We had picked a 2pm check in on booking.com but when we approached the desk at 2:45ish we were told our room wasn’t ready. However when we asked staff for an update Jazeel was so quick to get us all sorted and couldn’t offer enough help. The room was lovely and out the way in the cottage area. The food was absolutely amazing at dinner. Both of us had the stacked burger and it was just fantastic (it also came with fries and sauce). There is a bargain booze and tesco short drive from hotel for any extra necessities. Cottage rooms are very nice. The bathroom had a great shower and kitchen is sufficient however we didn’t have cutlery to start out (which was later delivered by the helpful Jazeel) and no pans to cook but this didn’t affect us. The bed was comfortable and large with an even larger duvet, couch was nice and it looked to be a fold out bed option. A good selection of different breakfasts including classic english breakfast, pastries, fruits, cereals, and cheese. Dining was busy when we arrived midway through breakfast but the second day we came later and it was much quieter. Staff were very good at refilling food and helpful with cutlery and tables. At the end of the weekend and after checking out we had booked ourselves an hour couple massage which was absolutely fantastic and a wonderful experience to end the long weekend away. Staff were amazing and attentive.

Beautiful relaxing hotel, check in staff member was amazing, so friendly and attentive and even upgraded us to a superior room because it was our first time staying. Breakfast was delicious, very relaxing. The grounds of the hotel were beautiful, lovely area and within striking distance of everything.

We found our first stay not too good but when he looked for some advice we spoke to Jazeel who was extremely helpful and helped us with all of our queries and gave us all the help that was required.

the location was absolutely fantastic,a piece of heaven with a nice big lake and a beautiful view,plenty park on site and marvelous main hotel enterance,clean bathrooms and good mannered staff,pool was worm and big enough,breakfast was fair nothing special but good value for the money.

as you’ve gone past maine enterance you will go through some doors which changes completely the view of the hotel. outdated paint,outdated doors,dirty walls into the room,carpets not cleaned properly,pool access is through outside yard and it’s like 5 minutes walk through hotel and yard then again some more walk,adults breakfast same price as children’s not the same as the pool where children’s are half price for the day pass.

The club on the back of hotel got attacked by the doorstaff because I was from Liverpool

The first given room was really cold and after 2,3hours I decided to go down and report the problem and then was giving a different room

Attended for the pageant stayed 4 nights was very welcoming staff where friendly

On arriving at our cottage there was a few things .. No hairdryer No remote control TV was not set up and we didn't manage to do it so no TV for 4 days 1 plate A very little amount of cutlery. Housekeeper knocked the door on the first morning to ask if we needed towels .... this was the only time house keepers came!!! Had to ask for toilet rolls , bin liners

Loved the scenery around the hotel. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Plenty of facilities to keep us busy. Had one of the best nights sleep on the bed too…super comfy!

We could hear absolutely every word the people in the next room said. We could also tell what they were watching on their tv just by the sound of it blasting through the walls. They didn’t have it on late though so that was ok. They did wake us up however. We stayed in a superior room but I didn’t think it was all that superior. The room looked like it had previously had some work done and it wasn’t finished fully. A new door frame for example but unfinished painting and exposed woodwork. It made the room look shoddy. The walls were rather dirty also and could have done with a lick of paint. Overall though we were happy with the room, just not really surprised.

The hotel staff were amazing, the restaurant food was incredible (the Flame Friday South Indian Buffet is worth going back for) and despite still having a lot of building work going on the spa was great. The spa staff were brilliant and friendly and the changing rooms were really modern and well thought out. Shout out to the restaurant staff for really going above and beyond, even the robot waiter (yes, they have a robot!) Our room was bigger than I expected and the shower was really good. Everything felt brand new/recently decorated. If this is how good it is in the middle of a renovation then I can't wait to come back when everything is finished

This is a lovely hotel situated well for Wrightington hospitals. Close to the M6 motorway J27 The hotel was clean, the rooms were big enough for someone on crutches. Nice reasonably priced food. Polite & friendly staff.

Eventually found the hotel after sat nav directed us to a motorway stop over which was going to be a long route back up the motorway & back if a barrier was not damaged to get through. As a disabled man the access to the spa area was ridiculous! We left the main building then walked a long way passing doors that were locked to go round the buildings on crutches on wet floors to get back to the same place to enter the spa.
