The staff were very friendly. Bed was very comfortable, nice hot shower and good black out curtains.

Car parking was expensive at £15 a night so managed to park on the road further away. I appreciate that it was free if booked directly but would still worked out more expensive. Lots of condensation on the windowsill in the morning. I also forgot my shampoo/conditioner of which there wasn’t any in the bathroom containers.

If you are looking for just a short stay or even longer break The Waterfront hotel is very clean and spacious set out on several levels with twin lift service to all floors, (Please Note, keep your key card in your pocket as this is also your security lift pass key) As a disabled traveller i found no problems getting around in the hotel it is very spacious throughout the hotel, the lounges, restaurant and bar areas including the restrooms are all easy to access, Even by Speed-demons in wheelchairs if necessary Lol Its great to see a hotel that has really made the effort to cater for its disabled guests WELL DONE Waterfront +++++ I also think your dog friendly policy is lovely, not only for the owners but also the other guests who had great pleasure in petting the other dogs (I think the odd mince pie did help) The staff were great and really made us feel welcome right from the start of our stay, Whether it was, from ordering taxis to regularly topping up my tea, milk & sugar supplies late at night, The staff were always at hand to help My Brother and myself had booked from 23rd-27th December for the Christmas holiday complete with Christmas dinner (which was exceptional) Our room was a twin bed with full temp control heating (Plenty of Hot Water!) Full tea/coffee making facility (and if you do run short the reception staff are only too pleased to let you have more) Full choice of Breakfast served from 8am-11am Good choice of bar foods, snacks, pizza etc served in bar lounge Choice of full evening dinners also available (booking may be advisable) The Lounge and bar area was very comfortable with ample seating and easy access to restroom areas and lifts Our 3 course Christmas dinner was served beautifully laid out on tables overlooking the water with amazing views across the wildfowl nature reserve. All in all, our stay has been fantastic and I will stay at the Waterfront again in the near future.

Breakfast. It has improved. Could provide a better choice for cooked items. Also, you have to get your own tea and coffee. Not a problem, but it would be really nice if this was brought to the table freshly made. Negates the need to try and get a coffee cup, jug, milk jug etc to your table. Plus, it provides the opportunity for staff to interface with clients - just a nice touch. Car parking. £15 / night. Car is safe and convenient, but this is expensive. Stayed 4 nights. Soon mounts up. Perhaps do an offer for longer stays?

Good choice of breakfast. I am vegan and there was a variety of non dairy milk available as well as some cereal, fruit and toast. Great location, lovely bar area and outside terrace. Clean and spacious room. Comfortable bed and great shower.

The window in our room was broken. No option of non dairy milk in the room to use with the tea/coffee. Hotel parking is expensive. We parked on the car park next to the hotel for less than half the price.

Great staff - very friendful and helpful. They couldn't do enough to make feel welcome with our labrador. Receptionists, bar staff, cleaning services staff all excellent.

The only problem we had was that although they are dog friendly, I only found out the day before our trip that the specific room we booked was not for dog people so had change room from superior to twin double. Actually, was no problem for us in the end and the room we got was great anyway. Booking.com need to allow hotels to add this detail in so can know in advance although an earlier email with the details on would be helpful. Either way, we will book directly next time. Thanks

Group of 4 mature ladies shared a 2 double bedroom. Requested a lake view ( last minute) and they gave us a lake view! Reception error on booking in which was quickly rectified and then waived car park fee as a gesture ( very unexpected and impressive). Fabulous relax in the sun on the bar/ restaurant terrace ( felt like we were on the Med). Room was big enough and the iron/ ironing board was an added bonus ( hairdryer too) Large double beds, fresh and crisp sheets ensured we all had a very comfortable sleep! Breakfast was good choice- good produce and value for money although we felt that there were staffing issues impacting on our dining experience. ( Wait for self service food refills - missing cutlery) waitresses run off their feet! We would definitely recommend this hotel and will return again.

Hotel was fabulous, breakfast chaotic, first day no plates, cups,knives, and forks. No butter on toast station, tables not cleared quickly. £26 should have done better. Didn't bother 2nd day, however booked a third night and breakfast was included. This time no cups, told larger mugs all dirty. No bacon, told a member of staff who advised me to start what I'd got and she'd let me know, I had almost finished what I had got before bacon came I saw it come out, she didn't come over but hey ho. On the whole enjoyed but breakfast big let down. Also parking should be included who ever you book with.

Nice modern room, in a great location. Car park a bit hard as their are no signs, my husband went in to find but and we found it quite easily then. The room was modern and clean with everything we needed. Didn’t have a great nights sleep as the bed and pillows were a bit uncomfortable. Restaurant and bar areas nice just a bit lacking in atmosphere, I think it would benefit from some better tunes instead of jazz music.

Location was central and it was dog friendly- even in the restaurant. Rooms a little tired but clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Dog friendly room contained doggie bed and food and water bowls. Breakfast good.

£30 per night is excessive for hotel parking - even higher than London prices ! Fortunately, pay and display nearby at only £5 per 24 hours. Restaurant menu on website is quite extensive with multiple choices. However, that menu no longer exists and there is only a set menu of 4 mains - one of which is vegetarian. As the burgers, which are a staple of most menus, were sold out by 7.00pm and we are not vegetarian, we had two dishes to choose from - not what you would expect on Saturday evening. Also, very short staffed with only two people operating the bar and restaurant.

After a terrible experience with our christmas dinner (xmas 2024) we where offered a free 3 course meal with wine, so we decided to stay over because we were more than happy with the hotel, just our christmas dinner completley ruined our experience. But this time our dining experience was absolutely lovely, no complaints at all, apart from the reception lady who checked us in at 4pm on the 15th February, she was quite rude because I am hard of hearing and kept having to repeat herself to me, she couldn't hide that I was annoying her! But it didn't spoil our stay, we thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be back soon
