Very inexpensive, especially when you consider all-you-can-eat breakfast and dinner. The food is very good and there’s a wide assortment of choices. A nice rotemburo. There’s a game center, although I didn’t use it. Also, free bikes to use. The room is spacious. A good location, about a 10 min. walk from the train and bus station.

The room was a little worn. Rather noisy; sound carries easily from hallway and upstairs.

The all-you-can-eat (and drink) buffets for breakfast and dinner were wonderful. I stayed four nights and I still didn’t get around to trying everything. The room was a very spacious 12-mat room with all the comforts I needed and a lovely view of the mountains. Incredible bargain for the money, especially when you include all the food. The onsen was very welcome, and I highly recommend using the fantastic rotemburo. It was only a short walk (less than 10 minutes) to the train and bus station. It was very quiet there. I never had to wear earplugs to get to sleep like I do other places. Even though there were a lot of people there, everyone was respectful and the whole place had a nice relaxed feel to it. It makes a great base for exploring so much of the Izu Peninsula, and I can’t wait to go back again.

There doesn’t seem to be much English spoken by the staff, so that could be a problem if you don’t speak any Japanese. However, most of the signs and instructions were in English as well as Japanese.

The location is very good ,its near enough to the station and the port and gardens .The free bicycle rental is a bonus as you need one to get around .The staff were very helpful and spoke english very well .The buffet dinner was great ,especially the beer

A real full English style breakfast would have been heaven , but this is japan so no worries

Convenient to access from the station, electric bicycle use, can enjoy table tennis and karaoke for leisure, ocean view room, dinner and breakfast buffet. The best part about our stay at the hotel was Emura san at the front desk who checked us in. One of the most friendliest, courteous, and helpful staff I have ever seen! Thank you Emura san!

Good location to town. Great onsen and good food at the buffet for breakfast and dinner. Friendly staff. Bicycles available for us, though we didn't use them.

Work was being done around our room from 9:00 to 17:00. Constant banging. Presumably, that will stop when the repair work is finished. Although hot water and green tea bags are in the room, no tea pot was available to make tea in.

Location was very good and central in Shimoda. It was within easy walking distance to most places. Ample parking lots at no charge. The breakfast and dinner were good and filling. The customer service was outstanding.

Kindly provide English description of the dishes and kindly include more vegetarian meals in the menu or else provide special discounts because only 5% of the total items in the buffet are veg.

Breakfast was very good and dinner with all you can drink including alcoholic drinks.

Hotel was in a good location. Public bath (onsen) was nice. Hotel has a lot of facilities which was very convenience (e.g. laundry, onsen). Hotel is near to the restaurants.

it is located close to the station and near places to eat. There are electronically assisted bicycles you can rent for free which is very nice when exploring the nearby area, I recommend availing of this as it’s nicer than going on foot. staff were very helpful. the ocean view was really nice. Hot bath was also good and it has an outdoor bath as well.
