We had a wedding to attend at Meols Hall so the property was within 10 minutes walk of the venue. The room was well decorated and comfortable with an iron and hairdryer provided. Lovely good quality towels and toiletries provided. Within a short walking distance of lovely restaurants, pubs and cafes. Consider booking in advance for these though as they get busy especially at weekends

There was live music on the night we arrived which didn’t end until midnight. There is no soundproofing so it was like the music was in our room. We had come off a long haul flight the night before so was still awake anyway, so not too big an issue for us. We were at a wedding until after midnight the following night so not sure if this was the same on Saturday.

Initial opinion, limited parking and no clear signs where to check in. Lucy was very friendly, however there was confusion over billing and we were charged even though had already paid booking.com. This seems to have been booking.com’s error though. Room is amazing, sadly a few hand bangs on the sloping ceiling one side of the bed during the night whilst making toilet trips.

Sloping ceiling. It’s a feature, but a smaller bed (as bed is huge) would increase space and reduce risk of head bangs. Wood floor in bathroom is also slippy when walking around. Needed to walk and move bath mat with you to prevent slips. No hand soap dish near sink.

unique room, the bathtubs filled nicely and the bed was comfortable. mini fridge was on and had water and glasses inside. bathtubs facing tv was nice. the entrance to the rooms is around the back of the building which is good as feels more private and no curfew. some local shops and not too far away from the town centre. advised we received a complementary late checkout (11am) but from other reviewers i think this is just something they say but not necessarily a bad thing. couldn’t hear anything from the pub even with the live band on so a quiet room

to check in you go into the pub and when we arrived there was a live band on and it’s quite small. i struggled to hear the lady and there was trouble with our payment (showed as not paid) if you arrive later on be prepared for drunk people not letting you ‘cut the queue to the bar’ when you’re just trying to check in. it’s a loft room so lots of stairs that get quite steep. not all the windows have blinds so not very dark up there. the wifi didn’t work on both tvs.

Great location, we were at a wedding at Meols Hall so only 5 mins walk away. The baths were lush, plus the lovely luxury spa stuff to go in the bath. It was gorgeous. The lady cleaner was really helpful and so friendly. Would Deffo stay again. Bit pricey but worth it for a treat.

The only embarrassing thing was the booking.com stated breakfast between 9am and 1pm. We went down and were told to go to a little cafe a few doors down. We went with no money!!.... After a back and forth we were told booking.cim had got it wrong and they don't do breakfasts, so had to go and get our money 😏.

No Brekkie but the room and everything in it was spot on. Private free parking too. Very clean and fresh. Not exactly what you expect from what appears to be a privately run guest house. Many of them are a bit tired and not always spotlessly clean.

The sheltered and secluded side entrance to the upstairs rooms had attracted a pair of young people who had 'installed themselves' on the step, and who had to move to allow my access to the door. They didn't cause any trouble but I'd rather they weren't there.

Staff where so lovely! Room was clean and beautifully presented decor. Bar down stairs made the best fresh cocktails!! Food also was delicious, very good portions. It was a few minutes walk to the wedding venue we attended which was perfect. Some local shops which was also very handy.

Shower did not have much power behind it, had to turn around a lot to get wet. It is not recommended for those with mobility issues as steep set of stairs to access the rooms.

It was really cosy and stylish. It had good facilities, a kettle, hair dryer, iron etc. I had a good nights sleep and felt really at home there. There is a separate entrance so no need to go through the bar to get to the accommodation. Was really well located with a Co-op and a pizza place across the road. 7mins to Southport by car. Staff were lovely and the room was topped up with coffee and biscoff each day and the bins emptied every day.

Friday night was a little loud up until midnight but seems that it’s just a really good pub so that’s to be expected. Food service at the pub stopped at 6pm which was a bit early for me with work but I was able to get food to eat in the room from the local shops and amenities.

Large rooms, comfortable beds,good bathrooms.Tea and coffee facilities.Friendly staff. Accommodation separate from pub. Spar and co-op across road also subway and pizza place. Five mins down the road very nice pubs and restaurants ( luckily as ours had no food) Unfortunately there was no food as chef hadn't come in.

Building work next door but not fault of accommodation. You can hear pub noise in rooms, but music finished early enough. Must be underfloor heating as no control. It's a good 30/40mins walk into city center, about £6/7 for taxi. Presume should be buses near to city.

Very good size ,comfortable huge bed ,clean nice and quiet and private ,free parking, Food in pub downstairs was nice and reasonably priced

TV played up ,and as we were in roof space the rafters were very low which we kept banging our heads on sort of funny at first but as no protection it hurt and it got a bit to warm but its better than too cold . All this was not bad just a niggling annoyance not enough to spoil in fact we will be rebooking soon

Staff were lovely (Charlotte and Hannah), rooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable, food was great. We booked a budget double, the penthouse and a superior double. Couldn't fault any of them. The downstairs bar had a nice atmosphere and we were entitled to 10% off. I made a few changes to the booking and Charlotte couldn't have been more helpful. We'll definitely stay there again.
