The room was bigger than I expected, probably because I was in a disabled room. The hairdryer plus would not reach the socket as the closest socket had been damaged & wasn't in use & the shower dribbled constantly. This was reported on the first morning & reported the same day. The shower was fixed & a triple adapter provided for the hairdryer. The T.V. worked well & there was plenty of tea, coffee & milk available. I would like to mention the female member of staff who was on duty on the night of the28th March. Unfortunately I didn't get her name. She was extremely helpful even offering to go to the bus stop outside the hotel to get me the times of the buses the following day which was above & beyond her duties!! I left a day early for personal reasons - nothing to do with the hotel.

On the negative side, the room was not as clean as I would have liked & dreadful around the bath taps. The room was too hot during the day & cool at night. The doors banged very loudly outside as people used them to navigate the hotel.

I love the staff. Absolutely loved the food. Sooo delicious. Thanks chef. Parking perfect, the Hotel was really nice.

The shower, in the bath tub I don't mind but the Curtin in the shower was mouldy. Whilst I showered it was sticking to my body. It was gros. I put the curtain on the otherwise if the bath but then it flooded the floor. No drainage in there, it was so horrible. It was to hard to work the taps., not even my partner could work it out. Eventually he did but the whole bathroom thing was pretty average for such a good hotel.

Clean rooms, staff so friendly and accommodating to your needs to early check in. Very knowledgeable to the surrounding community. Beds are so comfortable and you’re guaranteed a good nights sleep. Breakfast is plentiful from continental to full breakfast and vegan or vegetarian options . On the doorstep to nearby motorway connections.

There no negativity to point out about the mount. I’ve stayed here quite a lot and never found a fault. To be honest l usually joke which room l getting on booking in.

Location perfect, easy to find from M6 and close to my good friend in Pemberton, so ideal for me. I have to commend Emma on reception, she was so very helpful, I would definitely book this hotel again. A hidden gem, the fact that the bedroom block was separate from the pub ensured there was no noise interference on a busy weekend. Plenty parking. The rooms were also well sound insulated from traffic noise from the motorway .

Only because I have slight problems with my knees, a lift would have been good as there were lots of stairs to negotiate.

I have informed them about my arrival time, but it was changed and late . .they have taken and noted it well. for the price its great value. .I have asked them to make the room extra clean due to kidos sensitivity, they have listened. . some people talk about the bathroom and it's condition. but it's has nice cleanliness and good care even they are bit outdated or behind some year, but it's just your view. For me as long as they in great condition and clean its same as newer bathroom equipment.

All good for the price we paid.

Bed was comfy, large room

Having to wait a good 20 minutes along with other guests as there was no one on reception, even when another visitor had tried to call the staff on mobile if no one was on the desk. I also tried and was unable to get anyone, one of the visitors had to go over to the pub for staff. Isn't really what you'd expect considering the grounds are scenic. The main room light was flickering on and off, lamps heavily coated in dust.

Location was great as we were travelling from Cornwall to Edinburgh so it was just over half way. Plenty of parking and just off the M6. It was exactly like a travel lodge so did the job perfectly Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good, except I would have preferred nicer bread for the toast rather than sliced processed but that is a minor detail.

The accommodation did look well used and was rather tired looking but fine for us and what we needed.

The rooms were clean, tidy and well equipt. Bed was extremely comfortable. Fans provided in the room to help with the hot weather. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful (ecpecially the lovely receptionist) Good location and the pub on site was great.

Building was a little dated. Outside could do with a freshen up, woodwork painting, sweeping etc. Sealant around bath/sink was a little mouldy. A little time and effort and it would be great.

I was very impressed with how accommodating the hotel team were when I messaged before my booking date to ask for a quiet room. They were quick to respond and reallocate my room. The room was basic, a little tired, but very clean and the bed was comfortable, decent shower too, once I worked out how to use it ! 😊

Although clean and comfortable, the room I was in was a little tired and would possibly benefit from a bit of a repaint and update, but it didn't detract from the stay and for the price paid it was good value.

Stayed once before and no issues, this time however the floor in the bathroom was mouldy, we had no dressing table chair and the bath was clearly not cleaned as it had hair in it. As we were only there for a couple of hours through the night we didn’t have time or energy to do anything about it. The staff and the bed itself, were exceptional. Both times we’ve stayed there’s been a “tree” smell throughout the corridors. The first time our room was too high up so didn’t spread to the room however this time we could still smell it in the room and it’s not a very nice smell. We would still stay again for the convenience but if we are not happy we will be saying something. This time we just didn’t have the chance.
