A pleasant place to stay in Preston. The rooms are of a good standard, well decorated and maintained. There was a problem with my check-in (I was an hour or so early and had requested early check-in if available and a call to advise me if not - the call didn't happen), but it was quickly addressed with a call to the remote team and I was let in early, for which I was grateful.

The 'hotel' is not visibly manned, but shares an entrance with (an outstanding) restaurant which, slightly annoyingly to the guest, gives the impression that it really ought to be.

Over the past six months, I've been staying at Winckley Stays, and I must say it's one of the best accommodations I've stayed in the UK. The value for money really is unmatched, as well as the customer service. The attention to detail is amazing. Other places give you the bare minimum and try to squeeze your wallet with extra fees for 'cleaning' or a deposit . More than once, I've been upgraded to better rooms at no extra cost. However, every single room I've been has given me everything I need so my stay is pleasant. Thank you for actually caring for your customers and always being so friendly and professional.

Everything was perfect

We arrived after going the wrong way ( sat navs fault) and were pleased to see a free parking space . Luckily a nice lady was also staying and guided us through the building etc it wasn't to hard, but I'm not good at directions. We were staying in the lodge room . We opened the door and wow the apartment was very big . I did take a video but thought it best being a surprise, so I decided not to upload it. The apartment is beautiful . It has two very large bedrooms with en suites and the bed very large and comfortable. A nice little kitchenette and a sitting area with a sofa . Tvs in every room and also another separate toilet near to seating area. It's like home from home fact it would actually make a nice permanent apartment. My husband was very impressed and even more when he realised the price i paid ( when you pay cheap you don't expect anything it's just a place to place your head but this is exceptional and worth every penny ) . They have thought of everything, including a little treat jar full of sweets 😋 Thank you for the best night's sleep, and this is only our first night . ( staying two ) just what we need before facing a day of stress . A fairly quite area and you forget your not far from city centre.

Only one problem but I think that's due to being an old building is the slight smell of damp not a problem with windows open . And one of the bulbs is flickering which we turned off ( bulb on its way out i think ) other than them small issues nothing to dislike .

The accommodation was required in a hurry due to storm causing train cancellation. It was ideal in a difficult situation…. no muss, no fuss!

First time using the self entry system, but that not the property itself, it was just hard to suss about using your hand to reveal the number pad. Not a downside, just a learning moment ☺️

We got a room upgrade and it was really special. I was so made up. The room was large. The bed huge and we even had a separate kitchen which was immaculate. Aswell as a large bath tub in the bedroom. (Shower was in the bathroom) The mattress on the bed is soooo comfy. We fell asleep really easily. Which is unusual me in a new setting. Normally takes me ages. But that bed was amazing. Loved it. The location was fabulous too. There's a massive country park at the bottom of the road. We're going back in May. Can't wait. Beautiful apartments.

We struggled to get the door keypad to work at first. But then we realised what OUR mistake was. Once u know how its actually really easy. Tip of the day-place ur fingers across the keypad 'Sideways' to activate the number screen where u type ur code. Not upwards like we did at 1st.

We got a room upgrade to The Lodge. Which is a 2 bed apartment with 3 bathrooms. It certainly had the WOW Factor. I'm coming back in July and have booked the same apartment. I can't wait. The apartment is huge. Perfect for couples, families, and friends. The beds are sooo comfy. There's a well equipped kitchen area and a lounge and like all apartments they leave u biscuits and a jar of sweets. Its such a nice touch. Like the other Wincley apartment I stayed in, this Apartment is stunning. Everything says quality and luxury. Love this place.

The kitchen is very well equipped with a fridge. But the mugs are miniature. Could do with replacing with normal sizes ones for tea lovers.

We were upgraded for free from a one bed apt to a 2 bed ensuite with extra 3rd loo and kitchenette with small lounge. Very nicely done out and absolutely massed of space in apartment.

Getting tatty in places, peeling or ripped wallpaper and hair straightener marks on carpets. East Cliff Car park suggested to use not used as two cars had been broken into over night, police were aware but nothing they could do according to one lady who had had car broken in to. Parking spaces at the apartments not easily labelled so ended up parking in a multi story carpark further away. Had to walk through another unrelated business (restaurant) in the same building to get to apartment.

Everything. Great position, 5 minutes walk to the main high street in Preston where all the shops, bars and restaurants are located, just walk through the gardens opposite. Loved the teas, coffee's, sweet jar, shampoo etc. Tiny bar downstairs was very cute but if you like Baileys, you'll have take your own 😅 The bar is run separately to the hotel. The best bit was the price of our 'Mayfair' room, we would definitely return to these apartments again. Please note that we climbed up steep stairs and didn't see a lift, so maybe check that out before you make your journey if you need one.

Absolutely nothing, it was perfect!

Concise instructions for entering the property and easy means of returning key at end of stay. Property was very quiet for the two nights we were there and that was unexpected and pleasant.

Staff was almost nonexistent. Electronic communications were available, but I had expected someone to be there. Also, I did not know that Preston (at least this area of Preston) was rather depressed. There were many vagrants out, and the area was nearly deserted as we walked to dinner each night. We did have a fan but other than that it was stuffy in the apt.
