I liked everything is an excellent place

It would be good to warn that the road is a bit difficult terrain especially when it rains.

Gorges it was just amazing!! Check in and check out was a little slow. It’s not in town at all but a quick cab ride into it and gorgeous views of the rock!!! Just amazing!! I wished we could have stayed longer!! It was a home away from Home reminded me of my cabin back at home just wonderful

It was a little far but to be honest I also liked that about it as well!

We loved this place! The location on the reservoir, service (assistance to get taxis and answering various questions about the area), and were unbeatable! It was a very peaceful place to spend a few days. It was a 15 minute drive into the town of Guatape and felt safe to go during the day and night. The breakfast ingredients were delicious and replenished when we needed them to be. Would 100% recommend!

the views are fantastic! glad we didn’t decide to stay inside the city because we had such a lovely and relaxing view every evening. what really made our stay was Señor Luis Alfonso, he not only helped us with our luggage when the taxi driver refused to drive down the (terrible) road, he was very responsive and quick to assist with anything. he made us a bonfire in the evenings and got the jacuzzi cleaned and ready for us. this man is the diamond of the property, he takes so much pride and joy in doing what he is doing! they are very lucky to have him!

mattress is not comfortable, quite hard and thin. breakfast is included but you have to cook it yourself. otherwise would have given 10 stars

Clean rooms and good helpful stuff. Small Hotel but has everything what need. Two saunas, jacuzzi- wire pool, fire pit. We had  Breakfast included, but had to make ourselves, they giving all products: eggs, cheese, butter, milk, juice and Colombian pancakes. Was very good area, very close to La Penon hill. Can take automoto or walk to the hill. Guatape center is just 5km from La Penon hill. We took boat tour from Guatape and asked captain to take as to hotel, because hotel has a pier.

Beautiful and tranquil location with a wonderful view of La Piedro del Peñon. Loved the hammock right outside the room to chill out over the lake. Really quiet and peaceful location. Surprised that whilst breakfast not stated to be included online, you get a little basket of food to cook yourself in the kitchenette, which was very nice addition! Staff were incredibly friendly and can help with calling a Tuk Tuk. Free coffee in room and at reception.

Did not realise quite how far the location was from town - costs 18,000 COP each way to get a Tuk Tuk in and out of Guatape 15 mins away. We weren't prepared for this! There is no restaurant at the hotel so we got many rides in and out of town, which adds up extra cost of course. This wouldn't be such as issue if you had your own car or were prepared to cook meals - They did have 'heat up' meals available at the hotel but we wanted to head in to a restaurant. Did also book it thinking close to La Piedra so could walk there - which we did (1.7km) but it was on quite a poor and steep road so don't let this be your only reason for staying!

I wish I'd found this place first (instead of the horrible place I stayed at close-by). I was so pleased to find this little gem, with a very comfortable room, and a balcony with superb views. Although the room was quite small, everything was accessible and the space worked really well, especially with the added balcony. It's not so easily accessible (which made it nicer in my opinion), but I had an arrangement with a tuk-tuk driver so there was little hassle in arranging a ride. The mini-bar was well stocked, which was essential, as it requires effort to leave the property for food/drinks/supplies.

The access road in could be a little smoother, but probably not the (sole) responsibiity of the hotel.

Booking.com kept asking me for a review....Great location if you want to view the lake and the Peñon with your coffee. However if you don't have a car you will do some walking or pay tuk tuks. However, overall a good stay. The Centro of Guatapé is beautiful.

It's just a stickling point of mine, but there are neighbors on the lake who have bright aircraft carrier night lights which ruined the ambience of the lake, and every drape had to be shut at night. Really Amigos why live in the woods if you're going to light it up? That's not the hotel's fault, but a slingshot would work wonders. Also make sure you get a second floor as our lower unit had some tap dancing elephants above us. Hard to believe that two young women could take so many steps in such a small place!

Been there from Jan 13 to 15, booked an apartment. The apt was on literally on the shore of the lake with an amazing view. It was isolated, therefore dark and quiet at night, but with perfect wifi connection. The kitchen was provided with the basics to cook a basic meal. As it sits in a rural area, however, some common insects such as house spiders and mosquitoes maybe seen, though this was no bother for us. A variety of birds could be seen and heard, and the kayak dock was a few meters away. Special mention for Don Luis, a lovely middle-age man who gifted us with his smile and helpfulness. All the best to him!

breakfast was provided but consisted of only two eggs, two arepas and some cheese for two people. Could have been more.

Beautiful views over the lake and the rock. Quick tuctuc ride to Guatape when you want. Great sauna and steam room. We really enjoyed our stay.
