It was a great overnight stay at the King Robert Hotel, the hotel in general is very comfortable and the staff were first class. The hotel is a little tired in places, and very traditional which we didn't mind. The bar/restaurant was very nice and the food was excellent. The location is great if you enjoy history as the King Robert statue & visitor centre is right on your doorstep, the centre of Stirling is also only 10 minutes away. Would I stay there again...yes, we had a very nice stay.

The decor inside and out is a little tired and showing some wear and tear, but it didn't detract from the overall experience.

Upon arrival we was met by a lovely lady on reception who immediately made us feel very welcome. Checked into our room which was lovely and warm and spotlessly clean. A nice modern room with a beautiful view. Evening dinner was fabulous and the serving staff was amazing as was Breakfast and nothing was ever to much for the ladies running this establishment. Breakfast you can have an all you can eat continental alongside a full breakfast with tea coffee and juice on tap. The array of food and drink for breakfast was an absolute delight. I loved every bit of my stay and will definitely be returning very soon .

As part of a much longer journey my wife and me stayed here for one night in May 2024. We had a twin room with a bath and shower. Car parking was free and breakfast was included. The location is excellent as it is right next to Bannockburn battlefield. The hotel was very busty as I think this is a hotel that caters for overnight bus trips - they have a meal and there was a singer "living the dream". Having so many having an evening meal meant we had a short wait but we were told this in advance so not a problem. I had the pie and mash and it was delicious. Breakfast was super busy and a mix of help yourself hot food and one of those toasters that seem to have lost the urgency and will to toast the bread. It was Ok though . The room was a little grubby but certainly not unclean. It is a hotel that is a bit tired so dont expect the Langholm at these prices. The staff though were so lovely - attentive, helpful and really polite and friendly. Beds very comfy

It was a bit run down but I would stay again.

We had a very comfortable stay. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of cushions provided. The TV was a great size and we were able to watch Netflix on it of an evening. The towels, mugs and beverages were refreshed/refilled each day. As a family of 4 there were 3 beds and a pull out bed. The pull out bed had a fun child friendly bedding design and my son was over the moon as although each room has different designs, his design had his favourite thing on it, dinosaurs, so he felt like it was especially for him. The shower was a good size. I have an injured leg and struggle bathing because of this, but had no issues in the room provided, as the shower was very open with only a small step and there was plenty of room inside. The room was clean and comfortable. It was also nice and peaceful and the site was next to a historic battlefield so in a good location and not far from other interesting locations. Dinner on site was very tasty.

Of an evening it could get a little too warm, but we opened a window and made do. It wasn't a big issue and wasn't unbearable, so it's not something that ruined our visit.

The hotel is in a lovely location literally next door to the Battle of Bannockburn site and there's a pleasant 30 minute walk into Stirling town centre. I stayed at the hotel for one night and all the staff I encountered were really friendly and helpful and there is a lovely bar next to the reception area. I didn't book a meal although this option was offered but many other guests did. I'd forgotten that my stay included breakfast but I'm so glad that I was reminded as it was among the best breakfasts I've had with continental and freshly cooked full Scottish options in a spacious dining area. The room size was adequate for one night and the bed was very comfortable ... the shower was excellent! There is ample free parking space available. All in all a jolly decent night's stay. Thank you.

The card key lock mechanism took me a little while to work out but that probably says more about me than the hotel!

Older property but scrubbed clean and obviously well cared for. One small touch in the rooms was overlapping the curtain tracks so there was no gap for peeking sun when trying to sleep. Why hasn’t everyone thought of this?? The staff was absolutely amazing. Every interaction was friendly and warm and all of the interactions I saw between staff were the same. They seemed to have a lot of fun together at work while still tending to customers first and that made the mood light and happy for everyone. The food was fantastic. We wound up coming back rather than finding a bite in town just because we knew it would be top notch. Will definitely be back!

The bed was not comfortable. I bottomed out when I sat down, and it was rather small for two. The toilet seat was a little slippy.

The super king bed. The wonderful staff who go the extra mile for their guests. All very friendly and helpful from waitresses to front of house staff. The food was excellent too with big portions - you certainly won't go hungry. Great location too with bus stops outside the door. We got the bus into Glasgow one day and into centre of Stirling another day. Also visited the Bannockburn Heritage centre which is next door and rooms look over the battlefield.

If I had to say something it would be the towels. Would appreciate a bath sheet as bath towels if you are on the larger side don't really dry you properly.

Friendly atmosphere. Room was good size, quiet and facing the garden. Beds comfortable and bed linens nice. We traveled with our dog and were able to use bar and attached lounge area for meals, superb for us. All staff were friendly and professional and made us so welcome. Nice walks around the surrounding area.

Water pressure was very weak. We could not adjust room temperature and towel rail. They were switched off throughout our two night stay. We enquired but were told they were on a timer, but they never came on.

The customer service. Breakfast service, staff on duty were great. Chef was really accommodating, making sure had fresh eggs for our breakfast. Loved that it was really dog friendly. Will definitely recommend to others. Bathroom, especially the shower was a great size, lovely and clean. Good sized family room. Plenty of extra bedding and cushions.

Breakfast ran out of food before 9am, however this was remedied by the chef making up more ASAP. Noise from a handful of guests banging doors and going up and down corridor in the earlier hours 1-2am. This isn't to the fault of the hotel or staff though! They did eventually go to bed! 😅🙌 No mini fridge in the room - would recommend this. So handy for travellers on route to further north, could then store fresh dog food and any travelling foodie bits.

The staff couldn't do more to make for a good stay. Of special note was a young man called Callum who went out his way when we had an evening meal on our first night there he made sure we were all looked after and our food was excellent and good value. Also of note was Lorna the receptionist who was a kind friendly face to greet us. The breakfasts were great with a good choice all well cooked and a well laid out breakfast room where you could eat as much as you liked, all included in the price
