The hotel looks to have been recently refurbished so the rooms were spotless. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was powerful. The pub part of Hotel was also first class and it was delightful to eat the splendid breakfast in such a welcoming airy space. The receptionists at the Hotel were also very welcoming and knowledgeable.

We were at the front of the hotel and Lord Street is very busy all the time, consequently as there is no Double Glazing the room was a little noisy overnight . We were ok with that as we know Southport and picked this Hotel. Bu if traffic noise bugs you it would not be a great stay. Also the room got very hot and I would imagine that the recent heat wave would have made the room unbearable. There was a fan in the room but in use it sounded like a jet taking off.

Lovely place but our room was above the kitchen so we could here a very noisy extractor fan just outside the window which was on as long as the kitchen was in operation. It then came back on again at 7:00 AM ! We had to close the window and the room became very hot. We had the fan on all night. No toilet roll in the bathroom. Really nice hotel, spoilt by that noise. This can't be the first time a guest has made the same comments.

Good location, breakfast is an absolute MUST! The rooms are nicely decorated & gorgeous bar area we stay often but usually at Lord Street Hotel and the rooms are very similar we do love coming to Southport and will always use this hotel chain. If you go I would urge you to try The Grand across the road it's beautiful and the food and service is outstanding. The teams that keep these establishments running work tirelessly and are always very friendly always doing a fantastic job!

Tv remote was missing one was found very quickly but this didn't work very well think batteries had been on the way out, bathroom floor had prints on and found rose petals in the room obviously from previous guests, rooms not quote ready at 3.30pm piles of towels all over hallways bit of a trip hazard but none of this is the basis of a complaint it is what it is and didn't affect our stay just little notes

Everything..hotel and bar lovely.The bar staff thru the day very very good,(didn't use bar on an evening).Very friendly.Receptionists when checking in very nice,explained everything clear.Had a snack in the bar..food very nice and very fresh.Breakfast was a buffet, everything you could want.The sausage I must say were exceptional. Prices very reasonable. The hotel room very boutique,spotlessly clean,large bathroom with bath and drencher shower,towels very soft and big.Tv was a good size,not that we watched much.Nice big fan and the sash windows opened easily.The heating was on making the room cosy,but we turned it off ad it was too hot.There is an iron and a plug in heater.They more o less thought of everything.

I didn't like the 39 steps up to our room(no lift) but,hey needed the exercise so that was a plus.Could do with a grab rail nr the bath to get in and out.

Everything.just everything. I absolutely love the bold hotel anyway. The food is outstanding, staff are absolutely fabulous and on a personal level I really love southport. I went somewhere different for years of my life but that chapter came to an end and if I'm honest I feel like I've fell on my feet with southport. I'll be back to southport in the next few weeks, infact because I only live six or seven stops away I'm considering doing day/night trips aswell and getting the last train back aswell as booking hotels. When I'm next back I will definitely shoot for the carvery, it was mouthwatering.

Absolutely nothing

The rooms are clean, comfortable and tastefully furnished. The deluxe rooms have sky tv. The cozy doubles are also lovely and well furnished. The staff were friendly and helpful and the bar area is warm and cozy with delicious smells from the carvery. It’s handy that it has a car park at the back and we did manage to get a space. Have recommended this hotel to friends.

There was nothing I didn’t like about the property. The only gripe I have is that I was inundated with emails before our stay regarding upgrading, online check in etc. The information given was excellent but just a little excessive. The online check in kept saying error so in the end I gave up.

The rooms were modern and comfortable and it was nice to be able to sit out in the evenings for a drink with music.

Very slow service, limited food, dry pastries with very little choice. The cooked menu was cold and the toast was not toast - it was griddled bread which was cold and stodgy. The coffee and tea were from a machine and not very nice. We also felt the hotel would benefit from a lift. We also thought it was terrible to charge for disabled parking when it is free in all parts of Southport.

Gorgeous hotel, fantastic staff - from the bar staff, breakfast staff (Tommy was just lovely and very helpful, breakfast was delicious) to the Sunday carvery ladies - the restaurant carvery manager was just so friendly and made us feel really welcome. We booked out with ease, had a walk along the beach and came back for the delightful Sunday lunch - big wow! The meat melted in your mouth and I had all of my 5aday in the vegetable choice - one not to miss! Room was lovely too, nicely decorated and super clean.

Our room (10) was above the function room - we had upgraded and can’t fault the room but there was a wedding party on the Fri eve and the music went on until 1am which wasn’t so good. Thankfully only one night of late, very very loud music so bearable but not great. The Saturday music stopped at 11 which we found perfectly acceptable. The bathroom is fabulous but the shower was very weak, maybe one to check out?

Everything at the hotel was perfect . All the staff were excellent. Helpful , cheery and friendly. The hotel was very clean very well run and a great ambience . The breakfast was superb Room was very stylish, clean and very comfortable bed. Great shower and a special suprise as the staff discovered it was my birthday and left a decorated complimentary delicious chocolate cake in the room .Highly recommend this hotel and will.definitely return in the future. All 10"s . Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Leaving ! Absolutely no complaints whatsoever only high praise

The Bold is excellently located and has a superb bar downstairs. The room in which we stayed was incredibly spacious, with modern decor and thoroughly clean. Room 14 was quiet and away from any noise. The staff, especially Amy, were incredibly professional and polite. Thank you.

The toilet was located in an awkward position relative to the shower. This couldn’t really be helped due to the shape of the bathroom. There was the odd bit of wear and tear - but nothing of significant concern.
