This was our 4th year in a row staying at Elounda Heights — it truly feels like our paradise away from home. We absolutely love coming here. Everyone is so lovely and welcoming, the food is amazing, and the atmosphere is perfect for relaxing. The pool is beautiful, the views are stunning, and we love that we can walk into town so easily. The amenities are excellent and everything is always spotless and well looked after. It's no surprise we keep coming back — already counting down to next year!

Couldn't stay longer

Perfect location with wonderful views from our balcony, restaurant & pool. The apartment was spacious, cleaned daily & had an amazing bathroom. Food was varied & tasty at both the restaurant & pool bar. But it is the owners & staff that makes this hotel one of a kind resulting in so many guests returning year after year. My wife had a minor mishap which required medical attention during our stay. Special thanks go to Ritsa who was in constant contact whilst on her weekend off & arranged for a doctor to attend. All the staff were so helpful & enquired on my wife's progress daily. Thankfully, we were able to enjoy the rest of our stay in the lovely surrounding of Elounda Heights.

Elounda Heights is one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. It just ticks all the boxes; - All the staff are super helpful and friendly, all of the time - The room we had was very clean, comfortable and generously sized - The pool area and bar is lovely and just always feels very relaxing/comfortable, + amazing views out to sea all around you - Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner at the restaurant and pool bar is very tasty and there is a great choice on offer Couldn't really fault anything to be honest. We would definitely like to stay again in the future (if we can get booked in that is)!

Super cosy hotel in a picturesque location with stunning views over the bay. We stayed for only 3 nights but immediately felt at home. This is not a big resort but a family-run hotel where guests tend to return year after year - and I understand why! The photos show exactly what this hotel looks like. Very nice pool and bar/breakfast area. Our room had its own terrace and a little kitchenette also. All over the premises there are cute garden hideouts with benches or chairs to relax in. There’s a pool table and a small gym which our family enjoyed. Breakfast was really nice with different jams and pastries every day. The restaurant offers nice home cooked meals for dinner, we ate one night in and the rest of the nights in Elounda, where there are really nice restaurants. During the day we also rented a boat which was fantastic. Overall a fabulous stay, we did not know anything about Elounda before our trip and but booked the hotel based on reviews and photos. We were not disappointed! And we will for sure recommend Elounda Heights and hope to return again! Thank you Ritsa & co for this lovely visit!

We liked everything. Of course it must be mentioned that the hotel is located on quite a steep a hill and you have to climb to get there from town. So probably not so easily accessible for people with difficulties walking. But you can also get taxis to get to Elounda and the hotel itself does not have big differences in altitude. We did not go to the city beach but it’s not the biggest beach on Crete. However if you have a car or go for a boat trip there are plenty of beaches around also!

What an absolutely incredible place! My friend and I arrived late in the day and it was incredibly hot and the staff greeted us with kindness and smiles. They took us to our studio, which was gorgeous with a wonderful view over Elounda. The facilities are brilliant with a lovely decent sized swimming pool, and no smoking around the pool. The restaurant is fab and the food and service are both incredible. We weren't rushed over dinner, and both the wine and food were delicious. The studio was very comfortable. It was big with good aircon and at night it was dark and quiet. We didn't bump into anyone else on our stay... the accommodation isn't cramped and we sat on the quiet balcony at night. We also used the washing machine onsite. The breakfast was incredible! Pastries, cakes, home made jams and bread plus your choice of a freshly made hot dish and tea/coffee and juice. The staff were wonderful! Nothing is too big an ask and they're on hand with anything you need. The local tavernas and beach are wonderful too... we did a daytrip to Spinalonga, which was brilliant, and we had a swim in the sea and lunch and a mooch in Plaka, which we loved too. I wish we could have spent a few more nights there. It was so relaxing and thank-you for a wonderful stay!

The big hill to get to the hotel! The reception very kindly sent me directions on whatsapp and said to get a taxi. We tried to walk it and with luggage, it is not recommended! The views are amazing though! Walking down is fine but it is recommended to get a taxi there from the village centre. There is also a bus to get to Plaka and Agios Nikolaos.

What I liked: the tranquility, jaw-dropping views, welcoming and professional staff expertly led by Natalia and Kostas, splendid food, ideal location overlooking the bay and Elounda, friendly fellow guests ... I have been coming for 7 years to the Elounda Heights, and it always maintains an excellent standard. It has a unique atmosphere generated by the management and staff, most of whom I know by first name and vice-versa, and this attests to their friendliness and fondness for their guests. A special mention for the food... this starts with an incredible selection of home-made sweet and savoury delights taken al fresco by the immaculate pool; transitions through the morning with snacks and drinks expertly served by Clio and colleagues from the pool bar (watch out for the Raki), then meanders towards dinner via Happy Hour, served in the fabulous outdoor restaurant opposite the reception and cocktail bar. Specials and an extensive a la carte created by Vangelis and the kitchen team and served by Katerina and Manos. Food is simply delicious and features local and regional ingredients. I have noticed that most guests prefer to dine-in, as the food and service is amazing and it saves staggering up the hill from town. Bottles of cold water (antidote to Raki?) and pool towels are provided, as are suncreams - what nice touches!

My visit was too short ... if only I had stayed another 3 weeks, maybe?

The owners have really thought about the needs of the modern guest. The hotel was spotless, the food tasty and the service exemplary. The beds were very comfy and the rooms were airy and cool. The bathroom was modern and clean. The few staff that worked there were obviously very experienced. Not once when putting purchases to the room did they need to ask our room name/number, they just knew. Nothing was any trouble and you really felt you were making their day letting them help you. I've done a bit of travelling over the years and you can usually find something to fault but I couldn't here.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Where to start? First thing you counter is the view. Amazing, no other words. Next thing, the staff: everyone is so nice and helpful, I felt very welcome. There's a sort of family feeling in the place, in the good sense of it. The room was exactly as in the pictures, very cozy and has a great sea vibe to it. And all the place's facilities are beautiful and convenient. And all in this pretty pretty setting. The food at dinner was really good, and the sweet breakfast prepared on the spot, with little homemade treats, was wonderful. Very much recommend.

The hotel was amazing, they are really guest focused which you could absolutely feel. Little things really made a difference like the cold water dispenser by the pool, the free laundry facilities with provided washing powder, a canvas bag to keep given on check-in to help with taking things you need from your room to the pool. The staff were also fantastic, helping to book trips for us and just lovely friendly people. The view was also stunning. I cannot recommend the hotel more - honestly it was truly lovely.

The walk back from town was VERY uphill. We did it every day, and were fine. Good to get a leg work out after a big dinner! But some people would find it a bit of a struggle. A taxi from town is only €6 back to the hotel though, so not too bad and I am sure if you needed a taxi into town the staff would help you get one sorted.

It was magical. The hotel is situated on the top of the hill, the view is magnificent and at the same time it is 5 mins from the city center. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. The staff deserves 10+ for their service and hospitality. The cheff was so nice and prepared special food for me due to my food diet. We had very nice dinners in the hotel, probably way better than we had outside. Ritsa, the receptionist, was extremely helpful and provided with the best recommendations of the sights to visit or restaurants to celebrate our special occasion. The drinks at the bar were great and the bar tender treated us like friends. Definitely will come back to this hotel again.
