It was a wonderful hotel, in a beautiful location tucked away in the countryside, minutes from Stirling. Unfortunately I didn't get to fully enjoy it because I got food poisoning after the first night (not in any way related to the hotel) but there are much worse places to be ill. On the first night after checking in, we enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant and then retired for a drink in the lounge...the hotel has a lovely charm and feels homely as well as luxurious. The staff are amazing and welcoming, and we genuinely felt looked after whenever we (my husband, mainly) needed anything. He dined at the hotel every night we were there and said the food was consistently good. We will absolutely be going back next year so I can actually properly enjoy the experience.

We stayed here here for three nights, we booked in and the receptionist showed us to our room, she was very helpful and polite and explained about the restaurant and the bar. The room was very clean and really warm. we ate out so i can not say what the restaurant or the bar was like or how the food was. There is a QR code down by reception that gives you some history of the hotel. The floor does creak a lot but that did not bother us much plus with the age of the hotel you have got to except the creaks or the odd pipe banging, other than that it was very peaceful at night, which is what you want when you have been out all day exploring the local area.

There was nothing that we did not like about Broomhall Castle.

Excellent stay. Room was large with two big double beds,.perfect for a family of 4. We also had our cockapoo. Bathroom was lovely too. Great layout with a bar, dining room and separate lounge area. Location was great too up on a hill surrounded by trees. The only reason I gave 9 stars instead of 10, is because the breakfast, although it was delicious, only had one poached egg, and could have had a better portion sizes of other items for the price paid. The kids breakfasts were a great size and great value for money. We will definitely be back. An extra bonus was the old style pac man machine that the kids loved in the bar.

I had spent Christmas here on my own and have had an absolutely wonderful time! The staff have been truly incredible—so friendly and accommodating. I’d like to express my heartfelt thanks to them for making my solo Christmas feel so special. I had extended my stay and booked a small room for an extra night, and the staff gave me a free upgrade to a suite! The food is delicious. I’ve had a chance to try out everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. Breakfast was included in my booking, and while I needed to pay for dinner, it has definitely been worth it. The castle and the room I’ve been staying in are beautifully maintained, spacious, clean, and full of charm and character. The facilities are excellent, and everything has been seamless throughout my stay. Never had any issues. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Broomhall Castle for making my stay—and my Christmas—so special. Your dedication and hard work, especially during your own Christmas, have not gone unnoticed and are truly appreciated.

In check in help with my luggage was offered. Room was better than expected based on the photographs. Sofa was great size and very comfortable Staff were very polite and welcoming in the restaurant

Whilst a smaller hotel and good signage some orientation on arrival would be beneficial. For example there was a QR code that once I noticed it later that evening it pulled up a great history of the building and a digital version of information usually in the room. It would have taken a minute to point out on check in There was no WiFI due to the recent storm however, this was never communicated. I made an online reservation for dinner which was not found on the system. This may have been linked to the WiFi availability however not a problem I was accommodated.

Lovely dog friendly staff that were all very pleasant,🥰 very clean and large room and the fact that dogs were welcome in every part of the hotel, even the restaurant made it for us👍 Very grand looking building that stands high up with a great view. Massive bed which was fabulous 😊 The price of the drinks were very good too, we would visit again... 9/10 👍

Nothing major tbf, small moan, the fact that there were no biscuits on the tray with the tea and coffee which is unusual for a hotel and the bed was a little on the hard side for us, apart from that it's a nice place.

On arrival we were greeted and shown personally to our room which was fantastic. Due to the visit being to celebrate our anniversary we got a lovely treat of prosecco in our room. The bath in the room was fantastic - lovely and deep! We had booked dinner at the restaurant and it did not disappoint. The service was fantastic, lovely waitress who took care of us and again provided us with complimentary bubbles for our anniversary dinner - what a lovely touch, and very much appreciated. The food was delicious and atmosphere, although a little quiet suited us perfectly. We had a lovely night together in our 4-poster room - and came down to breakfast which again was delicious. Overall we would thoroughly recommend this hotel. Beautiful views, lovely people and fab food. Great experience - we will definitely book again this year for another wee overnight!! thank you all for helping make our anniversary as special as we thought it was too.

Located in a beautiful area within walking distance/5minute drive of some beautiful woodland and hillside walks. The castle is beautiful, and slightly dated, which we loved. We were greeted warmly and everything explained. It is £20 additional charge for our dog to stay, which is no issue as we are aware of the extra cleaning required for fur, etc. The bedroom is gorgeous, with a large bed, gorgeous furniture and a simple, yet clean and tastful bathroom.

Our only negative comment would be, that as big tea/coffee drinkers, there was not enough milk and didn't get replenished the next day. We were unable to bring our own milk as there were no fridge facilities in the room. This meant we had to ask for fresh milk from the kitchen in the morning which made us feel a bit of a pain.

Liked the quirkiness of staying in a 19th century castle. Magnificent view over the Forth Valley, although not from our room which faced the back. Comfy bed. Warm room. Lovely dining room. Good food, accompanied by a pianist on a grand piano the evening we were there. Slept well and enjoyed our stay. Nice pastries for breakfast.

The ensuite bathroom window didn't shut because the sash-cord was broken. Cold wind coming in. Hopefully be repaired soon. There was only one lampshade on the 3-branch centre light, which seemed a bit strange. It would look better if they took that lampshade off as well. The tv didn't seem to connect to any live tv stations. We spent ages trying to find a film that was free to watch. Didn't matter for only one night, but would have asked at reception if we were staying longer. Got the impression that the renovation of the castle was still a work in progress, but we're sure that the smaller rooms like ours will be sorted out soon. Good luck to the owner- hopefully 4 stars one day.

I recently stayed at this hotel with my two children, and it was a fantastic experience for our little family! The room was spacious and very comfortable, with large, cozy beds that gave us all plenty of room to relax. The bathroom was a real treat—lovely and modern, with a great tub that the kids enjoyed. Breakfast was excellent, with generous portions that kept us full for the day ahead. They offered a nice selection of fresh fruits, which was a great start to our mornings. Overall, a very family-friendly stay, and we would return.

The driveway to the property is dark and not clearly signposted. One towel wasn’t entirely clean with a stain which was a minor downside
