So we booked a family room and ended up with a twin room but as there were only 2 of us we didn’t complain. The price we paid was well over hyped as all hotels were as local rock star Richard Ashcroft was in town playing a gig. The room had no windows but I have to say the hospitality made up for this and we really loved our stay especially getting back late after the gig and being able to have a few drinks at the bar with the locals that was something special. Staff were so friendly so thank you for an amazing weekend 😀

Nice room. Excellent in terms of there being plenty of toiletries, towels, coat hangers etc - thought put into guests. Good location, just minutes walk from town centre.
Parking and or breakfast would have seen higher marks given - though the price reflects this to be fair. The pub would surely benefit from offering a couple of real ales to go with the sports on tv and pool table - though in that respect, the Real Crafty directly opposite is excellent on that front.

Great value for money and the staff were very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable offering the slightly later check out of 12pm compared to other properties normally being 10/11am was a great plus!
It is at no fault of the property but there was an alarm going off continuously on a building from when we arrived at 3pm to when we left at 12pm the next day I really hope it’s not a constant disruption as it would put me off staying again. The curtains were very thin also meaning the room was bright very early I prefer thick/black out curtains.

The staff were really friendly, especially the bartender who had to work on no sleep. She's a real trooper 💪 The bed was really comfy and the room nice and cosy.
It was quite loud on Saturday night, but they warned me beforehand it could be. Plus it's a pub, so I wasn't that upset by the noise. It's kinda expected.

Locality, a good pub, good beer. Been going there for decades. Since refurbishing a few years ago it is competitive for a town centre location.
TV didn't work , but a man was due to come and fix it. I didn't need the TV, just wanted to check something unimportant. Doors need a bit of adjustment as locks don't quite align. Needed a shove.

The staff members were friendly and helpful. Had a wonderful stay! The location is close to landmarks. The room was sparkling clean and comfortable. I loved that Netflix was available . The noise from the bar wasn't as bad as I'd expected. It was fun. Good value for money. I highly recommend it!"

Really enjoyed it here very friendly staff and rooms very clean. Comfy bed nice choice in pillows. Entertainment downstairs is loud but it was a Friday night music died off around 1 but it wasn't too bad. We both enjoyed our night here and would definitely recommend prices of drinks not bad either.

Room was nice and clean. Beds really comfy had good night sleep
Can ever so slightly hear the pub downstairs but once the pub is shut it’s nice a quiet. Curtains need to be a little bit thinker as let in all the light when the sun came up

Great location, two minutes from Wigan town centre. The room and beds were spotless, as was the en- suite bathroom. Staff were extremely helpful and polite. The pub downstairs is a bonus and a great spot for a drink. The overall stay was excellent. Would stay again.
