Amazing location, which is why we booked here. Included breakfast was excellent!
The lift is broken and apparently has been for a long time. It is not mentioned anywhere that you will have to climb several levels of stairs to get to your room. We were on the top floor and it was very difficult with our luggage. I imagine that many seniors would not make it and feel it should have been made known on the booking so people have the option of booking a lower floor if they feel thay cannot make the hike.

Close to the station. Windows that opened. Good hot water. WiFi was good for the most part but did drop at times. Tea, coffee and water provided and a sweet treat with the cooffe/tea. Bed was comfortable. TV had a good range of channels.
No where to leave my luggage after check out. The fight straight across from the night entrance my first night there. Other rooms decided to talk really loudly outside my room at 10pm at night - not the fault of the hotel, but it was annoying to be woken by them. I opened the door and they looked surprised to see my face. Stairs are the only way to get to the room and in fairness the hotel contacted me before hand so I used stasher.cim so only bought items foe two days I would stay again so nothing that would stop me staying

Great location, and the apartment was very big. I appreciated the fact that there were things like milk and washing up liquid. You usually have to buy things like this yourself, and we were only staying one night. A big shout out to the lovely girl working in the bar. We got a warm welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. Had a lovely conversation with her in the bar. Definitely an asset to the business! Didn't catch her name, but if she reads this, "Good luck in your final year at uni!"
The only complaint really was the sofa bed was really uncomfortable. Both beds in the rooms were fine though. The decor was a bit dated but thats me just being pernickety lol I would definitely stay again.

Location was absolutely superb! In the heart of the city centre everything literally on the door step and a short 3-5min walk to train station, car park right out the back door of hotel. Staff were great very helpful with recommendations of food places etc. We had 2 bedroom apartment with kitchen our apartment exceeded expectations of size. Bonus was guests staying get a percentage off any drinks or food whilst staying. We would definitely book and stay again!
The only main fault we had as much as it was clean and tidy it did not take long to start seeing all the Cobwebs going up and down the corner of the wall especially close to windows in all rooms and along the ceilings. Bathroom could be doing with a bit of TLC flooring in particular.

The hotel was very nice, it had a central location and is within walking distance from the castle/older part of town, the train station, restaurants and the shopping mall. The room was also very spacious and comfortable. The staff was also super helpful. We had some mechanical noise in our room from another part of the building, and they fixed it as soon as we complained which was wonderful.
The only complaint we have is that the draining of the showers can be improved. Unfortunately they do not drain well resulting in a pool of (drain) water. But this is an easy fix.

Spacious, clean and comfortable. Parking at the back overnight was free. Close to shops and cafes and public transport.
A bit of a rabbit warren to find reception. We did not have many stairs to climb luggage to our to our room but some would have to. Main problem there was no fridge. As we are on a road trip we carry some food and drinks. As it was summer and quite warm we had to throw some stuff out because of no fridge. Also I have medication that should be stored in the fridge. This had been a problem in US in the past but I am not sure if it is a common thing in Scotland. Hope not.

Staff is very friendly. We arrived after 10pm the check in time and the lady helped us to check in quickly and she is very nice. The hotel in general is good, good location good price and clean. The soundproofing of the rooms is not very good but acceptable. Found it a bit awkward in the bathroom because there was no shelfs/ surfaces by the handwashing sink and in the shower room to put our items ( tooth brush etc.) Also no where to hang towels. If these were provided experience would be much better.

I rented the 2 bedroom apartment for my family. It was incredibly comfortable and spacious. Having a bit of extra space was perfect after a couple of long days of traveling. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom very well appointed. I loved having the little bar downstairs. The young ladies who worked in there gave wonderful advice for dining and fun. Also the location is absolutely perfect for history and strolling.
It was a bit hot temperature wise. Definitely needed a fan to move the air.

Breakfast buffet was really good. A nice selection to choose from, including gluten free items. I really liked the decor of the hotel and the area that lunch was served. Very comfortable and a nice distance from other patrons, so conversation could be kept private. The room was rather small compared to what we are used to in Canada, but very well appointed, up to date and exceptionally clean. Staff were very friendly and effecient. Mapa's restaurant had exceptional service and a diverse menu. With a our dietary restrictions it is sometimes difficult to always eat out. We found plenty of options to choose from and the staff were very accomodating.
The location was difficult since we didn't have a car. There were no taxi's in the area, so getting back up the hill was difficult for me. Next time I will know to rent a car to make getting around that much easier.

A convenient wee location; excellent customer service from the staff member who checked me in. I was riddled with a cold and not feeling 100%, so you can imagine my delight at having a super comfortable room, fresh sheets and a big cosy duvet! Room decor was beautifully done, an old brick fireplace with flagstones greets you as you walk in, old but lovingly maintained furniture feature in the room. Perfect for travellers who still prefer a hotel over a soulless Air BnB!
Upgraded my room to a room with a view. There wasn't one, just a wall outside my window with the tops of the buildings across poking through. To be honest given the dark evening and dark morning, it didn't really matter
