Our family of four recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Rascard for five nights for a skiing holiday. It is a family-run hotel and it was a pleasure dealing with the hotel staff, especially Manuela and Maurizio. The breakfasts were fabulous and we dined every night at the hotel (since we were without a car, it would have been difficult to dine anywhere else, but dinners were just as fabulous as the breakfasts). The beds were extremely comfortable and the facilities were immaculate. My husband and two daughters rented their ski gear from the ski hire shop at the foot of the Salette gondola lift and were able to leave it there every night. They made good use of the free shuttle service that the hotel provides to the gondola lift, leaving at 9am and returning each afternoon to the hotel at around 4pm. As I do not ski, I remained at the hotel, and it is worth mentioning that the hotel is on the outskirts of Valtournenche and the road into the village is very unsafe for pedestrians. All in all it was a lovely stay and I can highly recommend this hotel to other travellers.

An truly unforgettable experience! This hotel in the mountains not only offered breathtaking views but what made it even more special was the incredible hospitality from the family that runs it. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel right at home. Every detail was thoughtfully cared for: from the warmth of their service to the little surprises that made our stay even more memorable. They provided personalized recommendations and truly made us feel like part of their family. The peace of the surroundings, combined with the hospitality of such a special family, made our trip an unforgettable experience. We will definitely return!

Very nice family atmosphere, and very helpful staff. Special thanks to Rudi for helping out when our car broke down. The beds are very good. Also breakfast was excellent with a nice selection, including fresh fruit, and options for eggs. Restaurant had great quality food.

It would be nice with some pictures on the walls in the room, but this is probably as it was just finished from renovation.

the breakfast was excellent, everything fresh and tasy, large choice, and the coffee..real italian coffee:) we had dinner once in the restaurant and it was also good. the staff were very nice and pleasant. the rooms were very clean, we had a great view, well soundproofed. the bed a little small but except that everything was great. ski room, big free parking. nice location, but you have to take the car to the slopes. we had a really pleasant stay and will definitey come back.

Excellent hotel with brilliant staff. Beautiful rooms and a very good restaurant. Easy to get to the lifts in the shuttle offered by the hotel.

Fantastic family run hotel. Beautiful rooms. Our room had two balcony’s and a separate lounge area. Lovely wood effect tiles throughout with a beautiful shower room. The bed was amazing and very comfortable. The breakfast was top quality and so were the staff. All in all we stayed two nights at this lovely peaceful hotel and I wish week could of stayed longer.

This place is run by family and you can see and feel that . And they treat you like family. Beautifully decorated , warm and inviting , amazingly good food .

Amazing dinners! The room is spacious enough with its own balcony and the view of the mountains. Free parking in front of the house is very convenient.

The stuff was very helpful and the hotel rooms were recently renovated. Very good breakfast and a very good restaurant. I shall return!
