Hotel in the central position of Stirling. Spacious room. Working WiFi. Tea and coffee available in room. Spotless. Everything as advertised. Excellent value for money. Recommended.

Note that there are events in the hotel ballroom till late night (Fri/Sat). (However, even that it was a wrestling tournament we did not hear any excessive noise in the room.). Note also that elevator is small, slow and claustrophobic. We were also lucky with parking (I can imagine the parking lot is full.) Check carefully the direction to the parking lot (sent by hotel beforehand) as this is not easy to find. Anyway, we can recommend the acommodation due to the outstanding location, great feel based on long history of the hotel, and surprisingly good price.

The property is right in the centre of town and right near all of the pubs and restaurants. It’s a nice hotel, despite being an old building, and has a nice warm inviting atmosphere. The pricing is very reasonable also. This is our third stay over several years here and would stay at the property again.

The room was incredibly hot and there isn’t any air conditioning. The staff were kind to provide a fan, but we were unable to open the window and the towel rail in the bathroom is on full constantly so it generates a lot of heat. It cooled down at night but this might be a bit too much in the summer months compared to November when we attended.

Good location in the centre of stirling , bar reasonable priced for alcoholic drinks. Breakfast was nice, and there was plenty of choice.. bedroom was small.but but was comfortable and had everything u need.

No WiFi in rooms, and we also had no mobile signal. Staff wasn't very informative when we checked in and didn't tell us anything about what time breakfast was and where it was served. Didn't seem to restock your coffee, and milk had to ask for more at reception.. parking could possibly be a problem as small parking area we parked up and didn't use the car till the day we left.

Room was cosy the heating was on. It was clean and comfy. Staff were friendly. Quick easy check in and out.

Room though cosy was small. Breakfast was not as good as all our previous stays (all 5 of them). Could of done without other guests vomiting out side our door. We had been esrned there was some sort of whisky convention, thats a step too far

Location and fine restaurant food! Excellent staff. Let me leave my suitcase to explore the city when I arrived early.

Did not make up the beds daily or change Towels. I was in the lobby when they sprayed freshness scent… wonder if they vacuum? Some lobby chairs and 1st level public chairs visibly worn.

Location was very good. Very close to shops and restaurants also very close to train and bus stations. Breakfast was good and a good selection of food.

Hotel needs to be freshened up and chairs in dining room especially need to be cleaned and in the bar area, need to be refurbished.

Room was clean, well presented and spacious. Full size bath was a bonus. On site parking was provided with clear instructions on how to get there. Hotel was better than expected overall, with a particularly well stocked bar. Bed was harder than my wife would like but perfect for me. As our last stay in Scotland, it was a great way to end our mini tour.

WiFi is only available in public, which could be seen as a cunning plan to get customers to send more at the bar (which we did). No plug for the bath, which was more of an inconvenience than a real problem. My wife 'MacGuyvered' the sink plug in to a working solution. We couldn't find a hair dryer, which again wasn't a major problem.

The location was amazing, right in the middle of stirling, breakfast was good, the restaurant was also very good we enjoyed everything we ate there, the staff were super friendly and helpful with any question we had and they also helped us find a taxi to edinburgh in a day that seem a pretty busy one. The rooms were cozy and warm as well as the rest of the hotel it had a pretty warm vibe that we liked a lot.

WiFi is the worst, it doesn't works on the rooms and in the common areas sometimes it stops working out of nowhere so remember that if for some reason you're planning to work from the hotel, also mobile data is really bad as well in the rooms so maybe you will found yourself disconnected while being in the rooms so also take that into account. Bathroom is quite small and the shower takes some time to heat up the water and some times it became way too hot.

Location is perfect . Restaurant food was great . Restaurant and bar are lovely. We asked for refurbished rooms which I'm glad we did . Rooms are old fashioned and basic but comfortable for our stay. I'd return to the hotel as it was good value . .

One big problem with one of our rooms . (We had 3). It wasn't cleaned properly. There was rubbish in it from the previous guests stay which is unacceptable and it shows that it can't have been cleaned properly . However the hotel staff and manager dealt with this well when we told them and offered for us to change room

The location was excellent, very central to Stirling City centre. The communal areas, bar, and restaurant were excellent, beautifully decorated for the festive season, and the food in the restaurant was really good with great options for GF and vegetarian requirements. Our room was very reasonably priced, with a great size of room with a small table and 2 armchairs. The beds were comfortable, and the room was quite spacious. The staff were excellent throughout reception, bar, and restaurant. Highly recommend this hotel and will definitely book again.

The room decor was a bit tired but was still very clean with a decent over bath shower. The heating in the bathroom didn't work but the bedroom was very warm so this didn't bother us as there was plenty of hot water.
