Excellent breakfast, set me up for the day so well that I didn't really need lunch. Good sized room for a single, washbasin in room. Good wi-fi. Spacious car park. Would have thought the price steep if it was just a bed and breakfast or guest house but found St Andrews to be much more of a hotel when I got there.
Having a television on in the breakfast room is a bit of a bugbear of mine, although I don't mind it as much as I did when I started to experience hearing loss. Only seems to happen in the North of England these days, the rest of the World seems to prefer a calmer start to things now.

Great pricing for what you get! The room we had was very cosy and well decorated. Loved the wallpaper in the bathroom with the fishes! Any faults with the shower they had mentioned on the wall (wouldn't work as well if on really high heat) so it was informative but also not a problem unless you plan to burn yourself lol! The room was also really clean which is always a bonus, the cleaners did wonderful! The staff were super friendly and welcoming, taught us how to open the door after it closes at 10, reminded us about what time's breakfast starts and so on! Breakfast you didn't have to pay for, the lady serving us was really friendly too! We got a full English but if you were still peckish you can get more from the counters in the room such as cereal and pastries I think, I didn't get more as I was full but there's plenty to choose from!
The only thing I would suggest is a wider blanket, me and my partner were a little short of it if we weren't extremely close together, but that's all really! I still slept great since it's warm anyway but if it were winter maybe it would be more of an issue

The place is well-kept and clean. Very friendly staff making sure you have everything you need! A nice full English breakfast is served. We had a room on the top floor with an en-suite bathroom, which was just right for the length and purpose of our stay. The house is located in a nice residential area, and getting to the town centre or train station is easy, because various bus lines are reached within a couple of minutes' walk.
The separation between room and bathroom consists of a curtain. I recommend for that to be replaced. A few more hooks or shelves to leave things on would be nice, too.

The staff were helpful and very welcoming, both in person and via text message after I'd booked. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the whole building smelt really fresh and, again, very clean. I loved the high ceilings and the cool decor, particularly in the bathroom! I was very pleased that I could get some vegan options for breakfast. I really appreciate how the staff made sure everything was suitable for me (and the food was great!). The hotel is located in a quiet part of Preston opposite a church and a short walk from a few convenience shops and a very good chippy (King Kod - highly recommended!). I wasn't at all worried about the car in the car park outside. I slept excellently and will definitely book again when I'm next in the area.
These are very, very minor things, so they're hardly worth mentioning, but I think it'd be good to have some sort of shelves in the bathroom for clothes and stuff. A shelf for shower gel in the shower would also be useful! I'm not sure if this is intentional, but I couldn't see any signage for the hotel outside. While the directions did take me to the right place, I was briefly a bit confused as to where the entrance was. Maybe a little sign might help? As I said, nothing major at all - just suggestions!

We stayed in the annex attached to the hotel which was very private and our own space Breakfast was provided but had to cook ourselves but as we were on a schedule we didn’t have time Clean, comfortable and modern Own parking available outside but our jeep wouldn’t fit
Hotel could have been opened for everyone to use Stairs are narrow and right at the bedroom door so care is needed as would be easy to fall down them. However, fully understand with the space available not much can be done to change and wouldn’t stop us staying again and wasn’t that big of a problem

The staff was lovely, very very mindful. They made sure we have a great breakfast offering us everything they had(they had a lot) from the traditional english breakfast, to sandwiches and all sorts of cereals. The room was very comfy, small but very nicely decorated and above all, very very clean(me and my wife work in hospitality and is unavoidable for us notice if something is wrong, but in this case everything was tidy and clean.) We enjoyed a lot even if it was only one night. Definately recomendable for the money. Great value, great place.

The breakfast was incredible and very quick as well. The room was small but done exactly what I needed it to do, it was a place to sleep at night and to keep my belongings safe during the day. The building is quite old but the owners have managed to keep the old rustic feel and original features of the building while still making it suitable for modern use. Wifi connection was strong throughout my visit, only had 1 or 2 moment where I was disconnected for a moment and had to reconnect, but I would expect this on any free network offered by a business. And the staff were so lovely at all times.
Just the small size of the room, but even then, it wasn't that big a deal for me.

Travelling as a family, with 3 primary school aged children we ideally wanted to all be in one room. The Family room at St. Andrews house hotel provided enough space for us to be in one room without feeling cramped. The beautiful architecture of the building with high ceilings was a great bonus to our stay.
One of the beds in the room had a dip in the mattress which made it a little uncomfortable but there were enough beds for us to move around without it affecting our sleep too much.

The staff were amazing. We left to go out one day, and I'd tied the bag. And I said don't worry about anything. Just take the bag. And they didn't. They came and gave it a full clean and made the bed. Breakfast was included which was lovely. Super friendly, super clean, just a super over all environment. If you don't drive but you go for a stay, one stop is 3 mins walking and McDonald's and other things in a retail park are a 10 min walk. Just perfect location and everything.
There's absolutely NOTHING I didn't like.

Nice, cosy room in a house (Room #9 with 3 beds). It was a very quiet place to rest well. Wonderful people at the reception and the dining room. Tasty Breakfast options (Typical English and Continental). Might try the independent annex the next time for a longer stay (we just stayed for a night to rest on the way from Scotland to London).
Can't think of any. Hotel and Rooms could be old-fashioned for some, but that didn't affect our stay in any manner. No lifts for the rooms upstairs in case you need to carry-up big suitcases (we just took out necessary items from the car).
