This is the property you would like to encounter anywhere you go. It has it all, nice wide green area with lovely pools and other facilities, very helpful and kind staff, tasty meals, affordable prices. It is located roughly halfway between the airport/entrance to the national park and Foz do Iguaçu city. It is ideal for national park visitors, business travelers, those who look for some fun around the pools and similar. Taxis are affordable and the city is close enough if someone wants to do some shopping or to make a hop over the border to Paraguay or Argentina. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, I have to mention two drawbacks and they are poor pool towels and useless fixed wall showers.

Swimming pools and gardens very nice.

As location is away from town, would of been good to have entertainment in the evening.

Spacious resort, even though it rained every day while we were there, we still didn't feel "closed in" ... the pool area was great, games room also, restaurant a little expensive but good food. Very green and oulooked over a forest area. Breakfasts were incredible... great variety of food, and very tasty. Entertainment staff did a good job. All staff were very friendly and happy to help.

Beds were rather firm for our liking. Air-conditioning was not functioning well, they came and changed a sensor but still did not cool the room adequately. However our son's room next door was fine in that regard.

The food. Outside of the buffet (which was fairly decent) the only options to eat were the sushi bar (only seafood) and the cafeteria downstairs. We ate at the cafeteria downstairs twice (with 3 people) and we all found our food to be pretty mediocre. The club sandwich wasn't a club sandwich, the bacon in the bacon burger was undercooked, and a few other options just fell short as well. We expected better quality food for a 5 star resort

We really enjoyed our 3night stay at Eco Cataratas, we wish we had a couple of days more just to enjoy all the facilities (adults and kids are truly spoilt for choice!). The staff across the whole resort is very helpful, the resort is immersed in nature but still adjacent to a main road giving access to all the main attractions of the area (the waterfalls Brasilian side are just 10' away, Argentinian side 40' depending on the traffic). You may find lovely activities to complement your stay within the same resort, at a reasonable extra cost (pic-nic, tours, hot-air balloon when available, ecc...). We were also given a couple of complimentary tickets to visit some nearby attractions. Highly recommended!

The quality of the dinner buffet can be improved. Some staff at reception may improve fluency in English. The main road is undergoing major infrastructural works at the moment, so taxi/cabs/car is the best and safest choice to move from/to the resort.

The property was big. It had a very nice large pool. Air conditioning was great throughout. Staff were attentive and very nice. Distance to the falls on the bBrazilian side was awesome

I was there two days went to falls on Brazillian side. The next day it rained all day so could not go to the Argentinian side. We were stuck in the resort which had very little to do. Lunch and dinner are buffet the food was ok. There is a Japanese restaurant did not go there. One pastry coffee area. There is not much around the resort. Restaurants limited so you are stuck in the resort. I was bored after two days. Stay max two days if you want to see both sides of the falls three in case it rains one of those days and you really want to see both sides.

We were so surprised by our stay here that we left disappointed we'd only had 1 night and wanted to stay longer. The room was good quality, big, comfortable and with excellent AC. The pool including a swim up bar was the ideal way to relax after a long hot day of travelling and exploring and is very close to the Falls. Breakfast was fantastic.

There are 2 buildings and we initially went to the wrong one to check-in. Despite being third in the queue we had to wait nearly half an hour to then be told we had to go to the other building to check-in which was a big waste of time.

Close to Iguazu and airport. Big variety for breakfast. Great pool

You can hear absolutely everything from other rooms and corridor. Very bad coffee in the morning. Alternatively you can buy from Nespresso. Prepare to wake up very early when everyone is leaving for their trips. Tourism agency inside the hotel is a scam and overpriced. We paid for a “private” transfer that we actually shared with a family of 8 that also paid private transfer. It’s a shame.

The hotel has fantastic staff, a great location, and a delicious breakfast. It has everything one needs for a great break. The staff was helpful and friendly. The location, in front of a new activities complex, is right in between the city centre and the Falls. Despite the good location, the place is quiet and relaxing.

The tipping situation was unclear. I usually don't withdraw cash abroad, so the tipping in several hotels is done through the bills. This wasn't the case. So when I tipped the kitchen staff toward the end, I wasn't sure it went to everyone.

The gastronomy for breakfast and dinner was amazing. The expansiveness, creativity, and taste of the high level spread of the buffets was incomparable. The pool tiles were squeaky clean. While there in winter, it's obvious that guests during summer enjoy lots of great activities.

Being tempted to try everything at the buffets:)
