Tina was super friendly and on the ball. Shortly after booking, she Whatsapped the Google Maps location and enquired about my approximate arrival time. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless. The bed was super comfy and the white towels and bath mat gleaming fluffy white. There is a little bar fridge, coffee and tea, kettle and milk and a little fan heater that took the chill out the Midlands winter air. In the morning I was served a wonderful warming breakfast of cinnamon oats and stewed apples in my room. Bancroft was a much needed little retreat and Tina's warmth made it feel positively homely. When I go back to Pietermaritzburg, I will definitely be staying at Bancroft again!

The property has the most amazing whimsical garden, the host made us feel comfortable and warm. Excellent breakfast, and lovely coffee. Loved our room with a massive bath and shower.

Bancroft is a lovely, homely B&B. The garden and pool area is very pretty, with a busy birdlife. Tina was the perfect host who communicated well and was very kind to us during a difficult time. The breakfast was delicious, the room and bed both very comfortable.

Tina was a brilliant host- she took care of us personally! Outstanding breakfast - Charity cooked superbly. Bathrooms were clean and shower had very nice warm water.

Our hostess, Tina, was fantastic and we left feeling like she was part of the family. Breakfast and facilities were spot on. I would definitely recommend Bancroft B&B to anyone.

There was nothing for us to dislike. Everything met my expectations.

Premises a little old , however comfortable

Breakfast was packed as we left early, not impressive though. But I guess its good if served on site.

Would be nice to have a microwave in the room.

The place was easy to find - easily marked sign outside. The Owner and the staff were amazingly friendly. The place has a warm and cozy feel to it.

There wasn’t a hairdryer available in room and would have loved a shower, but next time will book room with shower☺️

Overall the peace and quite and the beautiful surroundings. The host is wonderful and communicated before and after the trip to ensure all went well. Rooms were great and breakfast was good too

Nothing to do with Bancroft but it will be so much nicer when the road works etc in the area are finished.
