The infinit written and erase in the sky; the tranquil and peaceful Relais Chiostro di Pienza in the midth of the open earth of Val d’Orcia; a delicately-attended garden; a gazebo to enjoy the starry night; And the kind beautifull lady who is always smiling and helpful... All of these has left indelible sweet memory in my mind. My lady knew we would head to Siena from Pienza, she just kindly printed the bus route for our convenience. If I had the luck to visit Pienza once again, I will bring my family and choose to stay in the warm hotel again, for sure. I don't know whether or not the nice lady will work here any more, but I am looking forward to it ...

The breakfast buffet was very nice with most anything one expects normally at breakfast-eggs, delicious pastries, waffles, fresh fruit & more. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was a lovely experience. Unfortunately the wind was strong and we were unable to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful view which is the main reason we made the reservation, but of course they could not help wind and we had a lovely table inside where I could at least look out. Our room had a lovely courtyard view with windows that looked out onto the cobblestone courtyard and our bed was the most comfortable of our entire vacation as it was kingsize and had great support.

Location is excellent which is in the centre of the town, and also have a good view of the valley when you walk around the hotel court. The view of the valley is just so fantastic and we really enjoy it when we had breakfast/dinner in the hotel court. The breakfast is good and has many choices. The hotel also has a swimming pool and you can have some fun in it especially in this hot weather.

My room is facing the inside and can't view the valley, but this doesn't affect our experience here.

We absolutely loved this beautiful and unique property. It was in the tiny hilltop town of Pienza overlooking gorgeous views of Tuscany. The rooms are situated around a courtyard and there is a pool and patio area with lovely views. We had a room with 2 queen bedrooms separated by a central bathroom. They were bigger than expected. We enjoyed dinner at the restaurant located in the property and a wonderful breakfast that was included with our room rate. The town of Pienza is gorgeous. There is a walkway around the perimeter with stunning views. You have to park outside the town and carry your luggage. We packed a small overnight bag so it was easier to carry and we walked from our parking spot. It was a fairly short walk, but someone with mobility issues would not find this an accommodating place to stay. We would love to come back someday!

Very central.. near all bars and restaurants. Very helpful staff. Reception was lovely. Breakfast perfect.

If you are driving, parking is fine, free in some areas, and easy to find if you follow your information from the hotel. We got a parking fine but only because we didn't know that rubbish collection was taking place that night...so make sure if you are parking overnight this won't affect you. The parking fine was approx €30 which we were able to pay at the post office.

The staff was excellent and friendly, accommodating last minute requests. The dinner was the best meal of the trip. Pici, a local pasta with pecorino cheese and shaved truffles, and the BEST sautéed spinach of my entire life! (I enjoy a lot of spinach at home and while traveling!) Also, the view from the dining tables was spectacular!

Not any complaints. I would say the breakfast was very good but not as great as others I have had throughout Italy.

Fantastic location. Beautiful setting. Comes into its own when sun is out. Very comfortable bed. Good bathroom. Breakfast outside is sublime. If you book, get a room that faces the valley.

Rooms a bit gloomy due to monastic architecture if not facing the valley. Breakfast inside is not ideal if not sunny. Overall breakfast set up is a bit shambolic. Quality is fine. Front desk service not brilliant.

Great location, magnificent view from the terrace when you have breakfast outside. we had a garden view but just can imagine the beauty of the rooms with the hills view.

The interior is ok having in mind the type of the building but just be aware that reality does not have that wow effect as pictures does. But would choose again, great value for money if you take breakfast.

An incredibly interesting and impressive building in the heart of Pienza’s historical center. Great, kind staff. Very big, comfortable room. Quiet and comfortable.

The hotel must have been astonishing thirty years ago, but now it could use a bit of investment. Will not be a problem for customers looking in this price range, though, as it’s still great value.

The Relais il Chiostro Di Pienza is a stunning, old building with charming character and amazing scenery. It is suited to couples but has a family feel too - such friendly staff. Peaceful and behind the scenes - everything runs like clockwork. We have visited since 2013 - we love Pienza and wouldn’t stay anywhere else!
