Extremely clean room. Whilst basic in terms of decor and space, it was well-specified with: phone charging points and reading lights at both sides of the bed; blackout blinds; small computer desk with good wi-fi; powerful shower; toiletries; storage space. There is a restaurant on site which caters for vegetarians as well as meat eaters, and serves an excellent buffet breakfast. The staff on reception were kind, friendly and helpful - in particular the young man who checked us in, who went above and beyond to make our stay a happy one, with recommendations of restaurants, bars and places to go. Free parking on site.

For a one night stopover, there is nothing I would have changed.

This hotel was a very nice surprise. The rooms and bathrooms seem to be brand new, are modern, spotless, quiet, comfortable and have all the amenities, including bedside reading lights, outlets and USB ports, and a couple of TV channels for non-French speakers. The staff are friendly and helpful, free onsite parking is plentiful and the breakfast was generous. The location right across the bridge from the historic town center was perfect for visiting Angers, though we chose to drive into the city, rather than walk. This hotel was an excellent value.

Clean, safe, a bit Spartan since it was originally a mother house for a Catholic order of nuns which has become accommodations open to the public. The reception was pleasant. Remember to reserve breakfast or dinner in advance. The extensive grounds behind the hostellerie were beautiful surprise. At least four acres of gardens. Free parking was excellent and secure since the gates to the entire facility are locked after 8:30.

Twin beds mattresses were quite firm.

Spacious triple room, very quiet at night. Easy parking, we arrived fairly late but a key was left for me at reception so it was easy. The site is quite remarkable, it was nice to wander around and walk in the garden.

It's not in the middle of town but we had a car anyway. It's a bit "institutional": the kids said it looked and smelt a bit like a school or a hospital. But for one night it was fine. Breakfast was a bit thin but better than nothing.

This is a peaceful and beautiful building. We think it is still a working convent but very discreetly occupied. There is a working chapel for worship if required. By offering hotel style rooms, we think the funds go towards their charity. The staff on reception are excellent, particularly Leah. The biggest bonus of this establishment is the parking is safe, free of charge and plentiful. The walk into the centre takes about 15 mins, crossing over one of 3 bridges. Breakfast was continental style and had everything you need to Star the day. We slept very soundly at night and our bed was very comfortable. The room was spotlessly clean. Great value all round!

As i understood, it was a hospital converted to a hotel. The good thing is that there is plenty of parking space, whereas the hotel is close to the centre. Modern decoration, very comfortable spaces i would definitely stay again.

Hotel was decent for a low cost category accommodation, without big defects. It would be good to use bleach to the toilet.

We booked two rooms for 3 nights and both were clean. The hotel is quiet with a lot of parking stalls. We were welcomed by friendly staff at the reception and received information relevant to our stay. The breakfast is delicious and the location is great. It's easy to get around. We'll certainly stay there again if we return to Angers.

There's nothing we did not like

Extensive and safe parking behind locked gates. Nice linen and comfy beds. Handy and quiet location. Very clear entry instructions as we arrived late.

Rather impersonal clinical feel. It's a very modern conversion of a large convent with lots of wide corridors. But as we arrived late we did not meet the warm staff that others mention. It's brilliantly set up with everything you need and in perfect condition.

Excellent hotel so close to the Angers Centre by foot. Room small but comfortable bed, copious breakfast for an extra 10 Euros..

I was on the top floor and unfortunately the room was very warm as it was a really balmy evening. There was a ventilator at our disposal and that did help.

We really enjoyed the location (close to city centre and Université Angers) and the cleanliness of the hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly! I would definitely recommend for people to stay in this hotel.

The only thing that we didn’t like about the property was that there was no kettle in the room .
