Staff were very friendly and attentive. Room was spacious for our short stay. Linen and bathroom towels were spotless. The valet parking appears to have been secure (!) and we had no problems getting the car back when we needed without waiting too much. This is a "boutique" hotel and so prices are probably a bit higher. Having said that, with discounted restaurant bills, the charge for 3 nights for two people seemed resonable as a treat. The provision of shampoos etc were really handy on this occasion. The breakfast was great and comprehensive. Worthwhile noting for a late one that although breakfast is until 12, the inclusive buffet part stops at 10:30AM.

As noted above, this is a boutique hotel and so we found some of the bathroom arrangements perplexing - a washbasin mixer tap with a "joystick" control and a short deep ( "soaking"?) bath which you have to step up into. Not doubt if you want to sip champagne in a bubble filled bath it will conserve water, but when used as a shower its two level base is potentially hazardous. I dont think of myself as having mobility problems, but the wall mounted grab handle came in very handy.

All the staff were very attentive and helpful; nothing was too much trouble.

The design has favoured style over practicality (and there is nothing the staff can do about that). So for example, because there is no overflow on the basin, it doesn't allow you to seal the plughole; if you wash your face with water or "wet shave" then it means running the tap continuously which is both awkward and environmentally unfriendly. It is also very dark so we genuinely could not see whether you should inset the keycard or hold it against the door (it's the second one); in the room the light was not good enough for reading unless you have a backlit ereader.

We’ve not long returned from a wonderful stay at The Vincent Hotel in Southport – and what a treat it was! From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. As countless recent guests have noted, “staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful,” and we couldn’t agree more . Most memorably, we were surprised with an unexpected upgrade to a beautiful suite – a detail many fellow travellers praised for its “huge, comfortable” space and balcony . A heartfelt thanks to the lady on Reception for arranging this – it made our trip even more special, turning a simple visit to see our son into a truly memorable family experience. Our suite exceeded every expectation: modern décor, plush furnishings, and that little balcony made morning coffees extra delightful. The bed was exceptionally comfy, and the powerful shower/bath combo was a real luxury – just as so many guests have celebrated . Breakfast in The V Café was excellent – a generous spread that set us up perfectly for the day, echoing other reviews that called it “plentiful and delicious” . The central location on Lord Street was also a real plus; we could easily stroll to local sights and cafés, just as others have enjoyed . In short, The Vincent felt like a boutique haven with top-notch service, stylish surroundings, and that suite upgrade was the icing on the cake. We’ll certainly be booking this gem again next time we’re back in Southport – highly recommended!

I would love a mirror above the desk to do my makeup the long mirror on the wall is great and the mirror in the bathroom does not have enough space around the basin to place makeup items. The lighting is also very dim.. could do with a dimmer switch to be able to select brightness or otherwise etc.. Unfortunately there was a bad smell of drains in the bar.. reduced staff.. so one night bar closed. Having said this.. this is our third stay and as we come to visit family .. we will probably stay again.

Breakfast was great quality products however no earl grey tea available during our stay there is a shop some 200yds away.

On a bad day weather wise there is little seating area during the day bar area and terrace bar area closed. Bedroom there were crisps on the carpet we did not eat in the room.Our visit was booked in advance we asked for a room overlooking Lord Street and was told not available as you were very busy spoke to another guest who arrived on the Saturday on spec who was allocated a free upgrade.

Myself and my husband had a two night stay at the Vincent and was pleasantly surprised on how lovely it was, the room was very modern, clean and spacious with a huge comfortable bed, bedding and towels were lovely and clean, bathroom was a great size with a powerful shower. We had breakfast included which was very nice with a good selection, the cooked breakfast is buffet style but with a choice of freshly cooked eggs. Hotel is in a great location for shops, bars and restaurants and just a couple of minutes walk to the beach. We stay in Southport quite often but have never stayed in this hotel before, we chose it for the location and so glad we did, we will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it.

Although the shower was hot and powerful it was a bit scary getting into as it was over the bath which was quite deep and you have to step up onto a step then step into the bath to then have a shower, I do have a slight mobility problem so I did find this fairly difficult, others may not find this to be a problem. I also found the Pillows to be fairly uncomfortable, they seemed cheap, small, over padded and fairly hard which was a big let down as the bed was so large and comfortable, very surprising given the high standard of the hotel.

Staff very pleasant and helpful - I had an issue with the TV in my room and within 5 minutes, a member of staff came up and sorted it out really quickly. Good central location, have stayed here a number of times

Nothing really, only comment is that I felt that the food at breakfast was not the quality that you would expect from a hotel like this. I had muesli, granola, Greek yoghurt and fruit. Granola was cheap and not much taste, I think the fruit, which was in a large bowl on the serving bar, was in liquid, tasted and looked like it was from a tin. Pastries weren't fresh, a bit dried out.....Staff at breakfast were very pleasant and helpful - just a shame the breakfast didn't match up to the staff!

Right in the centre of the main street , it has a real cafe culture and is a fun place to be. The hotel staff were so friendly and welcoming . The room was spacious with a huge bed and full height window overlooking the street. Soundproofing and blackout facilities meant we had an amazing sleep despite lots of nearby partying happening . There is a wonderful cocktail bar all dark and comfy inside , a great place to kick-start a mini break! Breakfast was lovely, perfectly poached eggs. We will definitely recommend this place and be back soon. We parked in the NPC as we were only there for 24 hours, the hotel offers valet parking for longer stays.

The hotel was more than expected for the price... great value for bed and breakfast. Staff were lovely, all very smiley and friendly. The hotel is very clean. We had a dinner there before we ventured out and it was delicious. Bit shocked they charged us £6 when my husband asked for a slice of bread with his fish and chips but hey ho!! Our room was spacious and very clean. Fridge with the sachets of milk and bottled water. Espresso machine and kettle. Lovely bathroom. I live in liverpool, not far from southport. I feel for the hotels trying to make a living. Southport has gone right down the pan. Empty shops everywhere and the lack of investment apparent. If you're looking for a little night away, though, this hotel is fab. I'd take a travelling bar, get your tea here and enjoy a relaxing night or try the atkinson just up the road for a show. I would come back to the hotel next time we come to the Atkinson. Always nice to have a night away and forgot to mention that the breakfast here was gorgeous, full English, smoothies, overnight oats, flapjacks etc. I'd stay here just for that!!

The staff, particularly on reception, were very welcoming and friendly and allowed us to take the bikes up to our room before we started the Trans Pennine Trail. The room was spacious, stylish and comfortable and the fridge useful. The buffet breakfast was good with plenty of choice and evening meal was good - don't bother going out!

Southport as a town is sadly run down and a bit disappointing to walk around. The bar was a bit dark and uninviting, had a touch of the gentleman's club about it. The view from the rear bedroom was over some disused buildings
