All round excellent

Due to location Taxis booked at the reception came from central Budapest. As an example we travelled 10kms to a nearby small town (approx seven minutes in the taxi). We paid 45 euros for this journey. The receptionist explained that as part of our fare we were paying as if we had travelled FROM the City Centre. Please be aware of this. Why there is no local taxi service I do not know and no explanation was forthcoming when it was raised with the Hotel.

A hotel for a relaxed, short stay in a very small village in Hungary. The area is very green. The hotel offers a spa alongside various entertainment including bowling and billiard (for an extra fee).

There is nothing to do in Herceghalom outside of the hotel, and public transport connectivity to visit other towns and villages nearby is limited. Breakfast and dinners are rather basic and are offered in a very crowded, in-door area. The availability of snacks from the bar is dependent on the capacity of the restaurant's kitchen, so is not guaranteed.

We went for the wellness area and were not disappointed. The outdoor sauna house was especially great. Having a dip in the outdoor pool (which I suppose will be let down for the autumn/winter) was excellent. The food was decent, we took the half-board option and weren't disappointed. We got lucky with the playroom area: though the official Halloween events had been over by the time we arrived, the children's corner was still available. It was removed just around the time we were leaving the hotel on Sunday afternoon. The saunas and steam are fine, the swimming pool fairly long (25m), though somewhat narrow.

For a 4yo, the spa area was somewhat less exciting. We could have done with one more, ever so small, pool for kids. Also, Saturday afternoon was much too crowded; the spa area (especially as we had the impression locals would also frequent the place on a day ticket) is way too small for a large hotel like this. The jacuzzi was monopolized by a handful of guests for the best part of the afternoon/evening. The shampoo dispenser in the bathroom was broken or empty. Without the temporary children's playroom in front of the conference rooms, our stay would have been far less enjoyable with a 4yo.

We have been coming to this hotel for a number of years now and have always been satisfied with our stay. The rooms are clean. The beds are very comfortable and the staff are very polite. The breakfast included in the price is very good and there are many things to choose from. If we don't go out to Budapest in the evening, we usually eat dinner at the hotel. It is a buffet-style dinner, reasonably priced and with a good variety.The swimming pool gives an additional opportunity to relax.

The floor of the shower is very slippery! The mini fridge in both rooms did not work at all.

One of the best value for money accommodation I stayed in the last years. I also recommend the spa & Pool. The food is very good and the breakfast (included in the price) is fantastic (one of the most variate and good quality breakfast ever) I really recommend for small & big groups, especially if you want a quiet and fully equipped place not so far from Budapest.

Even is not so far from Budapest (45 min.)/ Hungaroring (50 min.) you better come by car... This is the only downside, but the services and the staff overcome this "little" inconvenient and I think that transfer to Budapest/airport could be arranged.

Food, service, friendly staff, helped me time the engagement with my GF there, had a champagne, and a bouquet in the room (Flowers from the local flower shop, they were for a tiny price) Drink tho was free, they had made a romantic mood to the room knowing the purpse, was a great help too! Clean rooms, Good food, Good wellness and spa, cheerful staff outside the welness, room serivce is top tier. Profonsal staff. Helpfull staff. (With out all of your help, the plan would not have have been that splinted!) Thank you for the help, and for getting me the worlds most amazing wife to be, we look forward to a honimoon back at the hotel too! If you plan to get on the knee and get the woman or man of your dreams, this is for sure your hotel. Don´t forget to vist the flower store run by the ol lady in that case, the flowers is a key!

Booking tells me to write here, so here we go, nothing, nothing, more nothing. Well no hot coco in the Hotel for order (is at morning buffet tho so drink up!) Please at it to the bar too! :) Guess something more the area itslef, only one atm, close to post office (FLower store don´t take card.) But a nice ol kind lady there run the store, thank you to her too for selling amazing pretty flowers.)

We had a great stay. We chose this place because of the on-site restaurant availability, as we were planning on arriving late. The dinner was great, and so was breakfast. The hotel has a great vibe. Unfortunately we didn't get to use the spa during our short stay. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were great. They even prepared a baby bath tub, in addition to the cot for our son.

All was good, but it would have been nice to have a few more amenities in the bathroom, like cotton pads and cotton swabs, and perhaps body cream. Other than this tiny recommdation all was great.

We had a one-night stay at the Abacus hotel, and it was such a relaxing one. The staff was so nice and accommodating and they went out of their way to host us after a long drive. The room was very spacious, quiet and it smelled so nice. The bed was very comfortable, and we had a good rest. The room had a lovely balcony overlooking the park and the pool. The food was delicious, and they offered very nice selection. The wellness area is really great and very clean. The hotel offers different amenities that we didn't have time to check. We definitely recommend this property and would love to come back.

We really do not have anything to complain about. It would be nice if the check out time is at least half an hour after the breakfast time ends, especially on a weekends.

I had the best sleep in years. Well conditioned completely quiet room with full darkening possibilities after 30 min of swim and 3 rounds of profi sauna I couldn't wake up in time for my business appointment. But it definitely worth it :o)

I would really appreciate the possibility to go swim in early morning as wellness part with pool opens at 8 am what is little too late for swimming before breakfast. That would make my stay in Abacus hotel completely perfect.
