Very kind and friendly host, with a handsome dog who wears a bell on his collar! I call him "Ling Ling" because that's the sound I heard whenever he was around. Great location as it is at the town centre close to the Kanchanaburi Train Station bu just walking. Close to supermarkets too. Host has a friendly dog which even makes it better. Do be aware that cash is preferable for payment.

Facilities wise, it is a bit old, like the shower head mount, it was already coming off, and the bathroom door, it's all old and wooden, so the bathroom lock was a bit flimsy as well, but it should not matter much if you and your roommates are ok with it. Also, the room is mostly wooden and our room was situated at the top floor, opposite of kitchen, so each time, if someone cooks in the kitchen, the smell may seep into our rooms while we were sleeping so that could be distracting

I am a solo traveller visiting Kanchanaburi for the first time to experience the ANZAC Day service at Hellfire Pass. I decided to book a three-night stay at Siam Guesthouse. When I arrived, I knew I had made the best decision to stay here. The location was perfect to visit all the historical places, the bridge is 2km walk and if you are into nightlife then is 10 mins away. The room and the bathroom were clean, free coffee and tea were provided, and fruits were available upon arrival. If you liked a peaceful and quiet atmosphere, the place had all you needed, and it was right in the middle of all the necessities. The best part of the stay, as this is a family-run business, was Nung and his mother, who were very helpful and ensured that their guests were looked after. They can organise and advise if you want to arrange tours at reasonable prices. If you love animals, you will meet Harley, a beautiful one-year-old. The place had a lot of birds, and there were also fish. Vegan/Vegetarian Travellers—Nung suggested On's Thai Issan, which has reasonable, yummy food with great servings. It is a 10-minute walk from Siam Guesthouse.

That it is a family affair Very polite and welcoming Lovely quiet area (if there is no construction) Evan with the chickens at sunrise Family dog well trained Ordered us a tuk tuk to get us to the bus terminal Nothing seems too much trouble

Unfortunately there was construction near by This is totally out of Siams hands Street dog chased my husband up the entrance And Evan up the stairs to our room Very unpleasant Maybe because he was carrying food

Amazing place for a short or long stay in Kanchanaburi. The guesthouse was decorated in a cool/fun way, with a pound, tables to eat or work and a chill area. Rooms are very spacious, clean, the ac worked perfectly and wifi was super fast! The owner is amazing, super helpful all the time. He helped us to rent a scooter the right amount of time that we needed and also with a lot of tips/advice because we where there during songkran. He make us the favor of keeping our bags until we took the bus so they didn't get wet. If we come back to Kanchanaburi we will stay again here.

Perfect location, walking distance from many restaurants and shops but located in a cul de sac off the main road so a bit quieter. Beautiful building and garden, clean and comfortable with a very helpful host.

Only drawback was loud music until about midnight every night from a nearby bar, this was obviously outside the control of the host and was less of an issue with windows closed and aircon on. Just an occupational hazard of the area if you're not a party animal yourself :)

Great location, close to everything. Lovely friendly staff (and dog). Good value breakfast. Comfortable bed and plenty of space in the rooms. Staff helped us arrange transport to Hellfire Pass.

The walls are very thin and you hear noise from outside, so if people are up early you will also be awake. Not a problem for us but worth considering if you want a lie in!

Location was great, very close to train station, restaurants and bars (easy walking distance). From the bus station it was a bit of a longer walk but we didn’t mind as it was a pleasant walk next to the river. The owner was so nice and incredibly helpful - from renting a motor bike, helping us get the bus to Arawan or simply offering some watermelon for breakfast! Thank you so much, we highly recommend!

The room and the hotel itself were maintained very clean. They do ask you to leave your footwear outside the room. Good Value for money. Very quiet neighborhood. Did not have any insect or mosquito issues while sitting on the verandah upstairs. Did not have any issue finding the place also. The A/C was functioning well and not noisy. The rooms were very spacious. The combined bathroom and W/C were also spacious. Hot water was functional and no issues.

The WiFi strength on the upper floor was erratic. It was okay at times and very low most of the times. However, if you come downstairs, then the signal is very good. I had the upstairs room which was the furtherest away from their office downstairs. Maybe, this was the reason the signal was not good in the room.

The location is close to lots of the restaurants/main road, and some attractions close by. The accommodation provided value for money. Owners were very lovely. Bed was very comfy.

The bathroom was a bit outdated/unclean compared to other places we've stayed in at a similar price elsewhere in Thailand.

A friendly welcome and throughout the stay. The room was basic, but clean, spacious and functional. The communal area is nice, with individual table and chairs outside the room. I was also treated to some fresh mango at breakfast! The location is great, nice and calm, and a short walk to the shops and bars. Would stay again if I come back to Kanchanaburi. Thanks for having me 🙏
