This was a "self catering" stay, so there wasn't a breakfast provided. However, they did put out a few yummy biscuits/cookies and had instant coffee and a kettle provided. The beds were very comfortable and the room was "ensuite". There was a TV, but we didn't use it. It was VERY ACCESSIBLE to Stirling and the Stirling Roundabout, to get you going in the right direction WHEREVER you might want to go. It was just enouhh on the "edge" of town, to feel like you were in the country, but it was still close enough to SEVERAL businesses!! We DID enjoy our stay!!

The Internet kinda went in and out. Not sure if that was because of our room or if it was the Internet, itself, but SOMETIMES it took a while to search for things on the Internet. One thing that MIGHT improve the stay, would be a small refrigerator and/or small microwave. That MIGHT cause the rates to go up though, so it depends on how long you're renting/letting the room for. Don't get me wrong, we LOVED staying there, but since we were there for 3 nights, there were times when a small refrigerator or microwave would have come in VERY HANDY!!!!

Elaine, the host, provided a warm welcome and was available for any questions. I loved the location, ideal for exploring the Central Belt and The Trossachs. Wallace Monument is a short drive away and the location perfect for local shops and the retail park. Brewers Fayre across the road, did not cater for my dietary requirements. I am gluten and yeast intolerant so an evening meal there was not suitable. I can however recommend The Holly Bank restaurant a short drive away. The bed was very comfortable in the accommodation, location quiet too. We liked the little garden at the front. We travelled with our dog, so the lane up the side was perfect for the toilet breaks.

The T.V in the bedroom is very small and high up on the wall, I would say approx 19" screen. In our opinion it would be nice to see this upgraded to a better size.

Self contained so quieter and felt more secure. Both single and king size (joined divans) beds available in room, so flexible for families/friends or choice for singles. Decent sized shower in en-suite. Well away from main roads on both sides of location, so relatively quiet for a more semi-urban location. Loved the offering of a biscuit with the complimentary tea/coffee making facilities. Thank you for a good welcome and a handy base to come back to each night

Bathroom needs redecorating. Joined divans will definitely need mattresses replaced by end of season. Glaring security light right outside door on all night and shining right through door window illuminating inside of room to almost daylight levels - perhaps either put a motion sensor on it or at least a curtain over door? Also hole at bottom corner of door needs attention before Mickey and Minnie find their way in!

Lovely owners made me feel at home, room was lovely and warm, clean and had everything you would need and more for a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend

Beds comfortable, room was pre heated upon arrival, room had 2 sets of blinds for extra blackout, room was clean and had tea and coffee facilities, milk sugar and biscuits. Plenty of facilities hairdryer, iron mirror and plug sockets next to both beds which was a pleasant surprise.

Spacious room with comfy bed and en-suite bathroom. We very much enjoyed having a work desk in the room and the tea station (always appreciated). The location is remote and quiet - we were slightly concerned about the construction works right next to the property, but didn't hear any of its noise. No issues with parking at all. There is a restaurant across the road which we didn't try but it's great to have the food option nearby despite the somewhat rural location. The host is very lovely and helpful!

Everything was good, one small tip - make sure you pay attention to the "how to find us" instructions which will be sent prior to your arrival. I didn't do that because we had been on the road for a few days and we were a bit confused when we arrived - the property is not visible from the main road and the SatNav only too us to the start of the street where the property is located, you have to drive a bit further down before you see a Hillhead Farm Lets banner.

Great location for our needs. Very quiet spot. The Brewers Fayre nearby made it easy to eat out if we wished.

The driveway into the property is very rough and manoeuvring to park is a bit challenging. The bedding provided on one of our beds was poorly fitted - but was easily exchanged by the proprietor.

Everything! checking in very easy, was pleasently met by the owner alasdair. Easy access to property, good transport, good taxis, pirn hall inn on doorstep for breakfast & all day food. exceptionally clean, tea, coffee & everything that goes with that provided daily, including biscuits & tunnocks 😁 shower powerful with constant running hot water. Debbie, the cleaner came every day, fresh towels & toiletries provided, great lass! antibacterial hand-wash on entrance. easy walking and exceptional views in every direction, great for dog walkers or cycling, our collies loved the fuss too 🐶🐶 Really couldn't fault it, so much so that it's a struggle trying to rebook..understandable. Value for money without a doubt 👌

We loved it! There was a garden full of beautiful flowers in front of the property, garden furniture: table and benches and chairs, great for spending some time in the evening, cozy porch, big room, good beds, clean bathroom, very nice and considerate hosts- they left us a note with all the details we needed to know

Hillhead Farm Lets are definitely a hidden gem. The location is ideal for traveling and sightseeing. We arrived and were immediately greeted by Elaine with a big smile, and she had ensured that we had secured and safe parking for our motorbikes. So grateful. The view of the accomadations gardens in the front of the establishment, well it was absolutely gorgeous with the beautiful scents of the sweetpeas wafting through the air. A delightful sight to be greeted by. We were further impressed by the room. It had beautiful decor and was very clean and organised. The bathroom facilities were lovely and all we needed. The bed was comfortable and the linen was clean and fresh. I did have to make arrangements for a second pillow to sleep with, but I know if I had asked Elaine she would have certainly provided additional pillows, but it was too late in the evening to be disturbing her. We got a wonderful nights rest and were well rested for our continued journey the next day, including Battle of Bannockburn and Wallace Monument. Coffee and tea facilities are provided in the room with some delicious biscuits.

I did battle to get a through breeze without having to open the door fully, allowing for all and sundry to see into our room, so maybe a little fan for those of us who suffer with 'heat' would be fabulous. Other than that, we cant think of anything we didn't like about the accomodation, service, facilities and location.

Good sized room. Super comfy bed. Easy check-in even though we arrived very late. Friendly owner. Free biscuits!

Zero flexibility on check out time of 10am even though my partner was ill and due to flight delays we hadn’t arrived until 2am. Not their fault & they did have more guests but we’d have really appreciated some flex, especially as that’s a pretty early check-out time.
