Where do I start.. everything was just so wonderful!! At first it was a little hard to find the house because the street leading to Huize Koempoelan is quite easy to overlook and Google maps lead our car in a completely different direction - but as we found the right street we were just amazed to see the house very nicely embedded in nature and surrounded by pretty green trees and meadows. Everything looked way better than expected compared to the shown pictures and we were just blown away! Huize Koempoelan is a place where the hosts planned every tiny detail from beginning to start. You can really see all the love that was put into making this house. The garden is designed in such a nice way with the options to go swimming in a natural pool, sit at a fireplace (or even try out a jacuzzi or sauna if opened) or just watch the sunset from a picture perfect bench on a hill. There were also horses and a super cute dog making the whole atmosphere very idyllic. Just a perfect spot you would search for as a city hide away. The interior of the house is so lovely and the hosts really have a great taste in style. We just loved all the furniture in our room which was very high quality and thought through and everything was just perfectly matching with one another. When we came to our room we got a fresh pressed juice as a welcome drink which was really nice. We felt very welcomed by the hosts who were doing everything they could to make our visit so beautiful. The room we had was very big and had a balcony where we could sit on and the bathroom was also very modern and nicely designed. We also want to highlight the delicious breakfast we got everyday. It was so nicely arranged and the hosts again thought of every little detail here and made it completely vegetarian for us. We definitely can recommend Huize Koempoelan for a romantic getaway for the weekend! Again thank you so much to the wonderful hosts :)

We can’t think of anything that hasn’t met our expectations! The only thing that would be great would be a sign or something leading the direction to the House. Also it would be nice to have a TV in the room. I get that it’s also nice to have a few days without it but at some point when the weather is bad and you stay in the room some diversion would be great ;) But not a must of course!

Our hosts were absolutely lovely. When we arrived we were greeted warmly with a nice drink. Our bed was extremely comfortable, our room was lovely. Breakfast was fantastic and what was nice was that we could bring it into our room and eat leisurely as we looked out our balconey. The surrounding gardens are also lovely to wake up to.

Nothing, highly recommended to stay here.

Fabulous tranquility of this house. The attention to detail was clear to us upon arriving. The facilities on offer made the stay over and above what we expected.

We enjoyed the whole stay, nothing we didn’t like apart from having to go home!

Very nice and comfortable room with superb bed. The location of the property is surrounded by green, is quiet and in the vicinity of villages and cities. The hosts Willemijn and Arthur are very friendly - really fantastic. We were warmly received with a delicious welcome drink. There is a hot tub, sauna and natural swimming pool.

The beauty surrounding it! For nature lovers this is absolutely sublime. If you need a time away from the hussle, looking to find peace within, this is where you do it ! In the middle of nowhere, a beautiful place to stay! Arthur & Willemijn are absolutely sympathic, kind and give you a warm welcome. It’s a wonderful place to stay if you need a rest, to relax and unwind! Breakfast is excellent and served in a very special way. We will definitely book again!

Perfect location in the woods, nice spacious room, very quiet environment, friendly owner. Good breakfast.

One part of the bed was not horizontal, sharing a toilet downstairs.

This was ‘next level’ in perfection. Not only one of the most beautiful surroundings and accommodation, but also the hosts, the beds, the welcome drink and the breakfast. Definitely will be back!

Breakfast was absolutely delicious and great. Fresh juice, eggs prepared how we requested, delicious Holand cheese,...., fruit

just perfect. amazing mansion close to amsterdam, but still amidst nature. lovely walks (forest, heather, water). it’s the dutch version of The Hamptons. lovely hosts. highly recommended.

just be aware that you probably need a car (or come by bike).
