- Location was great, it was central & very close to town. - Staff were super friendly & always saying hello when passing by. - Parking was always easy & there was plenty of space. - Enjoyed how opened Tanoa was when bringing in island food from our local family when visiting & were always welcoming.

- Cleaning wasn’t always shot on & new towels weren’t provided daily when room was serviced & very limited. - With newer hotels/ resorts opening around Samoa, Tanoa needs some upgrading especially with their bathrooms. We Hotel hopped as we wanted to try all the new hotels in Apia for future planning & I’ll have to say Tanoa’s bathrooms & room cleaning were disappointing during my stay. - Mosquitoes were everywhere, even in the bedrooms at night. It really frustrated me on my stay. (Buy fly spray). - Lunch/ Dinner menu was very limited, felt Tanoa didn’t provide options for dinner as the menu was standard. - Overall just my little feedback, my family did enjoy our stay as we felt welcomed but just those room critics I wanted to share.

Facilities, cleanliness, location and good service.

Being asked to pay cash upfront for the room booked on booking.com and wouldn’t take my local card for payment neither! Later the bar staff tried to make us pay cash when our cc was given to the front office for any further purchases. When questioned the staff in charge then moved to call reception to check and said it was ok which should’ve been done without us customers having to press the issue!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS HOTEL!! WORTH EVERY CENT! THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS AMAZING, THE HOTLE ROOM WAS SPACIOUS, AIRCON, OUR ROOM WAS CLEANED EVERY MORNING WITH OUT FAIL. THE BED WAS SOO COMFORMATBLE. I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND THIS HOTEL FOR BIG FAMILIES. THE BREAKFAST BUFFET IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST BREAKFAST BUFFET IN TOWN, THE MENU WAS DIFFERENT EACH DAY. AND THEY ALSO HAD ALOT OF CEREAL VERIETY FOR OOUR CHILDREN.

The vanila cake on the breakfast buffet menu, seemed like it was old,they had that same cake on the menu the 4 days we were there. we would have apprecited a email or some form of communication advising hotle guest to not be worried about all the policemen in the hotel.. we were sent a article from family back home worried as there was a deceased pilate found in one of the rooms during our stay there. nothing was communicated to us, would have appreciated a heads up as we had children around.

Great place except for below.

We are both old and partially disabled. Three years ago we suggested to management that the pool was deficient in not having a handrail to hold on to in accessing/exiting the pool. We saw it as a H&S requirement. Management agreed that a handrail was desirable and said it would be done. We were prepared to wait on the understanding that these things don't happen overnight but this time we noticed the pool had been refurbished (new tiles) but still no handrail. No good enough. We don't feel safe. Regretfully we now have no option but to go down the road to Lava where they do have a handrail. Install a handrail and we will be back but not until then.

I stayed for 12 nights. By the end the friendly Mercy and I were besties. I asked for a quiet room when I booked booking.com and they gave a room that faced over the back garden and away from all the action. This was a god send. The restaurant is not bad value for money and there are a few nice eating spots within a short walk from the hotel. Its in a quiet part of town and I enjoyed walking to the end of the "peninsula" in the evenings - before and after sunset. Breakfasts were decent, the filter coffee was ok (good enough, but not amazeballs). I would give it 8.5 rating (this site only lets me give 8 or 9 and 9 is too high)- comfortable, but not cheap... but definitely cheaper than other similar options.

The staff at Tanoa Tusitala Hotel made our stay exceptional with their warm hospitality and attentiveness. Traveling as a family of five, including two children and an elderly adult, we initially faced accessibility issues with upstairs rooms. Despite high occupancy, the team promptly accommodated us with two spacious ground-floor rooms, ensuring comfort for all. The room comfortably housed four of us without feeling cramped. We enjoyed the good food and drinks, and the pool became a daily retreat. The buffet breakfast offered an impressive variety, and live bands on Friday and Sunday nights provided a delightful evening ambiance, enhanced by sipping on fresh coconut or a cocktail. The hotel’s central location, within walking distance to Apia’s central business district and major tourist spots, made shopping and sightseeing convenient .

photos are accurate, nice quality facilities and location - staff are all great, the company should pay them better since they charge us tourists so much to stay there yet their staff earn under $5.00 an hour, that’s so unfair

learning how much the overseas owners profit from this motel while the local staff earn minimal income. they are the best thing about the motel, yet from what we learnt staying there are the least valued by management and owners - that’s just not on

I like the location and the hotel setup: low-rise buildings, green, and quiet.

Compared to hotels in other countries at a similar price point, this one feels quite expensive—though given the location, that’s understandable. I was disappointed to find that even the morning coffee during breakfast came at an extra cost. The room was very basic, with no amenities like slippers, a toothbrush, or toiletries, and only two 0.5L bottles of water in the fridge. The Wi-Fi was quite slow, so I ended up using my own SIM card. There's also no airport shuttle, so transfers need to be arranged separately.

The rooms were spacious and gave enough space for us to stay comfortably in. Everything on the property was easily accessible and the service was amazing.

The tvs weren’t connected to wifi so we were unable to cast to it. Because it had no connection we couldn’t access Netflix, YouTube etc. so only had access to the channels that were available on the tv. Also the wifi itself was difficult to connect to and was slow once you did finally connect - we resorted to using our own data as that was faster.

Excellent friendly and welcoming staff, rooms were a good size, restaurant was pretty good, the Wednesday Fia Fia show was a lot of fun, beautiful gardens within the hotel grounds

breakfast was somewhat limited, mosquitoes in restaurant area - probably due to rainy season, gym was dated - although had the basics, bike, run machine and some weights, the pool was a good size, however was under repair for the last few days
