This Hotel is great value for money, set inside the beautiful grounds of Stirling University. Free Parking. Great Full Cooked Breakfast or Continental Breakfast options. Very friendly staff. I’d happily stay here again.
It’s not a dislike as such, just a comment that the rooms are quite dated decor /furniture wise & small TV. However, perfectly clean & functional. Note I believe that the Hotel is owned by the university & not a ‘hotel chain’. Any profits made by the hotel after running costs goes to the university. So I appreciate it’s not anything like a city centre boutique hotel.

Staff were excellent, very friendly, and very helpful. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was very good. Grounds are lovely, and it's close to the centre and the wallace monument. Plenty of parking (at the time of my visit anyway). The bar looked nice with nice, comfortable seating, although I didn't actually use it.
It wasn't clear from the booking.com website that the facilities were not on site. The staff at the pool/gym were very nice but it's not a relaxing pool it's a-you're there to swim lengths- pool and if you're not then you're in the way. I don't think the staff would have mentioned the pool if I hadn't asked where it was. One of our rooms, although very large and clean, had the most uncomfortable mattress I've ever slept on and a tiny TV. The other room we had was very nice.

The food and restaurant were fabulous
The bed is the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in and gave me and my wife a sore back hip and shoulder. Also I would return in the future to dine at the hotel but to pay for parking in addition to the meal would put me off. If non residents are not encouraged to dine a potentially lucrative revenue stream is being missed especially given the quality of food on offer. The flaking paint on the bathroom ceiling is also an easily rectified fault but gives a run down impression, not enough for me to ask for another room but I would have expected the room to be out of use until it was painted as this would be no more than 24 hours.

There was a good selection of food for breakfast and the meals we chose from the bar menu were delicious. The room was comfortable and facilities were adequate for our needs during our stay, (although it was a little warm during the night}. The setting was lovely and we were able to take a short walk around the grounds before we met with family for coffee in the bar prior to setting off on our journey home. The bar and restaurant staff were extremely friendly.
The postcode given for sat nav led us to one of the admin buildings for the campus - the administrator was very polite and kindly gave us directions to the hotel but added that this was a common occurrence - perhaps better signage would help.

The location is very accessible and at the same time, very quiet. Recommended to all visiting Stirling. The breakfast is good. The dinner is okay. The room is clean and we liked it very much.
We were not told that the pool is part of the university and when we arrived there, the life guard said if we don't know how to swim she needs to take out us from the pool. Hence, don't expect to have a recreational swim it seems they only want competitibe swimmers. It's a shame that the pool is beautiful and big but the university controls it.

We had an evening meal in the bar restaurant each night of our 2 night stay. Lovely food and friendly waitresses. The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel's location is great for visiting the Wallace Monument and for trips into the centre of Stirling.
We had intended using the swimming pool but it's not actually in the hotel complex. It's the Olympic-sized pool on the university complex and there are set times for recreational and lane swimming for hotel guests that did not fit in with our schedule. There must have been a pet-friendly room on our corridor because on the second morning I was woken up by a dog that yapped for easily half an hour and which then caused me to over-sleep after I finally dropped off again. The owners finally put it in their car where it continued to yap and bark but from further away!.

Restuarant & Breakfast, friendly staff and the choice on menu was better than expected. Location was perfect, very peaceful and excellent for taking a walk around the university campus.
The bedroom was to hot, even with the heater turned off, perhaps looking at an Air conditioning unit being fitted in all rooms. The designated smoking area should be relocated, for non smokers we have to walk right through the middle os the area from the car park to main reception, so I believe this should be re-loacted to one side of the building and distant from the main entrance.

The staff were brilliant, chatty, helpful and smiling. The hotel is in the grounds with the University and there is a loch. The grounds are beautful and peaceful. I drove so had to register my car as so not to get a parking ticket. At first I did think its too far out from the town but there is a bus service which I used a cpl of times. Its great. I did walk from the hotel to the town centre which is about a 50 min walk. To the Wallace monument it's about a 25 min walk to the car park and cafe at the base ( a further 20 min walk up unless you take the free shuttle bus ).. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. I did have one evening meal which was only sweet potato chips with chilli sauce and a side of olives. The chips were great and the portion size was much larger than I expected.
I cant think of anything I didnt like. I did read reviews on TripAdvisor to which some sounded bad but everyone has different expectations and experiences

The location of the hotel. So convenient to family we were visiting in Bridge of Allen. The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. The area surrounding the hotel was very attractive and the view from our bedroom was very pleasant. The parking area was very close to the hotel and we had no problem parking the car. Facilities abd breakfast were excellent.
We had a twin room and unfortunately the mattresses in both beds were a little uncomfortable due to bulging springs. The wet room was a fantastic facility but a shelf for toilet bags, and other toiletries would have made things easier. However the room was very clean and spacious. When we return to stay later this year (probably July or August) we would be very grateful if we could be allocated the same twin room (number 129).

Have used this hotel before. Chose not to have breakfast as we only have tea and cereal bar. The location is very good and it is only a short distance from the Wallace Monument which is worth a visit. It is also only a 5min drive to the town centre and castle. The room is a good size and comfortable.
For a room that is a good size the bed was a quite small. Most good hotels rooms now have a larger king size bed. For some reason the staff keep the double doors into the lounge wide open. This made the lounge cold as every time anyone came into the hotel the the cold air blasted into the lounge.
