Everything, apart from the items noted below, was excellent. Also, we were celebrating my wife's birthday and the manager left a gift of a bottle of wine in the room, a very nice gesture.

1. I was disappointed that the room was a little small as I had paid extra for one that had enough space to accommodate 3 although there was only 2 of us. 2. When I upgraded my room with Booking.com, it was noted in the confirmation message that bathrobes would be provided. When we arrived, I noted the absence of them and called Reception to report this stating that my wife and I wanted to use the pool and was told they would be sent up. 30 minutes later, they had not arrived so I called reception again. They were most apologetic and said they would personally bypass housekeeping and deliver them. They never arrived! 3. I felt the room decoration was a little tired.

Reception was good including car valet and room service. The Bedroom was very clean and provided all essentials. The grounds were well kept and we could walk out in the most pleasant scenery. The breakfast and bar facilities are commented on below. The swimming pool was used by us and was a very pleasant experience. We did not use all the spa facilities but they looked very good. Staff were at all times most courteous and nothing was too much trouble for anyone, however Senior or Junior they were.

No real criticisms but: We picked a school half term for our visit so invariably the hotel was full esp. with families and children. This resulted in pressures which impacted on us as a « mature » couple. Waiting for a long time on the 15th Feb before we could get into breakfast was not altogether pleasing. In the Bar we felt that the music being played was too loud to allow a meaningful conversation. In the Birnam restaurant while the food was fine it was difficult to read the menu in the candle-lit atrium part so an i-phone flashlight had to be deployed. Every possible new gadget and charging need could have been catered for except for a Smart Watch charger which we unfortunately had omitted to bring with us!

The breakfast was excellent ! The best we have ever had The staff were so kind! The Scottish hospitality and kindness are the best in the world! The surroundings and interior are divine The little shops add to the experience The golf experience and shops The possibility to eat in several restaurants The shooting range and dogs, The axe throwing , enough to do

It is a pity the queen beds are not a bit larger . They are more single beds We used The wellness area twice and were disappointed. The floors were not clean. The communication should be better that you have to take your slippers and robes from the room. While the info in the room says everything is provided in the wellness area. There were not enough beds and it was very hot in the swimming pool area. The jacuzzi was also too hot The number of guests does not match the capacity

I was looking for a place that brings peace and calm and old charm elegance and I found it all in Gleneagles. I was told this will be the highlight of my Scottish trip, and every moment of it proved it indeed was. Beautiful place to be with a child, with the help of (Mo) in its ‘Playground Planners’ team, my daughter and I were able to do: rifle shooting, archery, golf and off-roading.

- I was hoping for a room in the main building, but was given an indeed beautiful room on the newer extension, a bit of a walk, but the room was beautiful and cozy. - I booked many activities through their ‘Playground Planners’ team - sad to not have the horse riding booked for me.

Gleneagles is the very definition of timeless British elegance. From the moment you arrive, you feel immersed in an atmosphere of refined aristocracy, with impeccable service that makes every guest feel truly valued. The property is stunning, blending classic grandeur with modern comfort. Dining here is extraordinary — the Beef Wellington was, without question, the best I have ever tasted in my life, and the breakfast is simply flawless, offering a perfect start to the day. The room was spacious, beautifully appointed, and absolutely comfortable, making it hard to leave. A true gem in the southern Highlands, Gleneagles exceeded every expectation and left me eager to return.

I loved it

The hotel was beautiful and staff were exceptional. The Christmas decorations were perfect. Food was out of this world. Room were very spacious and spotless

We didn't find the stay overly relaxing. The hotel was far too busy. We had to queue in the evening to be able to have a drink before dinner ( which in the end we had to miss out on). Coming down the stairs before dinner to the main reception area it seemed quite manic with people queuing to check in, then in the middle of all this a piper and a bride and groom appeared following by their guests. The staff were extremely stretched but very very professional and I take my hat off to them. My partners Barbour jacket never reached our room at check-in but reception are aware and are trying to locate it. The clay shooting was fantastic. The instructor that my son had was excellent. I have enquired for information into becoming a member along with the driven pheasant day.

Couldn’t fault it. The resort is superb with lots to do and some lovely walks around the estate. Breakfast is something else. Service is great and staff all very accommodating.

Only negative, we were allocated a room with no view. Our outlook was over internal rooftops which bearing in mind where we were was very disappointing.

great place for family, very welcoming staff and excellent facilities. we enjoyed our stay very much.

1) so many food with alcohol , even strawberry jam. that was very disappointing. 2) although the room rates are very high and included service charge ( all F&B and other services also including service charge) yet they imposed as least GBP 600 as extra service fee. i challenged them and they removed it eventually.

Everything is good. The facilities, golf courses, room, and the staff service level and attentiveness were just excellent. The breakfast spread and food qualities are superb. The restaurant in the hotel, andrew girlie and dormy serves us one of best dinners and the experiences that we have at Andrew Fairlie was just mind boggling. Definitely will come back. The 2 golf courses is just awesome.

Nothing at all . Just that it has big crowd and lots of kids but this a holiday resort and peak of summer. Should have expect that.

Almost everything. Stunning location. Fantastic staff. Leisure facilities superb. Cleanliness, decor and furnishings opulent. We ate in The Dormy first night. Food was excellent. All four of us chose from the Indian menu. Fabulous and good value for money. As expensive as you would expect for such beautiful surroundings and service. Must give special mention to the staff. They were superb. Did not come accross one member of the team who disappointed. Friendly, helpful and professional. Whoever is recruiting and training them should be congratulated. They are all clearly happy to be working there. Thankyou

Only (slightly) negative experience was dinner in the Birnam on second night. Felt charging for all the sides and sauces was excessive - having said that the pasta was very nice (carbonara and lasagne)
