pretty cozy apartment with the necessary facilities. love the wooden exterior and how it was decorated with festive lights. very interesting experience for someone who stays in a tropical country! saw the northern lights at a sighting spot which was 10 min walk away! such a surreal experience and plus point that we saw it for free haha 5 min walk to the main road where 3-4 eateries, safaris are located. around 10 min walk to the supermarket. good for those who are on a budget :)

- rubbish was not cleared and bed sheet wasn’t clean (i think housekeeping was not done after the previous group checked out) -walls are very thin, you can hear your neighbours very clearly. not really an issue for us as we’re heavy sleepers

Sauna excellent, breakfast excellent, well heated with outside temperatures-17°. Good access to winter trails and x-country ski runs. Good transport connections to airport and Rovanemi. Plenty of local facilities such as restaurants and supermarket.

Small lowdown window in room - no natural light or chance to look out. Bathroom and access to water via tight stairs, which became annoying over 3 days especially if needing bathroom during the night when half asleep.

Unfortunately, I couldn't have breakfast at the location but the host at the location mentioned that he had prepared Indian breads for breakfast. The property was clean.

The loft was too noisy. Literally felt like someone was right next to me speaking on phone all the time. Also, the shared bathroom thingy is mentioned somewhere else and not highlighted on the property listing. Easy to miss out this detail and after booking (on a non-refundable basis) , there was no way I could change my mind. The loft was too congested for 2, it felt a bit dungy. Also I had to walk for half km to get the keys as I checked in at 8pm. Pay a few extra bucks/similar price a few weeks ahead and you would get a better room in that locality.

Nice room and location is very good since it’s surrounded by nature. Breakfast was good and with a lot of choice

Reception is a bit far away (10 minutes walk) and it was impossible to communicate in booking because they never answer

The sauna was great. But that's it.

The walls are very thin. You can hear everything from your neighbours next door and especially downstairs. We had loud neighbours (one with a small kid, the others with loud music). You have only short private slots (30 or 60 minutes) for the sauna, because it's a shared sauna. It's a very small (but long) room. Unlike on some pictures, the beds are separated, so one is on one side of the room, the other on the other side. There is only one shared bathroom downstairs. A place to cook would be great. We had our difficulties with closing and open the door, but this applies also to other cottages in Finland. The breakfast is in a small cafe at the main building at the beginning of the village and was very basic. We would choose another apartment next time. The price was too high for what you get.
