It is stunning. We stayed in Lodge no. 5 and it was absolutely spotless, facilities were fantastic including shower. Homely touches with tea coffee and bits and bobs for touch of luxury. The kids had a massive play park to run around in and horses galore. We had our dinner on the deck surroinded by 18 beautiful horses, and my little girl was beaming. Such a beautiful spot. We took a trip to the livery and purchaseda pony ride and even they made the stay even better by giving her a birthday helmet and vest. It made her day. Hats off the the owners, the cleaners, Laura at the livery all of it was top notch. Felt like a luxury stay at such a great price. We will be back if prices stay competitive! All perfect!

The location had lovely views and was very quiet. The lodge was Immaculate and very well equipped. Plenty of extras blankets, and duvets. Tea, coffee, sugar and milk also supplied and there were some sachets of different sauces including salt and vinegar etc..Plenty of toiletries and toilet rolls too. Nice fireplace in the lounge which heated up the room quickly. Instructions on how to use everything was in a folder along with information about local attractions and restaurants etc.

The WiFi would not connect to any of our phones. No issues with signal and using mobile data though.

Clean, location near Denny where we wanted to be. Equestrian element on site. Able to BBQ. Grass was nicely cut so kids could run around. We were blessed with good weather.

The TV received news notifications about the Iran/Israeli conflict during the night which woke us up. On the third night I unplugged the TV to put a stop to this. The shower head was not secure and fell/twisted down under gravity making the shower a very poor experience. (No bath) The play area no longer had the ‘bouncing pillow’ that the children had previously loved. We used portable BBQs which was fine on the flags provided. However it would have a much better experience if the stone surface was raised on bricks so we weren’t cooking kneeling on the grass. Also during our stay on our last day: we saw another lodge access a proper BBQ from a store shed: we didn’t know this was an option. No coffee maker/cafetière provided.

The playground area was amazing! It was such a highlight for our kids and we had so much fun! Kids got to play with some other kids and also just decompress after so much sightseeing. And just having the horses all around was so peaceful.

Only thing we didn’t love was having to use the key to lock and unlock the doors from the inside. If there was an emergency like a fire then you’d need to get the key and struggle with unlocking door to exit (cause it always took us a couple tries to unlock it), versus when you just unlock a switch on door and can leave. Literally the only thing we didn’t love cause this was a great stay!

We booked here for a little R&R getaway lastminute due to being recently diagnosed with cancer and decided to come away to get away from everything for a few nights before treatment starts. Wellsfield lodges certainly gave me time to rest . The lodge itself had everything you need and is very comfortable. Our lodge looked right out to the fields with the horses which was beautiful to wake upto and watch the horses during the day. My partner enjoyed his fishing 🎣 while i caught up on my soaps. Everything was clean and well presented within the lodge and all the little wee things hanging up over the lodge were lovely from pictures to plaques. Quiet, clean, comfortable. We loved this place. Horse pasture right out the window. A small playground that was very well kept. Friendly and responsive. I'm so glad we chose to spend the night here with our family of 4. Had a lovely wee walk to a sword in a stone. Also, a fishery in walking distance, we didn't get the chance to check out but looked fun if we were staying longer. We would stay here again. Kitchen well equipped and washer for cloths as well. Wish we took better photos. Photos on the listing didn't do how well kept the place is justice

We have stayed many times. Always comfortable and clean cottages. Friendly staff. Thank you Tony for arranging a birthday party for my daughter who turned 21. Cottage was too warm due to heatwave. Tony braught a fan. Lots of midges so opening windows in summer is a problem, but we improvised a net to keep them away and this cooled the cottage down a lot. We missed Henry during this stay. Hope my daughter's nightgown gets found she put in her pillowcase out of habbit.

I was welcomed with a birthday card, box of chocolates and a bottle of Australian wine (we are Australian). The first 5 days I had a chest infection, the owners were kind enough to grab some medical supplies for me. There is so much to do there for couples and families. The cabins are close by to see tourist attractions, close to the train station to go to Edinburgh and Glasgow.

There was nothing we didn't like, oh, except they could have organised some snow for us while we were there 😜

The lodge is well laid out, has all the amenities for a comfortable stay: well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, wifi, television, nice bathroom with good shower. We were very pleasantly surprised to find tissues in each bedroom, shampoo/shower gel/conditioner in the bathroom (and not just one of each, but lots more in the cupboard). Also found tea, coffee, sugar, cookies and milk as well as dishwasher and washing machine tabs!!! Our usual experience is to not find anything at all in self catering rentals, so this was a very nice change. The family was very responsive to our questions, quickly solved an internet connection issue and came by personally to check if all was ok.

The lodge size was perfect for the 3 of us. Even though it was extremely cold - the first proper cold spell of the year - the heat in the lodge made it feel very cosy - the living flame fire was the perfect touch. The extra touches like towels, shower gels, tea & coffee were perfect. We were only there 1 night, so we didn't get a chance to use the facilities such as the park, nearby pony riding, or the woodland walk. We would definitely return for another stay.

Check-in at 4pm is quite late when only here for 1 night. An earlier check-in would mean more use of the local facilities.
