Lovely location. Great friendly staff in general.

The steps making access difficult for my mother in law. Only one bottle of water in room. Insufficient biscuits in room. Poor first impression checking in where the receptionist told my wife the room was not paid for and then that no dinner had been paid for and charged my wife £186.90 which has still not been refunded. The attitude was that my wife was in the wrong and no apology was offered for the mistake. My mother in law is elderly, registered blind and hard of hearing but they were not offered an accessible room or help to take luggage to the room. The dinner allowance of £35 apparently did not include coffees and my wife was presented with a bill for £7.00 this morning. These experiences sullied what would otherwise have been an enjoyable stay.

Excellent hotel, in notable old school building, for visiting the fascinating City of Stirling. First and foremost good car parking, although on busier days this might get full. The room was of a good size and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was good. Location is a short walk downhill for pubs and restaurants (suggest drink in No. 2 Baker Street, eating choices are varied,) and a short walk uphill to the Castle, which is a must. There's a swimming pool as well, though we ran out of time to try this. Overall To Be Recommended.

Went to the bar for a nightcap; felt that malt whiskies were a little overpriced, though selection was good.

the facilities and location were great -

the windows in the room were drafty and rattled a lot in the wind - but it was quit windy during our stay - the choice at breakfast was great the food was really tasty - but serving a buffet type breakfast onto cold plates is not ideal the food goes cold really quickly which resulted in taking little pieces and having to go up numerous times so that your food remained hot - please heat the plates - plus it was buys but some of the areas became a bit messy and they were slow o be cleaned up - some people putting used teabags in with the unused ones so more clear signage is required - but all in all we had a great time - thank you!

This hôtel is high up Stirling, medieval parts, lots of Cobble stones, Bumpy! The hotel room 101 ground floor was perfect with a corner bay window, where my Dog could spy on everyone! Next to a fire door, very useful to empty car, ramp for luggage, handy to take dog walks! Staff all very helpful, Free Disabled Parking, saved £20, but only One blue badge bay! The Leisure Centre excellent, pool of 17m. Clean & warm, the Jacuzzi used 4times was Great, Steam room too! Swimmers friendly, international guests!

Overall very good, a bit expensive but worth its 4Star Ratings! Chose it for its swimming pool, Disabled rooms accessibility! However, Only one Disabled car space, right in front but could do with 2more along the rooms 102-104 parking spaces! On 2nd day Only Disabled space taken, Car park Full, so I ended up parking at an angle, opposite Reception, was OK...? Also, the extra £20/night for a Pet is a bit steep, was given a dog bed, nice double feed bowls, one packet of lovely treats, my MIniature Schnauzer ate all 1st nite! Asked if I could have a 2nd pack, 2nd night, to the Rooms Manager, she said Only One pack per Stay...! Think a treat small bag, worth @£2.99 shld be left in room Daily, as £20 night Well covers it? Fantastic location close to the castle and town centre. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choices. Free ample parking but remember to register your car registration at reception on arrival.

Room was ok a bit dated and tired. Chairs were very worn on the arms. Lots of dust around the feet of the bed I didn't move the bed but I can imagine it needs a good hoover. Window frame where in need of some update and a clean as all windows had thin strips of black dirt between wood and glsss. The bathroom was generally clean but in need of a good refit and a good clean especially around the taps of the bath and bulb out above mirror. . Tv remote didn't work

The room was just the right size. The bathroom was spacious. The hotel was very clean and so too the room. Gym and spa available to guests is really cool, even if we didn’t get to use them in the end. The location is perfect for a city centre/town centre stay. The car park is easily found and easy to register for. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

The very few negative points didn’t affect our stay and were manageable. One of the wardrobe doors were broken and off the track, and the bar shower is hard for tall people to wash their hair without bending over or squatting under the shower head.

Got a great deal half board and a nice hotel that wasn't too overpriced like some are for drinks great central location Nice pool and facilities Nice little card for my mums birthday in the room with mini box of chocs was a nice touch

The new car parking charge of £10 per night come on that's not in when we're residents in the hotel!! Seemed to be an issue with no hot water in the morning in rooms and down at the pool showers too ! Bathroom a little tired and room got quite hot during the night! For me some items on the breakfast choice were lukewarm (beans tomatoes and mushrooms - maybe lids on items might help keep the heat in ?)

Hotel is impressive,the entrance courtyard is in keeping with Stirlings historical background. The reception staff were lovely and friendly and fast check in/out. The facilities are great,the Pool,sauna,steam room and Jacuzzi were all impressive. We had our 1st Valentine stay together and our meal and wine in the evening were great. The room was all that was required and had a nice courtyard view. Buffet breakfast had a really good choice and was hot and tasty. We will definetly be back in the summer when the Scottish weather warms up.thank you

Absolutely nothing

Perfect location, if you're going to a gig at the Tolbooth. Only about ten minutes walk from the station, although the road is fairly steep. Beautiful building, friendly and helpful staff. I stayed in room 300, which had dual aspect windows, and a fabulous view. Comfy bed, nice ensuite with rainfall shower. Two comfy chairs and a table, which was very much appreciated. Tea/coffee (always good). Hairdryer in room (made it easy to dry off my coat, before heading out again in the evening!). The pool was fabulous for a morning swim, (and gorgeously warm), and I had a lovely few minutes in the jacuzzi too, before breakfast. Breakfast was SUPERB! Loads of choice, and all delicious. I was able to leave my bag for a few hours after checking out, which is always massively appreciated! The reception desk is always staffed, so you can collect your bag any time...

The lighting in the bedroom was very low, which wasn't ideal for reading. The bath towels and swimming towels are quite small. Neither point is a major problem. The pool changing room could have been a bit cleaner.

Great hotel maybe. Excellent location. Spa fantastic. Breakfast was very busy. I felt the buffet /cooked food could have done with being replenished quicker.

Booked a Deluxe double, few tired decor issues. We have stayed on numerous occasions however felt the room we got was not much difference in standard to rooms stayed in previously, albeit drinks voucher provided. We went to relax and sit in the bar and told there were no seats vacant. All seats taken by a coach tour. We were told back rooms were closed due to being set for the following days breakfasts. Disappointing given it was Sunday night 930pm.
