The room was clean, comfortable and a reasonable size and all the staff we encountered were very pleasant and helpful. There is a good sized bar and restaurant area which was busy on the night we were there and we also had a great breakfast to set us up for the day on the morning of our departure. The property is located right next door to the Bannockburn battlefield site and visitor centre which was great for us as this was one of the attractions we wanted to visit during our stay. It also offers easy access to Stirling castle and the old town which are well both worth visiting. The hotel is also dog friendly which allowed us to bring our 12 year old labradoodle and there is a big area to walk your dog behind the visitor centre.

We only stayed one night and there was nothing that we encountered that would put us off staying again in the future. Our only observation was that when we first arrived the hotel looked a bit 'dated and tired' externally but on entering the inside gave a much better impression.

The location was really good, price ok and the beds were mostly comfortable and very clean. We enjoyed the varied breakfast and walking around the grounds. Check in and check out were very easy, and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall a good value for a family of four.

The roll away bed wasn’t assembled on our arrival and we had to figure it out ourselves and rearrange furniture so it would fit in the room. It was also not extremely comfortable for our very tall 13 year old son. The room was mostly clean but could have used a little more deep cleaning in spots like the table with the tea service. The bathroom could have used a little better ventilation, and the non-slip shower mat had some mold on it.

All staff very friendly and helpful that made us feel very welcome. Having been very disappointed in other hotels the previous two nights, as a non meat eater, I was delighted at the choices available in the menu. We were impressed by the quality and service of the food. Everything was freshly done and piping hot. Although very busy, Susan took time to ensure everything was fine with us and gave us good advice for breakfast as the kitchen would try and oblige with any request we might have. I did ask if there was a vegetarian option and was more than happy to wait for vegetarian sausages to be freshly cooked. Sandra, who multi tasked was amazing and nothing too much trouble - all done with a smile. Your staff are a credit to you and made all the difference to us enjoying our stay. Great that there were 2 wardrobe racks with plenty hangers - that doesn’t happen often.

Maybe another comfortable chair beside the coffee table would be good. Our room looked recently refurbished but the corridor carpet was a bit aged and worn in parts but I’m sure that will be on the agenda to upgrade.

Because we had a dog, we were in a ground floor wing just off bar, which had entertainment that night ( nothing wrong with that) but the banging of doors, which we think were the toilets was a bit disturbing but stopped soon after 12 am. Ordinarily, it would not have been a prob, but we were very tired after a long journey. This hotel was a pit stop to rest before continuing our journey up through scotland to Loch carron. Our son was in a room upstairs and heard nothing so fully rested lol

We love the King Robert. this was our 3rd stay there and we will stay there again. The staff are always helpful and cheerful. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. the hotel is on the Bannockburn battlefield which we love.

There is nothing we didn't like. Some minor upgrades/additions to rooms would be nice, like enough hooks in the bathroom to hang clothes and a towel would be helpful, air con would be lovely but guess that's expensive to install - our room got a bit warm. To be honest though we will still keep booking this hotel when we travel home to Scotland.

As it is right beside the Bannockburn Visitor Centre it was very convenient to us. It’s quite a way out of the centre of town though. The delightful restaurant and pub were very welcome after a long day of driving so we didn’t have to go out again. We were warmly welcomed by the front desk staff. The place looks very ordinary from the outside but is quite lovely on the inside.

The light in the bathroom was movement activated and we couldn’t control it which was problematic during the night. Also the room was quite stuffy so we slept with the window open.

It was a great overnight stay at the King Robert Hotel, the hotel in general is very comfortable and the staff were first class. The hotel is a little tired in places, and very traditional which we didn't mind. The bar/restaurant was very nice and the food was excellent. The location is great if you enjoy history as the King Robert statue & visitor centre is right on your doorstep, the centre of Stirling is also only 10 minutes away. Would I stay there again...yes, we had a very nice stay.

The decor inside and out is a little tired and showing some wear and tear, but it didn't detract from the overall experience.

Upon arrival we was met by a lovely lady on reception who immediately made us feel very welcome. Checked into our room which was lovely and warm and spotlessly clean. A nice modern room with a beautiful view. Evening dinner was fabulous and the serving staff was amazing as was Breakfast and nothing was ever to much for the ladies running this establishment. Breakfast you can have an all you can eat continental alongside a full breakfast with tea coffee and juice on tap. The array of food and drink for breakfast was an absolute delight. I loved every bit of my stay and will definitely be returning very soon .

As part of a much longer journey my wife and me stayed here for one night in May 2024. We had a twin room with a bath and shower. Car parking was free and breakfast was included. The location is excellent as it is right next to Bannockburn battlefield. The hotel was very busty as I think this is a hotel that caters for overnight bus trips - they have a meal and there was a singer "living the dream". Having so many having an evening meal meant we had a short wait but we were told this in advance so not a problem. I had the pie and mash and it was delicious. Breakfast was super busy and a mix of help yourself hot food and one of those toasters that seem to have lost the urgency and will to toast the bread. It was Ok though . The room was a little grubby but certainly not unclean. It is a hotel that is a bit tired so dont expect the Langholm at these prices. The staff though were so lovely - attentive, helpful and really polite and friendly. Beds very comfy

It was a bit run down but I would stay again.

We had a very comfortable stay. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of cushions provided. The TV was a great size and we were able to watch Netflix on it of an evening. The towels, mugs and beverages were refreshed/refilled each day. As a family of 4 there were 3 beds and a pull out bed. The pull out bed had a fun child friendly bedding design and my son was over the moon as although each room has different designs, his design had his favourite thing on it, dinosaurs, so he felt like it was especially for him. The shower was a good size. I have an injured leg and struggle bathing because of this, but had no issues in the room provided, as the shower was very open with only a small step and there was plenty of room inside. The room was clean and comfortable. It was also nice and peaceful and the site was next to a historic battlefield so in a good location and not far from other interesting locations. Dinner on site was very tasty.

Of an evening it could get a little too warm, but we opened a window and made do. It wasn't a big issue and wasn't unbearable, so it's not something that ruined our visit.
