Quirky little bar local musicians were having a wee jamming session . So nice to see and hear especially the Accordion. The room was lovely nostalgic furniture added to its charm . The mini fridge with a proper bottle o fresh milk made my stay the best . Better than uht pots . That milk makes a huge difference to a lot of people certainly for me . Clean comfortable and friendly it’s the small touches that make a stay great. .

No breakfast available cafe near by but not open for early departure. Not a reflection on the property as it was charming.

Good honest old hotel with tried and tested traditional decor clean throughout. My room was small but my exclusive bathroom just down the hall was well above average size and well equipped. Staff were very friendly and the food was first class. I took advantage of the Polish chefs expertise and went for a first course of dumplings followed by meatballs in tomato sauce both delicious. Breakfast provided just down the road at the golf club house was very good and lovely views over the course. Dunning is a very interesting place to stay over. Lots of eventful history. Two great pubs a shop and some good walking. Great value. Enjoyed my stay. Oh and the mini fridge in the room was a rare and useful addition.Thank you.

Wonky toilet seat and a sash window in the bathroom that had to be chocked open. Nothing major though

Very friendly helpful staff. Good to be able to have a drink in the bar in the evening. Looked like a good choice of meals in the hotel although we didn't eat a meal there. Room very clean. Very good value for money and not overpriced.

Bed mattress felt a bit like a water bed as any time me or my partner moved in bed it woke the other up! Maybe a new mattress is needed. Breakfast at the golf course was fine for my meat eating partner but not much for me who can't eat meat or dairy although the egg sandwich was really nice. May have been nice to have some cereals as an option as well as cooked breakfasts.

It is a great location near Perth but in a charming village. I liked the friendly atmosphere of the pub/hotel. The staff were really welcoming and helpful, as I couldn't stick around for breakfast on the first day she made sure I got a pack lunch instead to take with me early in the morning. The cooked breakfast the second day was great. Superb value. Private bathroom was clean. Very good if you like simple and basic facilities and value that it represents. The establishment had a lot of character.

The room was quite small but OK for using as a single. There was nowhere to hang clothes in that room.

This is a lovely pub. We arrived around 10pm after a terrible journey and were happy to see that the bar was still open! The staff were incredibly welcoming, and immediately showed us to our rooms. The larger en suite room in particular was lovely, but the smaller double, with private, separate, bathroom was also perfectly good. It was perfect for an overnight stay en route to the very North of Scotland.

We were told breakfast was available from 0830. It's not in the pub, but in the golf club canteen, a few minutes walk from the pub. When we arrived at 0830, the chef hadn't arrived. She didn't get there till 0845. When we asked if we could order our food, we were told that they were already busy with the table of two who'd arrived just in front of us. We did eventually get served, and the full breakfast was fine, but we didn't finish until gone 0940, which was frustrating, as we'd hoped to be well on our way by then.

It was quiet and comfortable. Outside it was cold and windy, but the room was warm and quiet. Great food and atmosphere downstairs in the pub. Surprisingly, in my room I couldn't hear the noise of the pub, even though my room was directly above it. I was well looked after, too, by staff.

The bathroom was private but it wasn't ensuite, so had to go out of the room to access it. It was alright, though, not too bothersome.

Loved everything about this place! Staff were fantastic, friendly and very knowledgeable of surrounding areas and of things to do and places to visit. The food was amazing. Breakfast was included in the price and boy, it was some breakfast. You had a great choice from the menu and I thoroughly recommend the Haggis! The locals were so friendly also. Nice clean hotel. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Climbing the stairs with suitcase. Only had to do it once though😁

The bedroom was cozy and comfortable, where I slept right through (a rarity). The staff were lovely, and the meal downstairs was delicious. The town itself was a gift that kept giving on every corner, full of history and beautiful landscapes - I may even base part of my next book here.

The separate bathroom, though private, was cold in traditional Scottish temperature, as was the hot water that was not so hot. Still, it wasn't enough to sway me from returning. This place is charming.

Location. The Monday night curry buffet. Food, wine. The bar. Live music jamming session. Liked the village of Dunning and the surrounding area.

Would have liked breakfast on the premises but not too far to the cafe along the road. Room was small but that was reflected in the price. Private bathroom not en suite but again reflected in the price, so all good.

a friendly welcome from Anna at the bar and immediately shown to my room above. Comfortable bed and nice ensuite facilities. it turns out Monday night is curry night followed by locals playing music in the bar. Very enjoyable. A short walk to the remarkable St Serf's church is well worth it. I would stay again if I was travelling in the area.
