It was a lovely welcoming atmosphere and staff were lovely. Food was very good. Vera who served breakfast on both days we were there was lovely and very attentive, could not do enough for you. The breakfast is very good value for money, would definitely recommend this.

The room was smaller than we expected for the price paid. The fact that the restaurant is not owned by the hotel, meant having to pay for food separately. Also if you moved from the bar to the restaurant, even though both owned by the restaurant, you had to pay for the drinks in the bar and in the restaurant separately. My husband asked on Friday if he could run a tab for the weekend and settle up on Sunday and was told yes, but the staff member who told him this finished at 6.00 pm and we were then told no, it all had to be paid separately.

Loved the location, me and my boyfriend were staying here as we were taking part in the Auchterarder running festival and it was just a 5 minute jog from the starting place which was fantastic. Lots of nice cafes, shops and bars around too. The staff were absolutely amazing with us and even let us sit for a tea and coffee before we had even checked in. They brought us extra tea, sugar and water during our stay and also let us use the toilets to get changed before heading home after we had checked out. The staff made the stay for us, they were brilliant.

Super friendly staff. Great food and atmosphere. Room was clean and comfortable. For us a 1 night stop on the drive north and was perfect for this. I note other reviewers have mentioned noise from the bar - not a problem for us, there was karaoke until midnight - audible from the room but didn't stop me going to sleep (and there were some incredible locals singing whilst we down in the bar!)

I stayed for work to attend an interview in Gleneagles Hotel - I was pleasantly surprised regarding the rooms in the hotel, my bed was extremely comfortable and the room was a good size for a myself - the shower was a bit small and I noticed some hair on the floor in the bathroom only a small issue and I had dinner in the restaurant it was extremely busy and my Chicken Korma was delicious would recommend for anyone who is staying in the area on business or leisure - loved also how the TV was a Smart TV as I was able to relax in my room and watch my show on Netflix while preparing for my interview. Thank you all each team member was pleasant

Fried Breakfast was lovely, although no potato scones! Loved the fact that I didn’t have to make my own toast or stand in line at a toaster, something that really bothers me! Staff were lovely and very helpful. Was impressed with shower and loved the large fluffy towels in bathroom. Always happy to see a kettle and tea/coffee in the room, plus biscuits. Beer garden was lovely too although weather wasn’t good so didn’t get to enjoy sitting outside

Narrow winding stairs to the bedrooms, so unsuitable for anyone with disabilities. Struggled slightly with luggage too, had to make two trips as found the stairs awkward .There was no mirror in bedroom over the dressing table either, or a full length mirror so had to use a hand mirror when using the hairdryer.

Clean, modern and reasonably spacious room.

The breakfast. The scrambled egg and bacon was above average, though the bacon was quite salty. The plate was too small for the food . The cereals, fruit and yoghurt were terrible. Cereals and yoghurt full of sugar, unripe fruit. I would like natural yoghurt, nuts, oatmeal, grains, strawberries, raspberries, dates etc. to make my own muesli.

The bar looked great and the cosy corner was ideal for chilling in the afternoon. The restaurant was amazing! Honestly some of the best Indian food I've had in years, and thought it was great you could mix and match with traditional pub classics too. My husband was very happy too with the range of beers on tap. Plus, there's a pool table and delicious cocktails, so we were happy 😊

Our room was above the main bar, so we could obviously hear the music/chat below until quite late on. That said, it wasn't too intrusive and it didn't keep us awake, just one to keep in mind if travelling with younger children.

The staff were great, very welcoming, especially as I booked it late. Parking was okay at the side of the place on the road. Breakfast was really nice. The Bombay food in the evening was great.

Not having to get redressed after going to bed to move my car from the rear of the property, even though I had advised where I had parked when I first arrived.

The room was spacious and looked as though it had been redecorated very recently. Everything was very clean. The shower room was also spacious and spotless. We particularly appreciated the really large bath towels. Breakfast was very sustaining.

There was nowhere to put anything in the shower room - a shelf or cabinet would have been welcome. There were no instructions at all about procedure in the event of fire. The room was a bit bleak without any pictures.

Accommodation was booked at short notice during hurricane. Exceeded expectations with pub and restaurant facilities very good for this grade of hotel. One of the two rooms we booked recently had a bathroom upgrade, the other probably awaiting upgrade but free from problems and price reflected the difference. Meals were excellent. Would stay again if visiting Auchterarder.
