Very nice area, calm and very beautiful. The hotel is within short walking distance from the city but a long walk from the beach and Castel Gandolfo is hilly and not so nice to walk in when you are outside the city center. Breakfast at the hotel is great, just ask for the yoghurt and they have them ;-) We got two rooms door-to-door which was very good for us.

The staff is helpful but short, we had huge problems to find taxi in the city and then the staff could be more helpful. Walking in Castel Gandolfo with two kids isn't easy, we needed the taxi. The cleaning in the room wasn't the best when we came, could be improved.

We booked a room with a lake view. It was one of the best parts of our trip to Rome. At some point I just wanted to stay in the room and admire the view. The staff were nice and quickly sorted a room mistake when they gave us a double bed instead of twin beds. Everyone spoke English and welcomed us. The hotel building is beautiful and so is the surrounding area. I will make sure to return one day. Everything was spotless, one of the most clean hotels I have seen.

The only problem we had with our stay is that we asked for no room service (we only stayed for 2 nights) and they did it anyway and moved some of our personal belongings around, including things we left in the bathroom.

The town is perched on a hilltop , overlooking the picturesque lake albano . The hotel is on the same ridge benefitting the view and tranquility. I love hotels that were "done once, done well" even though the design is dated , it exudes quality. Marvellous breakfast.

I was there on the 21st April 2025, my birthday , sadly , I'll always remember it for the passing away of the Pontiff.

Lovely hill-top location with superb views across the lake. Lovely view from room. Furnishings were in a grand style, classic Italian. The roof top pool was cold and not very long but very refreshing with beautiful views from the terrace. The bar area was comfortable and a nice place to hangout.

Very compact shower cubicle. The footpaths from the Hotel into town were very narrow and keep switching from one side of the road to the other.

The hotel has an excellent location overlooking lake Albano Good breakfast with personal attention from dedicated staff and ourstanding coffee Good sized room

A larger bed would have been much more comfortable I paid extra for lake view, which was given only marginally since the room was in a lower level of the hotel, so trees impeded the view

Absolutely perfect, quite, picturesque place. On the hill, overseeing the Albano lake. Clean, very friendly people, high standard of service. I am travelling 100 nights a year for over 20 years. One of the places I strongly recommend

The balcony that connected our rooms, the size of the rooms, and the stunning views.We thoroughly enjoyed the elegance of the hotel, our balconies that expanded our space and allowed us to easily gather together privately, the staff was incredibly helpful and kind and took care of all our needs, and the views were stunning.

Shower was on the small side.

Beautiful hotel, with gorgeous lake views, and a pool with lounge chairs. Excellent breakfast, free parking and professional staff. Steps from the historical centre of Castel Gandolfo.

The view from the room and the breakfast terrace is amazing

The choice in breakfast is average (better than most Italian hotels, but poor choice on European standards). Also the swimming pool exists but it needs a better clean and space some love to make it more inviting

The location is absolutely stunning and the locals were so friendly and helpful in helping us get from the train station to the hotel. The staff at the hotel were all friendly and welcoming and we got some great restaurant suggestions in the nearby town centre. The room was clean and well kept. We missed breakfast as we had an early train to catch but we’re already looking at booking for next year for a longer time as one night wasn’t enough!
