Staff went above and beyond. They have been amazing accommodating everything we wanted. We have had a lovely stay and the room itself was so comfortable.

The breakfast over the road in The Bold was a shambles. We waited 40 minutes for coffee and I had half my food missing. They said they were bringing the missing food and some brown sauce and it never came to us. However, this was not our hotel directly. I would just say, go somewhere else for breakfast.

We didn’t have breakfast over the road because it was 12.95 but we didn’t get a menu and didn’t know what it included for that money. Would be a good idea to have a breakfast menu printed so a person knows what they are getting. We did look at their breakfast menu and it looked excellent but would have chosen Eggs Benedict more than a traditional breakfast. We did go to Lords cafe where I paid £8.50 for Starter breakfast which included a small orange juice and went for a coffee a little later.

Didn’t know what went on at the Grand next door and couldn’t understand why there were doors in reception to it. Carpets upstairs need a clean or renew. 3 coffee cups for 3 people.

The room was beautiful and modern. The hotel itself was lovely

Our view was a bit obscure with another flat which directly looked into our room. I think blinds would be more suitable as we had to keep closing the curtains which then made the room too dark. Also don't leave the window open if a night it's so so noisy. Outside the hotel you do tend to get the homeless/alcoholics hanging around and drinking early in the morning when you're going for breakfast at the Bold pub across the road. Which is also gorgeous too and the breakfast is lovely

stayed at this hotel many times,always a fabulous stay.Luxury all the way.1st class service from all the team,Cila on resption and of course the wonderful Claudia.I must also mention the bar staff in Chloe bar,a lot of new colleagues this visit wonderful young ladies ,Katie being one and sorry forgot the name of one who wore black glasses.This was there 1st job and were only 16.I was very impressed of there excellent customer service they gave us two sisters in our 60s.Chatting and listening to our storys ,so very attentive and charming.A credit to themselves and The Lord Street .Restaurant staff amazing to.Love this hotel if you haven't been pay a visit tou will not be disappointed.

Location, room, pretty view over Lord Street at night with the fairy lights on the trees and staff at the hotel. Hotel staff go above and beyond to welcome you. Rooms are beautiful and clean. We love staying here and visit at least once a month, it’s a home from home for me, my family and friends ❤️

Had an issue with a member of staff in the pub attached to the hotel. She was very rude, walked off and expected me to flash my card at the payment machine without giving me the balance. It was extremely rude, a colleague completed the transaction with me, she made matters worse by shouting across the bar that she had told me the amount and that I didn’t hear her. The live music hadn’t started yet and there was only my niece and I at the bar . . . Normally when paying for a purchase they say thank you that’s gone through but she just walked off and didn’t say a word with no intention of returning. Not the worst thing to ever happen but as she was then rude to my niece when she went to order by telling her I was in the wrong we made that the last drink and moved on.

Location fab. Spotless, room gorgeous. Absolutely highly recommend. The only issue was the fire alarm went off shortly after booking in. No one came to let us know we needed to leave the premises. We just took ourselves down to the foyer. We were asked to stand outside until I actually asked if we could go into the Grand until sorted. We received no apology and communication wasn’t good at all. It was a special weekend for my partner, so it was a bit of a downer. However they maintain the hotels to a high standard

The staff were friendly and very helpful. We asked for a quiet room where we would be away from the music and joviality of the Irish bar next door which they not only gave but they upgraded us to a superior room as well. The hotel was very well maintained and clean throughout. The room ( including the ensuite) was very comfortable, immaculate and the furnishings were stylish and everything worked. One of the best hotel rooms we have stayed in for a long while ( better than the Ritz in Piccadilly actually!!!!) The hotel location was excellent.

The fire alarm at midnight which can’t be marked against them and although a false alarm, it proved that the system worked. It would have been better to be able to have breakfast in the hotel rather than at their sister hotel The Bold, across the road. It was raining torrentially on the morning we were there so we did not bother to have breakfast. The Irish sports bar next door seems a bit out of place being next door to the stylish Lord Street Hotel and its glamorous, adjoining sister hotel The Grand. I say this only because a sports bar is meant to be a loud, jovial establishment and the Lord Street and The Grand guest experience is more about peace and tranquility which can’t be achieved if the bar is busy.

Very poor continental breakfast . Only sugar coated cereals and sweet pastries. The only thing I could eat was melon as I am a diabetic. Thomas the waiter purchased a low sugar cereal for my other breakfasts. He was very attentive and helpful My use of other hotel has seen a greater selection. Plain cereals, Croissants, cold meats, cheese. Made B+B seem expensive! In these days of healthy eating and sugar tax I should not have to request a special diet due to my diabetes Very disappointing

I should have been made aware when I booked that a lift didn’t go to the 2nd floor. Very difficult when you have mobility problems Didn’t expect my window view to be of scaffolding. When this has occurred at previous hotels I was always made aware on booking.

The hotel was very hsitoric with a lovely entrance area and welcoming staff. The hotel lokked clean and was very easy to park when we got there. Parking was expensive but this was discounted using the code provided.

The view was aweful, looking onto a a roof and to the back of the building. The blinds wouldn't work and there was very little milk available to make a drink. Never known a hotal not to provide a few biscuits in the room also. The bar staff upstairs at the awards night we attended were quite rude and when a Manager attended, we didn't receive an apology. We were told on arrival that we could charge drinks to our room and this appeared not to be the case when we ordered a bottle of Prosecco. This was quite embarrasing and an apology would have been appropriate. There was not a llift to the second floor adn we had to haul suitcases up the stairs. Apreciate the building was old but an offer of assistance would have ben greatley appreciated.

Very nice hotel. Pleasant staff. Excellent King Suite with a HUGE TV. No issues with noise.

Expensive at bar. £12 for a Guinness and single gin and lemonade The bed in the King Suite needs to be bigger. It's a bog standard double bed. The main TV is actually wider than the bed, which is bizarre. Maybe put a king or queen sized bed in them? Also the King Suite(s) is on the third floor, so beware if you have mobility issues as to get up there involves climbing two sets of stairs. The lift only goes to the first floor.
