This Hotel is great value for money, set inside the beautiful grounds of Stirling University. Free Parking. Great Full Cooked Breakfast or Continental Breakfast options. Very friendly staff. I’d happily stay here again.

It’s not a dislike as such, just a comment that the rooms are quite dated decor /furniture wise & small TV. However, perfectly clean & functional. Note I believe that the Hotel is owned by the university & not a ‘hotel chain’. Any profits made by the hotel after running costs goes to the university. So I appreciate it’s not anything like a city centre boutique hotel.

This hotel is conveniently located on the university campus. Generous breakfasts. Free parking. The rooms are of a perfectly adequate size and are well lit. The room service was good. There is a co-op on the campus for snacks. Very near the uni bus stop for getting into town. Very near the MacRobert Arts centre on campus. Staff are friendly. Large social areas if you don't want to be in your room.

The breakfasts were sometimes a little chaotic and unpredictable in terms of what food was and was not available. The beds are on some kind of casters which move about a little. It was hard to work out how to programme the TV to show Netflix.

The hotel is in the grounds of Sterling university, which is a nice/lovely location, but it is set apart from the university, so it feels like staying at a perfectly normal hotel. It felt like a good 3* hotel, as opposed to a 4*, but everything was immaculate and clean, the room was good and well equipped and the bed comfortable, the staff were also friendly and helpful. We had an excellent rate for our room, which made our stay excellent value. Breakfast was okay and convenient, but a little expensive for what was a pretty ordinary cafeteria breakfast. But given the room rate was so good this was not a problem. The location of the hotel on the outskirts of Stirling, near Bridge of Allan works well, with everywhere nearby easy to get to.

Staff were excellent, very friendly, and very helpful. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was very good. Grounds are lovely, and it's close to the centre and the wallace monument. Plenty of parking (at the time of my visit anyway). The bar looked nice with nice, comfortable seating, although I didn't actually use it.

It wasn't clear from the booking.com website that the facilities were not on site. The staff at the pool/gym were very nice but it's not a relaxing pool it's a-you're there to swim lengths- pool and if you're not then you're in the way. I don't think the staff would have mentioned the pool if I hadn't asked where it was. One of our rooms, although very large and clean, had the most uncomfortable mattress I've ever slept on and a tiny TV. The other room we had was very nice.

Quiet location set in the lovey grounds of the university campus. Not busy as it was end of term. Restricted times if you want to access swimming pool. Good base for exploring Stirling and surrounding area. Try and check prices in advance. I got a great deal compared to normal advertised prices. Good shower with bath,with very pleasant toiletries

Not really a complaint as I was only there for 1 night. Bedroom a tad old fashioned. Lack of sockets in room. No socket near bed, nor USB charging socket, So,take a charging plug.

We liked the pet friendly rooms on ground floor, the location and handy for the bus into town, there was a good choice for breakfast. housekeeping staff were helpful. we chose not to have our room serviced but were always asked if we needed anything. We would use again.

The charge for dogs but no dog bowls, the outdoor space for the dogs was okay but were not allowed to cut through the dinning area, and add an area for having dogs in the bar.

The food and restaurant were fabulous

The bed is the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in and gave me and my wife a sore back hip and shoulder. Also I would return in the future to dine at the hotel but to pay for parking in addition to the meal would put me off. If non residents are not encouraged to dine a potentially lucrative revenue stream is being missed especially given the quality of food on offer. The flaking paint on the bathroom ceiling is also an easily rectified fault but gives a run down impression, not enough for me to ask for another room but I would have expected the room to be out of use until it was painted as this would be no more than 24 hours.

There was a good selection of food for breakfast and the meals we chose from the bar menu were delicious. The room was comfortable and facilities were adequate for our needs during our stay, (although it was a little warm during the night}. The setting was lovely and we were able to take a short walk around the grounds before we met with family for coffee in the bar prior to setting off on our journey home. The bar and restaurant staff were extremely friendly.

The postcode given for sat nav led us to one of the admin buildings for the campus - the administrator was very polite and kindly gave us directions to the hotel but added that this was a common occurrence - perhaps better signage would help.

The booking system in the dining room could have been more flexible. Due to a shortage of staff, unfortunately people were turned away. Our bedroom (140) was in need of an update. It was clean but in need of a refurb, especially the bathroom as the toilet holder was loose and there was not a good water pressure in shower and the bath was very slippy when soapy.

The location is very accessible and at the same time, very quiet. Recommended to all visiting Stirling. The breakfast is good. The dinner is okay. The room is clean and we liked it very much.

We were not told that the pool is part of the university and when we arrived there, the life guard said if we don't know how to swim she needs to take out us from the pool. Hence, don't expect to have a recreational swim it seems they only want competitibe swimmers. It's a shame that the pool is beautiful and big but the university controls it.
