The view from cottage 4 of the mountain was beautiful. The bed was big and comfortable, the room was serviced every day when we were out, which was a lovely touch. The little hike up the mountain and the river walk were so scenic and beautiful. The animals roaming around freely were a wonderful touch. The grounds are well-maintained and kept clean. The electricity tripped in our cottage, and someone was there within 5 minutes to sort it out. Dragon's Peak is so well situated.

Really just the smallest suggestions: At cottage no.4 the braai doesn't have a lip, so the coals kept falling onto the floor. It would be nice to have a space to hang scarves, beanies, coats etc. And the door handles need some WD-40. The path on the hike up and down the small hill could use some maintenance in some areas. And the dams need maintenance, we didn't see any fish in them.

The property offers everything you’d need, wonderful staff to assist your every need. Good food at the restaurant with possibly the best view of the mountains, we wanted to eat every meal there! And the cabin we stayed in was great, clean and tidied every morning by friendly staff. Felt very safe the whole time and enjoyed the gardens with a pool, dam and we saw Zebra.

Our unit was a bit near the gate and road so we could hear a few cars, none while we slept though which was perfect. We could hear the boys choir from our patio which was nice. And be aware of the monkeys which are brave enough to enter your cabin and help themselves to food if you leave your doors open (our fault we forgot to close the door and had a tasty avo out)

This review is long overdue, however now that I have time , I would really like to command everyone who manages the place everything was just perfect. From the boom gate to the reception, the room my goodness it was stunning right by the lake suite , THE VIEW!!!! 😊. Not forgetting the restaurant and their stuff , food was amazing , stuff and management were phenomenal. Last but not least even though we went there as a couple we also noticed that it was family friendly as well , from trampoline, pool, pool slides, horse rides, bike rides, hiking , convenient store which has a gas station as well hence we taking our kids next for Christmas 😍oh and kuddos to the cleaning stuff as well such warm and friendly people . Now from myself Mrs Calow and my husband we say thank you Dragon Peaks ❤️

The view of the mountains!! The open spaces, peace, position

Accommodation was starting to look a bit tired. There needed to be a concrete pathway from the front door to the driveway - had to walk through mud all the time. office staff didn't appear to be on top of their job. We originally booked directly with the office and received an invoice for R6 OOO when we knew it was the same as yours. We then cancelled that booking and booked through you (R3050). TV only had 2 channels working (one being soccer and the other SABC 3) when the literature said there would be 5.

We absolutely love the location and the resort is very well kept. We had friendly staff and was assisted for late check-in without any problems. Our room was located next to the dam and had pictures perfect views of the mountains. The room was well equipped and comfortable. The food was of good quality and very delicious, no complaints at all. We will definitely be returning for a longer stay.

There aren't any thing not to like, just some small paint touch ups here and there. And the restaurants needs a well deserved makeover.

Loved the views and walking trails although they need some upgrading. Some places on the trails were so overgrown that we could hardly see the footpath! The restaurant and staff were superb!

The entertainment area needs a serious upgrade. Roof was leaking.The one snooker table, the white ball got stuck, and the other one didn't have all the snooker balls. The table tennis bats seriously need to be replaced! Reception lady needs a smile and patience!

Beautiful big room with gorgeous view of the little lake and mountains from the balcony. Lovely large bathroom and walk-in shower. Comfortable double bed with super bedding and electric blankets. The kitchen had all the necessary items and appliances one needed. A tiny electric heater was supplied.

The tiled flooring made the room very cold so a carpet would have helped. Although breakfast was included - it is from the a la carte menu and does not change.

We had the best unit with the view of the mountain and the lake, with the waterfall next to us. This resort is excellent value for money, with magnificent views, clean, modern interior and attention to detail (the outside light by the braai wasn't working we didn't report it, but by end of the first day they replaced it). The cleaning staff are very professional and friendly, and the receptionist was very accommodating in my request. The property is very accessible for those with mobility issues and perfect for walks and hikes. Can highly recommend this resort and its restaurant, it is a definite favourite we will be sure to return to. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Chairs outside were a bit uncomfortable but that is really a minor thing, compared to all the other great things about our unit

The view over the lake is quite something, and it is lovely to listen to the birds and frogs at night. The room is spacious, very clean, and fairly well equipped (see comment below). The grounds are well kept, with plenty of places to walk and relax.

There is no hairdryer and no adapter plug for the large 2-prong plugs; they could warn you to bring your own. They can consider putting monkey screens on some windows, so you can let some fresh air in without worrying about the local wildlife inviting themselves for dinner.
