Very homely and clean. Staff were accommodating to our requests as well. Enjoyed the cereal and tea and coffee for breakfast , complimentary. Location was close and conveniently situated for our intended purposes , which was to visit the mediclinic hospital frequently.

Not all rooms have a bathroom door , so it’s a bit awkward going to the toilet with someone else in the room. Property should consider adding a door to all bathrooms. As the place was not full when we went , management accepted our request to move to a room that had a bathroom door so thank you for accommodating 👍🏻

Great value stay in central Pietermaritzburg with comfortable, clean rooms, and warm, friendly hosts. Would highly recommend!

This isn't "something I didn't like" rather a small note in case helpful for anyone else: the phone numbers listed on booking.com for this property were incorrect as of 25/5/2024. The team at the guesthouse are aware of it and are actively trying to get this updated but just in case anyone is worried the numbers don't work - you can try Facebook Messenger or the booking.com chat :)

Location was fine, Waheeda the receptionist/manageress was excellent from before the time we booked, the owner Shameema was friendly as was the night receptionist Sbu and the helper Ivey. Also I noticed downstairs had an 'eastern' toilet which is considerate as it suits me for religious reasons. The place was clean and comfortable - a real homely experience.

The parking though I must stress for the price we paid it is an admittedly small gripe I know the lodge might not be able to do much about it - maybe liase with guests as to who needs to leave early in the morning etc so as to ensure we are parked in a convenient order for each other.

Beautiful and quiet place so clean, friendly staff oh and my room was very lovely. I'll definitely book it again.

Loadshedding though it's really not you fault but I think you should get a back up. We were so hot and couldn't use aircon or fan.

Due to unforeseen circumstances I was only able to check in at 23h00 & they were very understanding & accommodating

Due to the location, there was a fair amount of noise on the streets through the night

I like the fact that it was a quite beautiful place .

I ddnt like the fact that at the gate there’s no button your press to get inside we had to shout at the gate for time to open the gate for us .

Location of the place is central and close to everything. Traveling around was hustle free and not expensive.

My Room was so big, it had space and it was clean. I loved it. The other thing they offer breakfast cereal in the kitchen which is so cool but unfortunately I didn't know, I only find out on the last day. they didn't say anything about that

My bed was not comfortable, I think it was broken. Everytime I wanted to change side it was like someone was knocking on the door that how it felt

The room was perfect - neat and fresh and comfortable The yard, the building and the reception look good I wish we stayed longer to experience more

The street looked scary and dark. We were not even sure that the navigator was taking us to the right place

The place is very clean and the staff very very friendly

Parking is a bit of an issue but not serious. Add more TV channels please
