The receptionist was efficient and helpful. The hotel is beautifully decorated and clean. The bedding and towels are fresh and excellent quality with very thoughtful touches in the room such as the tea/coffee facilities and a "Welcome" box of treats with a personal note from the family owned hotel staff. Breakfast offers a lovely choice. We had dinner and the menu was ideal for us with plenty of options. The staff and owner could not have been more pleasant and we hope to return for a longer stay as the hotel would make a very comfortable base for exploring the area.

There is nothing we can add as the hotel in near perfect.

Lovely decor, great location, very clean. Good sized room and bed. Nice little extras on the tea tray in the room (crisps, tunic wafer bar as well as shortbread biscuits) Staff were very friendly.

The only thing which I found disappointing was the included breakfast was quite restrictive and you had to pay extra for a full Scottish breakfast or things like eggs Benedict. The pastries ran out very quickly and despite asking, were never replenished. I felt the (expensive) room rate certainly should have included these items. If it had then I would have said it was good value for the money.

Lovely cosy hotel. Perfect for the cold weather. Log burner was burning in the little lounge/bar area. The space flowed from restaurant to bar to lounge. Very friendly staff and excellent care and attention to customers. Was family run and you could tell by the friendliness of everyone. Location was great for us. Room was nicely decorated. Lovely little note left by owners with crisps, chocolate and water bottles. Such a nice gesture. Food included was continental breakfast, but included eggs and toast, sausage or bacon so full fry up not required. Breakfast choice excellent. We had dinner both nights and lunch, food was excellent. Honestly couldn’t recommend more. Loved our stay and will definitely be back. Excellent value for money.

Got checked in early - 2 hours ahead. The staff were friendly with a community feel about the bar area in the evening with locals arriving with their dogs. The food was brilliant, I had the sourdough pizza for dinner - one of the best I've had. There was lots of snacks in the bedroom on arrival - biscuits, crisps and great coffee - Taylors instant coffee bags. The coffee at breakfast was superb and I had a lovely bacon ciabatta all included in the price of the stay. Was definitely value for money & a lovely modern hotel with a good car park in a good location.

On my floor, there was a few odd pieces lying in the hall way towards end of the hall - free standing fans etc - these could have been tidied away in a cupboard rather than out on show.

Lovely decor and great staff. Breakfast was also very tasty. Smart TVs and comfortable beds make it a perfect location for a relaxing stay. Great shower too.

The room was very cold. The bathroom was nice and warm, but the bedroom was uncomfortably cold, and I'm not someone who enjoys a lot of heat. It was a cold day/night in January, but there was one small radiator, tucked in the corner by the bedside table box, to supply the whole room with heat which just isn't sized right. When we went for dinner, we turned the small radiator up full, left the bathroom door open to move some of the heat from there and closed the curtains and it was still very cold when we returned.

It was so warm and welcoming. The staff, Stephanie especially, were all so pleasant, helpful and friendly. They were all very attentive to the customers’ needs ensuring a happy and comfortable stay. The food, drink and breakfast was great with an outstanding selection and variety. The bar and restaurant were beautiful too. With a log burning fire burning throughout the evening and the dining room furnished beautifully with hints of Scotland. The bedroom was beautifully furnished with great facilities- the bed was so comfortable!! Location was ideal for a stopover heading north too. Couldn’t recommend this place more! Outstanding!

Nothing whatsoever!

The property is in a lovely location within close proximity of Doune Castle and Dunblane Cathedral. Our room was bright and sunny. The bed was comfortable and the shower large with very powerful water pressure. The food in the restaurant was excellent. One problem we experienced was the noise from the busy road outside discouraged us from opening the window at night making the room a bit hot. Perhaps this could be remedied in time by installing new soundproof windows. Also, there was a kettle in the room but no tea or coffee.

The room was cosy, bed was very comfortable, shower room was perfect with a very nice big shower, room with filled with teas, coffee, snacks and biscuits. Bar/restaurant area was nice and gutted we arrived too late to use these facilities. So will definitely come back if we are in the area for dinner and drinks. Breakfast was amazing! Fabulous continental breakfast selection and the cooked breakfast (which was included in the price) was amazing! Staff were very nice and accommodating to our late arrival (due to a flight delay)

Nothing! Would love to come back and definitely recommend to anyone!

We stayed 3 nights, room nice and very comfi bed, good bathroom. Breakfast very good, dinner reasonably good, service overall good. Enjoyed the stay!

One dinner was really not good at all and one breakfast we waited for 45 minutes and when we asked again, the cook supposedly lost the ticket. Having owned restaurants, I know better: server had 4 tables and had no clue / eye on what was going on. But, in all fairness, the 3 day stay was really enjoyable and the above only means we score them a 9 instead of a 10. We’d book again, no discussion.

The Woodside is a family-run hotel. The staff were great, very friendly. We had dinner there and felt that the menu had a good variety. We both loved our food. We sat in the cozy lounge afterward and got a good recommendation for whisky from the barman. The room was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed, including lovely snacks and water. Breakfast was great. They had some of the best sausages we had in Scotland. We enjoyed our stay so much that we wished we had booked another night.

The shower was small but not unmanageable.
