We had picked a 2pm check in on booking.com but when we approached the desk at 2:45ish we were told our room wasn’t ready. However when we asked staff for an update Jazeel was so quick to get us all sorted and couldn’t offer enough help. The room was lovely and out the way in the cottage area. The food was absolutely amazing at dinner. Both of us had the stacked burger and it was just fantastic (it also came with fries and sauce). There is a bargain booze and tesco short drive from hotel for any extra necessities. Cottage rooms are very nice. The bathroom had a great shower and kitchen is sufficient however we didn’t have cutlery to start out (which was later delivered by the helpful Jazeel) and no pans to cook but this didn’t affect us. The bed was comfortable and large with an even larger duvet, couch was nice and it looked to be a fold out bed option. A good selection of different breakfasts including classic english breakfast, pastries, fruits, cereals, and cheese. Dining was busy when we arrived midway through breakfast but the second day we came later and it was much quieter. Staff were very good at refilling food and helpful with cutlery and tables. At the end of the weekend and after checking out we had booked ourselves an hour couple massage which was absolutely fantastic and a wonderful experience to end the long weekend away. Staff were amazing and attentive.

Beautiful relaxing hotel, check in staff member was amazing, so friendly and attentive and even upgraded us to a superior room because it was our first time staying. Breakfast was delicious, very relaxing. The grounds of the hotel were beautiful, lovely area and within striking distance of everything.

We found our first stay not too good but when he looked for some advice we spoke to Jazeel who was extremely helpful and helped us with all of our queries and gave us all the help that was required.

the location was absolutely fantastic,a piece of heaven with a nice big lake and a beautiful view,plenty park on site and marvelous main hotel enterance,clean bathrooms and good mannered staff,pool was worm and big enough,breakfast was fair nothing special but good value for the money.

as you’ve gone past maine enterance you will go through some doors which changes completely the view of the hotel. outdated paint,outdated doors,dirty walls into the room,carpets not cleaned properly,pool access is through outside yard and it’s like 5 minutes walk through hotel and yard then again some more walk,adults breakfast same price as children’s not the same as the pool where children’s are half price for the day pass.

The club on the back of hotel got attacked by the doorstaff because I was from Liverpool

The staff were lovely. Friendly and helpful. The hotel was really nice and the room comfortable and clean. The shower was fab. We had a nice meal in the restaurant and again, the staff were lovely.

The only issue was the lift not working, but even then a member of staff carried our bags up to our room. All rooms were upstairs so for anyone with mobility problems, that made it difficult. Having said that, these things happen and no time was wasted in fixing it. It was being fixed as we left in the morning. I would also recommend a couple more disabled parking places as the car park was very busy and therefore we had to park quite a bit away from the reception.

The garden area was lovely, the lights at night round the water was beautiful. The reception area was excellent, very comfortable. The room itself though standard was lovely with a great bathroom. Bed was very comfortable and totally recommend the restaurant. Staff were very helpful and apologetic due to lack of lift, but offered to help carry bags. Slept very well, though hotel was busy, we were not disturbed by music.

The signage or lack of for where to park. Some of the grounds need a little renovation especially car par 4 area. The reception desk is very small especially when dealing with wedding parties and normal guests. Also ithe included dinner menu, though good food, needs a little expansion.

We arrived at 3pm and check-in was smooth. The room was spot on – very clean, warm, quiet, and comfortable, with a bathroom that felt brand new. We then visited the bar and enjoyed a beer in the lovely outdoor area, before taking a walk by the lake, which was so peaceful and relaxing. Later, we spent time in the spa facilities – steam room, sauna, and swimming pool – all of which were excellent. The sauna in particular was perfect; as someone who has been using saunas since childhood, I can say the temperature and setup were just right. In the evening, we had dinner in the restaurant, which rounded off a perfect stay. Everything from start to finish was top class, and we absolutely loved it.

Decor, facilities, atmosphere, welcoming helpful staff, breakfast was good too

A few small things that would have made my stay perfect: 1. The kettle station didn’t have a spoon, which made it tricky to stir my tea. 2. There were a few cobwebs in the room — otherwise, it was very clean. 3. I booked a room advertised as having a balcony, but the door couldn’t be opened and it was actually just a flat roof outside. Since I paid extra for this feature, it was disappointing and I don’t feel it should be listed as a balcony. Otherwise, everything else about the stay was lovely.
