Amazing breakfast was served by the kindest and most friendly staff members, that were always there to help us make our experience at its most. The location of the hotel is as good as it can be at the village of Monodendri, which gives you easy access to the rest of the villages and activities all around Zagorochoria. The rooms exceeded our expectations in terms of cleanliness and size. We will definitely bisit again in the future. MounTrace hotel will be a go to place for us from now on. Thank you!

The hotel didnt provide dinner or launch at all(only breakfast) but that wasnt really a problem as small taverns with delicious traditional food were located in very close walking distances around the hotel.

Beautiful location and rooms. Multiple hiking trails and a couple restaurants available right from walking out your door. Walking downhill to Vitsa to some of the other restaurants can be dangerous at night as there are no street lamps (so driving is recommended even though getting back into the parking lot is… difficult 🤣). The breakfast was fantastic and the staff was very accommodating.

The parking for the hotel is very difficult. It is up a historic track that is very tight, anything larger than compact cars will have a bit of difficulty.

When you pull into the parking lot, we were immediately helped and cordially greeted by Ioannis, the friendly owner. [One word about parking: Yes, a 4x4 is an advantage when you want to park directly in front of the door, but we have seen a young lady in a Smart do it, so don’t worry.] From the reception to the check-in process and all the valuable information on the hotel, its facilities and the surroundings, arriving really feels like coming to the place of good friends or family members. The lobby already radiates the warm, noble atmosphere of an elegant castle that we also found in the spacious suite. The interior decorating of the whole place was done with pristine quality material, a fine melange of marble, wood, and Zagoria stone, and a very tasteful eye for detail. The bathroom has wonderful facilities, excellent water pressure and quality as well as high-end care products. The bed is comfy and wide, the plentiful windows provide for great views of the landscape. The feeling of staying with friends is constantly nurtured by the exceptionally cordial and helpful staff. This starts with us being served breakfast on the terrace: Finally, no lukewarm buffet, but freshly cooked, Greek breakfast dishes prepared a la minute. By far the best breakfast we have experienced over the last three weeks travelling the country! The team goes the extra mile: For our early start to hike through Vikos gorge, they got out of bed early, too, to have fresh lunch boxes ready for us! The Spa area is just perfect for relaxing after a day’s hike, but bear in mind, we are in Zagoria, so do expect a two-person sauna. But one that is turned into a scented paradise, totally private, and illuminated just for you by 30+ small candles. That’s why make sure to book your slot book your slot a few hours before. In a nutshell, a cosy luxurious hideaway in the mountains, illuminated by a truly caring team and a spirit of real hospitality!

We liked everything about our stay at MountGrace. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious with a superb view of the mountains. The tips for restaurants in the neighbourhood were great. The best part was however the breakfast. It is served to your table and it is very generous. Everything is home made and just excellent. We stayed here to do the hike through the Vikos gorge and it is very convenient as you can just start from the village square which is 100 meters from the hotel.

The only point which could be improved is the parking. The way to the hotel is very steep and narrow and our rental car was struggling getting up there. Not sure whether there is an easier way to park around the hotel though as you are in the mountains and roads are steep.

Stunning property and I can not say enough good things about the hosts. My husband and I ran into a problem and the hostess went above and beyond to help us out and make our stay comfortable. And stress free. I have never in all our travels experienced that high a level of customer service. We actually stayed two nights separated by an overnight in Papingo. Breakfasts were amazing with a range of great local foods including a rice pudding to die for! Thanks.

Very kind and welcoming staff in a good location in Monodendri. The room was quite big with good natural light in the morning. Good comfortable bed, a big desk, a fireplace, a small living room and a rather small TV for the distance

The lights for the night were just enough with no center light to lit up the entire room. Breakfast needs to be revised as it has many options but practically all of them sweet beside an omelet which is not good for starting your day

The location is fantastic if you are looking to explore/hike the Vikos Gorge area. The hotel is beautiful and is located just a very short walk from the center of Monodendri. We had a suite with a balcony and it was superb -- it had two levels, one for bedroom/bath the other for sitting room and balcony. The furnishings and decorations were very nice. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. Waking up to the sound of the goat/cow bells each morning was so peaceful (open your windows in the morning!). All of the staff were very professional and helpful.

I think I have never treated so good in a hotel so far. I would say we have even been spoiled! Management and staff was taking care of us all the team to the detail. The room was astonished and all the hotel itself. Perfect views and perfect vibes. The beautiful breakfast while listing the birds and the nature was priceless. We do thank to all of you for these amazing days which we would love to repeat again.

Sat high up in Monodendri with a gorgeous view over the hills, we were treated to a spectacular hotel designed and owned by Gkontos Ionnis. His attention to micro detail is everywhere. Everywhere we cast our eyes was another best-in-class decision, whether the super comfortable lounge wing chairs, the Ralf Lauren "tartan" curtains, to our choice of breakfast, plated and delivered either inside or on the balcony. Then the hot rooms suite and our luxurious excellent oversize bedroom (with a corner log fire - out of season!). Also, a mention for Leftens, our friendly barman, breakfast host and just a real nice guy. Wishing you all the best in your career. Close walking distance via the historic paths/"horizontal" stairs to the village. There was an excellent range of coffees and restaurants, each with their own special charms. Among others, we drove to the Stone Forest and the Holy Monastery of Saint Paraskevi (one of 6 potential sites).

4 days wasn't enough.

Spacious room, which was clean and well presented. The bed was especially comfortable. Welcoming staff and very personal service as we were the only guests! Breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared. Beautiful views from the patio area and the whole property was well maintained. I'd be happy to stay again when next visiting the area
