The staff were lovely and we felt very well looked after. They did their utmost best to look after their customers. We saw Rhinos! We didn't see them elsewhere in Kenya. Nakuru is the best place for this and we believe this is the best place in Nakuru to stay.
I wasn't the biggest fan of the room in terms of the design and perhaps soundproofing as well. This could use a bit of infrastructural development. Nakuru is a small city but the air quality is pretty bad compared to Masai Mara, Naivasha or even the central business district of Nairobi. With that said, the hotel is located within the national park of Nakuru, so it is fairly well protected from that pollution.

The staff is very well trained and genuinely hospitable. From the bell desk person who instantly became friends with my son, to the security people at the gate, to the really friendly staff at restaurant especially the lady at breakfast. The icing on the cake was one member of staff noticed my dusty, dirty car and cleaned it for me overnight - without a word of a request from me. This blew me away, highly appreciative of his level of anticipatory service.
The property is a little dated but that adds a little to the charm i guess, the only downside was that my 3 year old son got more than 15 mosquito bites during lunch at the restaurant and when i asked for a bug spray or something similar, the request was ignored. The lady just shrugged and walked away. I had to go back to the room to bring my own. The staff member didnt seem to care. This was the only downside to an otherwise amazing stay.

The grounds, our duplex villa on a hillside, the restaurant with an amazing array of delicious food, daily activities, a pool, a well-trained and friendly staff, and a wonderful spa with excellent services all combined to make this an excellent experience on Lake Nakuru.
The property was great. Recent severe rains made 2/3 of the park inaccessible, curtailing our game drives in this beautiful place. A talented safari guide made the best of the situation, teaching us about the many wildlife we were able to see. As water recedes, Kenya Wildlife Services can restore full access.

A fantastic getaway! The lodge is bang in the middle of the reserve and you get into the game thrill the minute you drive through Lanet gate. Mr Edwin and Ms Friedah at the reception were absolute rockstars as we were coming in during night time. We were very well looked after. The rooms were clean and spacious. Mozzie nets were well set up. Special mention for the restaurant and Chef Nicholas who promptly assured us of Halal meals for dinner, brekkie and lunch, and even produce the halal certificates. This attention was much appreciated. The safari was arranged through the Lodge itself and Mike our driver and guide was brilliant with plenty of tidbits and fun facts along the way. The sauna and pool was accessible despite having checked out.

Big bungalows and comfortable beds, 5 star services and polite staff, in the middle of Nakuru lake park. Liked very much the national park and the game drives around the hotel, allowing to spot rhinos, which are quite rare in rest of Kenya.
Very pricey hotel, it was the most expensive accommodation we paid during our Kenyan safari, for no obvious reason (stayed in better hotels for a fraction of the cost). The food also needs improvement for western visitors while the pool and the rooms overall could use a renovation.

Sarova Lion Hill Lodge is an amazing lodge located inside the Nakuru national reserve. We had an amazing time and we enjoyed the hotel and the game drives in the reserve. The hotel offered an upgrade to the suite, which we really enjoyed. Great set up, with very nice garden and views to the lake, and great buffet options. We would recommend staying here.
Nothing to mention. We had a great time and we are very greatful to the staff. Maybe to mention that the road between Nairobi and Nakuru is very busy and that at certain times we had some concerns on road safety. However, we would recommend doing this road to discover the communities in the Rift Valley.

This is a safe, well maintained, convenient lodge to spend a couple nights and enjoy the park. The number one asset is the staff, they are extremely kind and professional. The rooms are simple but nice.
I guess the one thing that could be improved is the food. Nothing alarming, we had all of our meals at the buffet and always found stuff to eat. It's just that desserts all look nice but disappoint in the mouth - which is something I could say about many places in the country though, even ArtCaffe in NBO.

Perfect location and supportive staff
If you are booking it by looking at the pictures which they have posted, you are going to be disappointed. Because they have posted the pictures of their suite under all other room options. However, once I realized it after checking in I did question about it and then the staff moved us to another room with little more space.

The buffet food selection was extensive ensuring diverse options for different palettes. The room was clean and spacious. The grounds were very quiet, nice for a nature getaway. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They also warmed up the bed in the evening using a hot water bottle! very appreciated given the chilly temperature in the evening. The evening meal was accompanied by great live music!

Wow. Top lodge experience on our trip. Amazing service. Took care of our vegan diet easily and were excited to have us try the special meals and desserts. Great wifi. We loved it here. We also booked a drive with the lodge and it was great too!
I wish I knew there was a sauna that needs to be prebooked, I would've planned our stay to fit some time in for that.
