THe room was spacious and comfortably furnished. It was pleasantly cool and I slept very well each night. There was ample desk space and plenty of storage. Lots of electrical sockets and USB ports. The bathroom was immaculate with an efficient shower. Good to have a window you could open. A word of commendation to Housekeeping: my room was restored to first day condition every succeeding day. All the staff were friendly and solicitous. The breakfasts were excellent in the very genteel setting of the restaurant.

It would have been good to have a safe, although to be fair, reception were happy to safeguard valuavbles when I went out.

Charming old property; something different. Friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of parking. Large room. Comfy bed. We had dinner, which was good value and very tasty and filling. Breakfast was included, but we didn't get up early enough. We were given late checkout FoC. Dog friendly.

Nothing, really. Some bits and bobs could do with an update but in other ways that was part of the charm. The room was on the warm side and as there's no air con a plug-in fan would have been handy. A point of note: we arrived from the north and the sat nav took us a right turn on to Centurion Way and to a gate at the rear of the building. That gate was padlocked. The proper entrance is further down Stanifield Lane on the right (there's a large sign).

We had a room with a wet room, which was good for me as I have mobility issues. The bonus was that it was also dog friendly. It was also good for us as it was just off the M6, and it has plenty of grounds to walk a dog where dog bins are provided. Also, if you need to take a longer walk with your dog, there's a nice park next door

It wasn't an issue as such, but we are not fans of buffet breakfast, which we had to have on the Sunday, apparently due to a wedding !!!! However, the breakfast we were served on Saturday was very good 👍

We don’t usually write reviews, but just had to for Farington Lodge - they deserve it! We weren’t expecting too much from our stay as it was a very reasonable price. We just wanted a base for a wedding we were attending in Leyland. We were blown away! Thank you to the wonderful, professional staff team who made our stay an absolute joy. The location, parking and breakfast was all superb. You couldn’t want more.

The huge executive room(2) was very cold and unprepared when we arrived. Only 1 set of towels but quickly rectified. I did mention at reception before departure, that even the cheapest Airbnb provides 2 glasses and a bottle of water in the room, but we had to ask for a glass, and luckily provided our own water.

From reception to bar and waiting staff everyone was welcoming and friendly. I travelled with my Guide Dog and the staff were brilliant with him, really dog friendly. The surroundings are cosy and comfortable. My room was lovely, the bathroom was massive (I've stayed in smaller rooms in big brand hotels), a separate bath, and shower, the room was clean and had everything you needed. We ate in the bar and our meals were excellent, steaks were cooked perfectly and were very tasty, a good selection at the bar so there was no need to go anywhere at night. Breakfast was excellent with plenty to choose from. If I was ever in the area, this hotel would be my first choice and I'd definitely recommend to others.

The lodge was very conveniently located just off the M6. The room,executive double, was more than big enough with good storage and a lovely bathroom. The bar area was great and had a decent choice of drinks. Even though the hotel had a wedding on, they accommodated our small group in a quiet room for dinner and it was excellent. What made the whole stay was the staff. They were friendly and efficient, nothing was too much trouble. It was really nice to see a predominately young staff who appeared to enjoy their work and this came across in the experience we had.

The hotel provided exactly what I required and to an exceptional standard. The staff were very attentive and accommodating and even the breakfast was served in a timely manner with a smile. The hotel surroundings creates a relaxing atmosphere and the internal décor was just right (very nice bar and restaurant).

There was nothing I didn't like. The only slight negative was the lack of a spa which would have been the icing on the cake.

We loved our stay. The staff are lovely, very friendly and welcoming. The building, styling, decor and quality of furnishings/fittings/cornicing etc are beautiful. The breakfasts and the breakfast room were fabulous. We also attended a wedding during our stay and it was amazing. The staff were outstanding at all times and as a wedding venue it absolutely shone. Will definitely stay again.

Thank you to the team for welcoming me and Jett so well. The home cooked food and personality of the staff make this hotel a great place to stay. I loved being welcomed at the door and shown to my room, heating on for out arrival with dog bed, bowl and treats to settle us in. Thank you for enabling and welcoming Jett at breakfast, with a plate of sausages just for him and a real heartfelt awareness of how much this means to owners. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, tidy and clean. A real home from home. We will be staying again

The hotel are modernising, but smart TV's could be installed to bring you up to 2024... But that's being picky!
