Not huge, but very good quality and healthy breakfast. Rooms are modern, surroundings very well maintained; beautiful garden. Pool is of good size and water temperature is pleasant. Location is close to nature, but you can be in the city in 15-20 minutes. Very quiet.

Pool area got quite crowded on a hot Friday afternoon. I also think it's not good practice that hotel guests can't participate in the sauna rituals (and can't use the sauna at all!) on Friday/Saturday/Sunday. The nearby parking lot tends to attract loud bikers and the like on a Friday or Saturday night - but there is not much the hotel can do about that.

Hotel is immersed in a peaceful green sitting in the Normafa hill area above the city centre,which is easily reached by public transport in 30mins. Huge jacuzzi, pool, sauna, Room big, super clean, well thought out and with a nice balcony overlooking the jacuzzi area. Hotel grounds well maintained and full of flowers. Staff very nice and helpful. Nice and varied breakfast but note that it's all vegan.

Only one little thing. The last day after checking out we asked if we could pay to have lunch at their restaurant and spend a few hours near the pool because our flight was in the evening. We were asked to pay another €100 for that. While I understand that if we wanted to use the facilities we should pay something, after paying over €440 for a 2 night stay it would have been nice to be offered a discount, but it was refused and we had to pay the full day rate which non-residents are charged.

I like the atmosphere and the calming, all inclusive nature of the location. It was very relaxing and a stress relieving experience. Flat screen smart TV also a great source of entertainment to wind down at the end of the day.

The bathroom in the room was considerably small (hard to move around as the door is in the way small) and the "queen" bed was made up of two parts which very easily moved apart making the gap large and the bed fairly uncomfortable when this happened. Expected better than that for the price and the quality of the rest of the facilities.

The spacious room, the staff were kind and the breakfast was delicious. The fact that is not in the city center, it's quite convenient to get there by car; the parking was free which was really nice; the view and the calm neighbourhood were great points. The view on the garden and the pool were great and were also offered a spa session if we wanted to.

The accoustics in the room were really not ideal as we could hear everything from the other room beside our room, when the TV was on; the mutual wall had both our TV set and the other TV set so there was a cacaphony for both rooms, which was honestly unpleasant. The wifi range was average but it is just a small detail.

The hotel was recently (re)opened, thus everything is brand new. The rooms have everything one needs, including welcome apples and protein bars, as well as mineral water (tap water in Budapest doesn't taste great). Breakfast is good; first time I see not only scrambled eggs but omelette with ham and cheese, ready to be taken from a buffet. The selection isn't huge but well chosen, IMO. The only thing that doesn't match the quality of everything else is the bowl of pineapple - which are canned and not fresh. The spa is very modern and inviting. Location was perfect for me, but travellers should know that it takes about half an hour or more to get to the city centre from the hotel. In exchange, you have quiet nights and can take a walk or a run in the forest right at your doorstep.

The check-in was a bit clumsy. At one counter a lady was busy checking a couple in, so I went up to the other counter (at the same reception desk). The gentleman there politely told me that he is the security guard. Fine - but why have someone stand at one of two counters if he is not meant to be there? I don't think I'd be the only one to mistake him for a receptionist... Apart from this, nothing to fault!

The location is exceptionally welt kept and high maintenence is at its place. Spotless clean especially the white bathrooms. The jacuzzi and sauna are fantastic. Would enjoy coming here for a full relaxing week. Extra points for the entrance and parking lot with access only through automatic secure doors.

A bit pricey, but worth it. The breakfast could use some improvements.

Stayed two nights during ‘soft opening’ of the rebuilt Hotel Normafa in Buda Hills, 20 minutes by bus from downtown (also parking available) located near Normafa Childrens’ Railway, lookouts and many walking trails. More an adult hotel with full spa, sauna, jacuzzi and pool all year round, with friendly service. Stayed in Standard Queen Room, first floor, facing garden and pool (on front or entrance side rooms have balconies), quiet due to carpeted floor (as are the hallways), comfortable bed, mini fridge, flat screen tv (inc. YouTube, mirroring and browser), aircon fine, can open windows, curtains can black out light, kettle, water etc., can keep charging devices when outside of room (electricity stays on) and robe plus slippers for spa pool area (think room service is coming soon). Breakfast was very good, many light and healthy options from fresh orange juice, beetroot & green detox juices, standard hot fair inc. omelettes, mushrooms, bacon etc.; Bircher muesli, fruits, a variety of breads, cold cuts and of course coffee and teas. Same dining area (roof at front can open too), terrace and lounge area can also be used during the day while the restaurant & bar runs from 12.00-21.00 with e.g. wine by the glass from EUR2.50 and a menu focusing on light and healthy Hungarian, European and some Asian cuisine. Soups, starters, main courses and desserts with main courses EUR 15-30 includes vegetarian choices; one had roast corn chicken dish with fruit pudding and following evening green salad and breaded cricket with a generous portion of sweet potato chips or wedges, with a couple of glasses of local wine. When fully open, appears there will be a closed (heated) and open grill area out the back, and an enclosed entertainment dome out the front, for all year round.

Free Wifi could have been better, patchy or weak at times.

This hotel and the experience I had in this very unique place it was super amaizing, warm, welcoming and the bed was something..sensational, after 14 hours of driving I couldn't have slept better anywhere else. We enjoyed the spa, yoga and carefully chosen food for a healthy and balanced lifestyle. The very nice, clean rooms and the friendly staff made our stay here a dream come true. All the days spent here were a teleportation to heaven. we couldn't wait to come back.

The Normafa Hotel is very elegant, has excellent facilities, very friendly and helpful and professional staff. The rooms are beautifully decorated, everything has an upmarket feel including thick plush carpet, air conditioning, second to none spa & wellness facilities, and the breakfast is superb. A wide variety of fabulous cafe style food, freshly prepared , including freshly squeezed Health juices and excellent coffees make for a fantastic start to one’s day. A bus stop is very close by and one can get back to the hotel any time of the day & night every 10 min. The night bus goes every hour. I can only highly recommend the Normafa Hotel and I am looking forward to my next visit.

The Hotel is situated in an outside district. Secured by fence and trees and plants. Even Taxi must wait and pass entrance-door. Check-in quickly, spacy room in first floor. Very quiet, A/C available, mosquito-protection when window is open. Big balcony direction to garden and parking-place. Bath with very big shower, all looks brand-new. refrigerator for own drinks. Breakfast good; I enjoy it. Dinner also very okay. Who wants to eat outside: Small italian restaurant with nice food and prices in 1o min walk - ask reception. In front of Hotel bus-stop for 3 lines - you reach center easy in 20 min. Parling-places inside for those who come by car. Hotel has nice swimming-pool and places to lay down and relax. Even good whirl-pool. Hote-Slipper and bath-coat in the room for free use. Free towels waiting on the pool.... - Really worth the price!

Hmmm, that means complaining on high level. Coffee-automat for breakfast is old and produces only a littel warm and not a hot coffee. But that was really just a small point.
