Very lovely property, hotel rooms situated just above the pub. Staff were very friendly, allowed to take drinks up to your room. Food from the pub was lovely, they have a nice outdoor garden area as well. Lovely views from the rooms as well. Plenty of parking available.

We booked here as we were going to an event in Manchester and all the rooms there had inflated prices due to the Oasis concerts. We would stay again if we were in the area. The room was comfortable although there is no air conditioning (we stayed on one of the hottest days of the year) there was a fan provided. We ate in the restaurant in the evening - the food was delicious and the staff knowledgeable and helpful regarding gluten intolerance). The team were friendly and welcoming. There were some minor errors with ourselves and others, but they were quickly resolved with the staff working together without blaming each other - it felt like it would be a good place to work!

Unfortunately breakfast service didn't start until 9am on Sunday so we missed out (the staff ,unprompted, gave us details of another local business that would be serving before 9)

Really friendly and helpful staff. I had booked a quiet room, but our room was at the front on to the main road, so it was quite noisy. It was too late to do anything about it though by the time we realised. The room had plenty of space and nicely decorated and was lovely and clean. The bed was comfortable, but a bit wobbly, when we looked, there were brackets screwing the headboard to the base at top and bottom. I felt a dressing table mirror was missing - a small mirror was provided, but it was difficult to do my hair in it. Only other minor issue, -lneeds some sort of shelving in the shower cubicles Breakfast was not included, but we happily paid extra. All arrived in good time, both were fresh, well cooked and really tasty. There is no reason we would not return as overall it is a lovely place. The food, staff and whole experience was good. These comments are only made by way of feedback.

The location being just a little beyond the motorway but a unique stay was very appealing! Excellent staff and dinner. A lovely pub. Room was very spacious. clean and comfy. Staff generously gave us some milk for our son to go to bed

A couple of thoughts. I knew it was a pub but should have appreciated it may have been noisy sleeping above one. It didn’t last long at all as it was midweek but I probably wouldn’t stay on a weekend with my child. You could hear chairs scraping on the floor etc. Also our room was next to the cashing up office🤣 it didn’t last too long but a bit disconcerting trying to fall asleep. I was initially disappointed at no breakfast midweek and didn’t realise this until we got a text that day but we were left some instant porridge and tea which was fine. I would definitely come back but only with my husband !

The room was welcoming, cosy, plenty of facilities. Kettle, hair dryer, plenty of room in wardrobe and cupboards. There was plenty of milk, sugar, coffee and teabags. Three different types of biscuits. Get this, there was instant porridge pots too. We were going out for lunch, so didn't want to spoil it with a large cooked breakfast, so we had the golden syrup porridge, delicious! What a great touch! There's a beautiful modern bathroom, good size, bath and shower, lovely and clean. Towels laid out on each bed. The room we stayed in catered for 4, one double, one single and one put me up. My daughter is 21 and she said it's lovely and comfy. The main room is a good size, we thoroughly enjoyed it.

What a fantastic find and such a warm and welcoming stay. The staff were fantastic and nothing was too much effort for them. Excellent to see vegan items and it all being home cooked and not processed. The chef was also more than willing to add/mix items. If ever I have a need to stay in Charnock Richards again the Hind Head would be my first choice. Having my dog stay for the first night was no issue and when he needed to stay longer at vets following an operation, they extended my stay.

Just a suggestion to provide an extension plug lead by the desk (I stayed in The Grey)

Booked a double room but was given a family room, which gave a lot of space. Tea coffee facilities were great. The bed was decent but had comfier. The bathroom was nicely decorated and clean. Loved the downstairs bar.

The heating times seemed to come on and off when it wasn't convenient. Would have been nice if heating was on continuous, and we could adjust the radiator settings accordingly to suit us. The bathroom had a constant sewer smell, probably the drains, but it wasn't a problem. The late night door up the fire exit is strange, especially if slippy. Also, you get a fob on your bedroom key to open the door to the corridor to your room. Un be known to us it had fallen off during the day and fell on the floor under the bed so we were unable to gain access so we had to ring the emergency contact number which on the second time was given a key code. So be warned to check before leaving. This hasn't put us off and will definitely return.

Stayed in the family room for one night with our daughter and 3 small dogs. The room was super large, comfortable and immaculately clean, as was the bathroom with free toiletries! We found the hotel friendly, relaxed, with comfy beds. There was clearly loads of effort put in to make sure there was everything we could need in our room! Tea, coffee, porridge, biscuits, plenty milk, sugar etc., not stingy in the least!

We was booked in the restaurant as well as staying at the hotel as we arrived the staff was really warm and friendly and went to check the room was ready for us which it was and we was shown to the room which was very spacious. The room was extremely clean and pleasant as breakfast wasn't served in the restaurant in the morning we was provided with porridge tubs with a kettle and tea and coffee. The bathroom was immaculately clean with fresh clean towels and soaps provided. Extremely good value for money definitely will be going back

Me and my friend stayed here as we was going to a venue nearby and needed somewhere to stay over night , we didn’t expect it to be anything special but it was a really nice place . It was cosy , warm , beds were comfy , rooms and bathroom modern , to then be able to go downstairs and enjoy a good selection of lagers on tap then sit outside with a nice view was a bonus , the pub itself was also a cosy environment , parking wasn’t a problem for us either . Don’t hesitate to book , fantastic place .
