The location had lovely views and was very quiet. The lodge was Immaculate and very well equipped. Plenty of extras blankets, and duvets. Tea, coffee, sugar and milk also supplied and there were some sachets of different sauces including salt and vinegar etc..Plenty of toiletries and toilet rolls too. Nice fireplace in the lounge which heated up the room quickly. Instructions on how to use everything was in a folder along with information about local attractions and restaurants etc.

The WiFi would not connect to any of our phones. No issues with signal and using mobile data though.

We booked here for a little R&R getaway lastminute due to being recently diagnosed with cancer and decided to come away to get away from everything for a few nights before treatment starts. Wellsfield lodges certainly gave me time to rest . The lodge itself had everything you need and is very comfortable. Our lodge looked right out to the fields with the horses which was beautiful to wake upto and watch the horses during the day. My partner enjoyed his fishing 🎣 while i caught up on my soaps. Everything was clean and well presented within the lodge and all the little wee things hanging up over the lodge were lovely from pictures to plaques. I was welcomed with a birthday card, box of chocolates and a bottle of Australian wine (we are Australian). The first 5 days I had a chest infection, the owners were kind enough to grab some medical supplies for me. There is so much to do there for couples and families. The cabins are close by to see tourist attractions, close to the train station to go to Edinburgh and Glasgow.

There was nothing we didn't like, oh, except they could have organised some snow for us while we were there 😜

The lodge is well laid out, has all the amenities for a comfortable stay: well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, wifi, television, nice bathroom with good shower. We were very pleasantly surprised to find tissues in each bedroom, shampoo/shower gel/conditioner in the bathroom (and not just one of each, but lots more in the cupboard). Also found tea, coffee, sugar, cookies and milk as well as dishwasher and washing machine tabs!!! Our usual experience is to not find anything at all in self catering rentals, so this was a very nice change. The family was very responsive to our questions, quickly solved an internet connection issue and came by personally to check if all was ok.

The lodge size was perfect for the 3 of us. Even though it was extremely cold - the first proper cold spell of the year - the heat in the lodge made it feel very cosy - the living flame fire was the perfect touch. The extra touches like towels, shower gels, tea & coffee were perfect. We were only there 1 night, so we didn't get a chance to use the facilities such as the park, nearby pony riding, or the woodland walk. We would definitely return for another stay.

Check-in at 4pm is quite late when only here for 1 night. An earlier check-in would mean more use of the local facilities.

Great hidden gem, all the facilities you would need. Facilities are immaculate, grounds well maintained and the lodges are very cosy. Would highly recommend and will stay again!!

The couches in the living room are small and, although very clean and show no signs of damage , are not comfortable at all for sitting on. In fact, the wife and I had to cut our night short and lie on the bed!! I cannot understate how uncomfortable they were, even after a couple of hours. Could do with looking at these and maybe replacing them.

The cabin was fabulously clean and brand new. All the bedding was clean and the kitchen had everything you needed. Loved that there was a play park in close proximity to the cabins to keep a busy toddler out of mischief. I think the cabins would be brilliant during the summer when the full farm park is in action.

The cabin was a little cold and we struggled to work the heating. The bathroom seemed to be the warmest part. Cabins are slightly close to the main road so you can hear cars going by, but it didn’t really bother us that much.

Our recent stay was absolutely perfect for our family. The kitchen was not only well-equipped but had everything we needed to prepare meals effortlessly, which made our experience even more enjoyable. The lodge itself was immaculate and extremely well-maintained, reflecting the care and attention to detail of the hosts. The cozy ambiance, comfortable furnishings, and thoughtful touches throughout made us feel right at home. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to create lasting memories. Highly recommended!

Wellsfield Farm lodges were easy to access from the motorway and Sat nav guidance. Nestled in the countryside but close to road links our Lodge, Ben Ledi, was a very high standard, spacious and immaculately clean. Close to children’s play park and pony trekking. Staff very friendly and helpful, Jordan assisted us with information and pony trekking. He was very friendly and good at engaging with our granddaughter (5years), a very valuable member of the Wellsfield team!

Our cabin was newly renovated so it was very clean and pretty much kitted out how we would have done it (decor and all) with everything you need in the kitchen, daughter loved the bunk bed, the weather was pretty brutal but we weren’t even that bothered because we were so comfortable and warm inside hanging out. Liked the fact it was family ran and there was horses on site you could ride for a discounted price.

Not so much the property but was disappointed about the kids play area (set of swings and a balloon that wasn’t inflated because of the rain) , but after conversation with the owner you realise why it’s not there anymore.
