Food (diner and breakfast) were really great. Diner - great range of dishes excellently food, really tasty. Breakfast - wonderfully fresh and varied food. Can’t recommend it enough. They also were very helpful in providing secure parking for car and boat.

Hotel zur Pfalz is a very good hotel, helpful staff. on-site parking. The only issue I had was that the restauant was closed for 2 nights. This meant we had to go out to find somewhere to eat. Not what I wanted to be doing after a long drive. I have stayed here before and the restaurant is excellent normally. I should have been warned when booking that is was closed.

Lack of water, there was one small bottle in my room on day one, but that didn’t get replaced and I couldn’t find any in reception or the local shops. I feel water should be freely available.

It was easy to reach and in a nice spot in Kandel. The food, both dinner and breakfast were amazing, the breakfast buffet was very impressive. The staff was super kind and helpful!

Personally, I'm not a fan of the thin pillows that were in the room. I didn't think to ask if they had thicker pillows, so perhaps they were available, but I can't say.

The staff was very friendly. Also willing to accommodate extra wishes. The room was clean. The breakfast had very good variety available and is reasonably priced.

No heater on which to hang towels in bathroom. Generally not enough space to hang towels in bathroom. No shutters on the window, just curtains. Only minor issues, but in general would expect a little more comfort for the price - or a lower price...

Perfect hotel for stop over .very close to A8 motorway . Every aspect of our stay was perfect. Would recommend to anyone looking for a first class hotel to or return on the journey.

We loved hanging out at the spa...sauna, pool, relaxation chairs. It was so nice. Breakfast was delicious, definitely worth the additional cost (not much). Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and updated.

A little air conditioning would've been nice.
