Good quality hotel, clean. Very pleasant experience.

Staff on reception like robots, lack of hospitality. I came with daughter around 13:30-13:45, asking for check in a bit earlier, cos I was running to a meeting. The lady said that she can do it in 15 min, but can’t now, cos it’s too early and she is busy. It was no one in the hall, only us. As result, I went to the meeting, left my daughter near reception and she stayed there for 2.5 hours waiting for me back to check in, tired after train. Very unprofessional behaviour as for hospitality staff. I stayed in 6 hotels during a week, nobody behaved so formally.

The hotel is relatively NEW and benefits from the latest developments in hotel design and practice (there is a robot assistant to help staff who clear the tables, saving them the journey into the area where used crockery and cutlery is cleaned!). Situated alongside the hauptbahnhof, the distance to the hotel is level and doesn't warrant a taxi ride unless travellers have particularly heavy suitcases with them. Staff were helpful, efficient and unobtrusive. I stay in Intercity hotels when I am travelling in Germany provided the cost is not excessive; this ranks as one of the best and is highly recommended.

This is the first time I stayed at an Intercity Hotel. Given that I see these hotels very close to train stations in Germany, I always thought it had some connection with the German ICE trains. Hence I didn't expect much. But somehow these hotels are fancy! I especially liked the design choices. The bathroom was sleek. It made good use of space, like using the empty space beneath the sink as a receptacle for hand tissues. I also liked the gravity-driven sliding door, which eventually closes when you leave them half open. Or the design of the toilet paper holder, as if it's built in the wall and it's a trick to put a new roll of toilet paper on it. The breakfast selection was legit, and had something for everyone. And yes, it's clean, the staff was professional, the interior design was modern and swanky, and it is very close to the train station.

Nothing - I liked everything.

Clean, nice rooms, friendly staff. It was great that we got interconnected rooms for the children, which we had requested in advance. We enjoyed our stay here.

I wish they replenished coffee, tea and sugar packets every day. Good cleaning of the room every day would have helped, as we had children with us. Since we don't speak German (we speak English), communication with the cleaning staff was challenging.

The room and the hotel were absolutely perfect for my visit to Karlsruhe. Breakfast was exceptional, and the location couldn't be better. The staff were helpful to a fault, and they even helped me with my German!

The laundry service has had some growing pains, and it took an extra day to complete my order. This did not adversely affect my visit, and the staff were very good about explaining the situation. I'm sure it has all been fixed.

Excellent location Beautiful and clean decor Friendly staff

I'm not a fan of the innerspring mattress and find a foam mattress more comfortable (Personal preference) And the TV satellite reception was a huge disappointment. We could basically watch TV for only 2 days while we were there (Booked for 8 days). We were surprised that they could not sort out the problem sooner.

We also stayed at IntercityHotel Karlsruhe, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The modern design, spotless cleanliness, and friendly staff created a very pleasant atmosphere. What we especially loved was the convenience — right next to the train station, yet surprisingly quiet and relaxing. A fantastic choice for anyone visiting Karlsruhe!

Excellent location. Literally next to the main train station and a lot of trams. My room was very quiet. I am light sleeper and I was a bit worried that being so close to the train station it would be noisy but that wasn't the case. Even though my room was facing the tracks I couldn't hear anything. Very good soundproofing. The room was nice and clean, the beds were comfortable. The staff was nice and friendly.

The price/quality ratio of the breakfast. In my opinion it was too expensive. Less than a week before that I had had similar one in Vienna for half the price.

So close to the train station and other public transport, yet so very quiet. Comfortable bed. Clean, tidy, modern. Felt new. Friendly staff. Any minor problems were resolved promptly.

Minor problems of empty container of body wash in the shower, flat safe (lockbox) battery, and no towels left in the room on the second day. All of these issues were resolved quickly by the friendly, obliging staff. There were no other problems.

I haven’t had big expectations from a chain Hotel, but overall experience was great. Room is comfortable and nicely made. Comfortable bed, great shower and small details that make the stay great. We travelled with 1,5 year old and she got her baby bed with cute sheets, pillow and blanket which she loved. Hotel also accepted our dog. All in all great experience. Employees were great and very friendly.
