We had picked a 2pm check in on booking.com but when we approached the desk at 2:45ish we were told our room wasn’t ready. However when we asked staff for an update Jazeel was so quick to get us all sorted and couldn’t offer enough help. The room was lovely and out the way in the cottage area. The food was absolutely amazing at dinner. Both of us had the stacked burger and it was just fantastic (it also came with fries and sauce). There is a bargain booze and tesco short drive from hotel for any extra necessities. Cottage rooms are very nice. The bathroom had a great shower and kitchen is sufficient however we didn’t have cutlery to start out (which was later delivered by the helpful Jazeel) and no pans to cook but this didn’t affect us. The bed was comfortable and large with an even larger duvet, couch was nice and it looked to be a fold out bed option. A good selection of different breakfasts including classic english breakfast, pastries, fruits, cereals, and cheese. Dining was busy when we arrived midway through breakfast but the second day we came later and it was much quieter. Staff were very good at refilling food and helpful with cutlery and tables. At the end of the weekend and after checking out we had booked ourselves an hour couple massage which was absolutely fantastic and a wonderful experience to end the long weekend away. Staff were amazing and attentive.

Beautiful relaxing hotel, check in staff member was amazing, so friendly and attentive and even upgraded us to a superior room because it was our first time staying. Breakfast was delicious, very relaxing. The grounds of the hotel were beautiful, lovely area and within striking distance of everything.

We found our first stay not too good but when he looked for some advice we spoke to Jazeel who was extremely helpful and helped us with all of our queries and gave us all the help that was required.

The club on the back of hotel got attacked by the doorstaff because I was from Liverpool

The first given room was really cold and after 2,3hours I decided to go down and report the problem and then was giving a different room

The location of the hotel is superb. Surrounded by lovely countryside and the grounds are well maintained. 24 hour reception is a good thing. The staff were very polite and helpful. There is a lift to the upper floors, and there was plenty of space in our room - they upgraded us free of charge. Very comfy bed and nice selection of drinks, biscuits awaiting us. There was a good selection of food for breakfast, and great that you can go to breakfast as early as 6.30am. The pool and changing facilities were very good. All in all, a very nice break but it wasn't long enough, so we'll have to go back! Highly recommended

I'm a light sleeper, so I could hear the TV next door, and the breakfast was a little cold (as with all buffet breakfasts). Only minor things.

Group of 4. Went for an old skool event at the nightclub on site and stayed at the hotel. They were holding a few events and a wedding that night and they asked us which event we were staying at so they could give us the most suitable rooms We didn't mind being on a noisy corridor if needed to avoid upsetting any wedding guests(we were expecting a hotel type toom but they allocated us a small apartment to sleep 4 with a kitchenette on the grounds. Perfect for what 4 lads who had been drinking all day needed! . Worked out at under £50 each with a good breakfast in the morning. Would could have used the spa facilities but we were too hung over unfortunately! Excellent hotel with great potential for evening and nightclub events . I think they'll do well. Would return

Amazing location. Peaceful and stunning hotel with a lovely little seating area by the lake. Easy to find and service station within walking distance from the hotel. All the staff were amazing and extra care taken when the event took place. For me and my partner the only fault was the bed, two nights stayed here and the bed was so uncomfortable we checked out at 7am because of the bed. The room was very clean and facilities were great. No way of knowing how to order room service, but I didn't ask to which the staff most probably would off accommodated this. Would stay again but would stay in a different room. Lovely couple get away would reccommended. Also the place is card only to which we had alot of cash rather then card.

Bed was very uncomfortable with an early check out because of this.

Well, little noise from the next room side but other then all good ...before we check out some hotel staff knocked our door twice when we were about to leaving with our luggages...that i didn't like it...we mostly stayed many hotel but never seen like this that they knocked our door and tell us to check out...I've paid for early check in and we know that we have to check out around 11am 12 noon but this guy shouldn't be knocking our room few times ...otherwise our stay was good and we really appreciated the welcome from the desk Thank you

The bar staff and Debbie at reception were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I found an issue with my room where there was a small water leak and when I raised this with them they transferred me swiftly and without hassle. The bar staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. Housekeeping was to a good standard and the rooms were a decent size especially for the 5 nights I was there. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and I didn't have a single bad night sleep.

No massive complaints other than some of the facilities being unavailable due to refurbishment which I was made aware of before my stay. The general area seems dilapidated and in need of work although this clearly seems to be a work in progress. The hotel itself though was great. The only other gripe is that the keycards automatically deactivate each day for security which is good but it requires a visit to reception every day to get them reactivated which we weren't made aware of until we queried why the cards didn't work. A minor inconvenience but perfectly understandable.
