Very friendly house and mals restaurant staff. To be honest I found all the staff throughout the resort lovely. Spaghetti house not so much.

We did have a not so nice experience at the spaghetti house unfortunately. I can’t complain about the food as that was delicious but the service was very poor. It was a busy night so I would have anticipated more floor staff. A shame to be fair because I have always looked forward to dining there but this time our group were underwhelmed.

The overall experience at the resort was amazing. They have plenty of activities happening throughout the day that we were able to participate in. The view from accomodation was amazing. We went snorkelling using the free equipment provided by the resort and encountered plenty of fish which the kids enjoyed a lot. The staff was amazing, friendly and very helpful, especially Tui at reception. Tui made us feel welcomed and ensured all our queries were attended too. The rooms were clean, and the AC was amazing after a hot day out at the beach. The house keeping were very nice as well and kept us topped up with the amenities. There is a rental company just outside the resort with really affordable car rentals as well.

The breakfast buffet is very average, and overall the menu at the restaurant is very basic.

We had only heard good things about the Edgewater Resort and Spa. However being a pessimist, I wanted to form my own opinion. Well, I didn't need too, all the positive reviews you hear and read about this place are correct, whether its the friendly and welcoming reception team, to the landscape gardeners, to the laundry ladies and cleaners; every single staff member in this place are so accommodating. Before we arrived we had planned to visit a number of Rarotonga's many restaurants and eateries, however we found the meal options; at breakfast, lunch and dinner, to be wide ranging, tasty and reasonably priced. The themed evenings offered great variety to keep our group coming back most evenings during our stay. Although we did get out and about, those more inclined to stay within the resort would be well catered for by the on-site facilitates or at the Spagetti House and Grill at the Entrance to the Resort. The Mal's Bar was a focal point for our group - from the cocktail happy hour in the early evening, to the drinks vouchers system, to the location of the outdoor area; offering the most stunning of sunsets, you could spend hours sitting here watching the azure waves break over the outer lagoon reef. The wonderful restaurant and bar staff were always happy to accommodate and I could not speak more highly of the hospitality they provided to our group during our stay - Meitaki Trina, Jimmy and Inoke just to mention a few! The Lagoon is packed with tropical fish and we spent many an hour snorkelling and swimming in and around the beautiful coral formations; with the team at the activities bungalow always happy to sort out your snorkelling gear, reef shoes and towels. The ladies in our group spent a lot of time in the on-site Edgewater spa and were extremely happy with the results, so much so, they convinced a number of their partners to partake, including myself, best massage I have ever had!!! - Meitaki Gino - The man with magic hands!!!

The only downside was a group of obnoxious 50-60 somethings Aussies who tended to drink too much and believed urinating between the beachfront apartments buildings and on the beach in the middle of the afternoon was acceptable behaviour. But you definitely can't blame the lovely team at Edgewater for that.

Second time staying here and it was great. The room is lovely, the staff are very friendly, I loved the food and happy hour! Close to town. I loved how some of the staff absolutely loved the babies they were always cuddling them and helping the mums so they could get their food. Very family friendly. Free breaky yum!! Snorkeling is really good as rocky lots of fish and they feed them, can be a little dangerous at times depending on how rough the sea is. The kids club and activities are really cool

The beds are very firm and the tv remote didn't work and this seemed to be a theme as our friends didn't either.

I loved that the staff were so helpful. I found the staff who were not locals were the most helpful. I loved that the resort had so many activities for the kids. The range of breakfast needs to include maybe boiled eggs and more toasters. I loved the breakfast overall. I loved the complimentary equipment for snorkeling. It was cool for the kids. Our villa was perfect for our family, loved it had a washing machine.

Local staff were not so friendly and at times quite judgemental. Nothing at the front end of the booking to say the resort will hold credit card details for "incidentials." I was only told this on check-in. Often, there are not enough tables by the pool for everyone. Our villa needs updating in some areas.

Breakfast was amazing - so much fresh fruit, lovely Bircher muesli, muffins, toast, cereals and the option to pay extra for hot cooked items. Very clean, organised and lovely staff. The room attendant was fantastic, did an amazing job cleaning the room and very friendly. The staff at the Resort are a great asset and location is great.

Would have appreciated water bottles in the fridge instead of having to purchase water or boil water. The rooms are tired and in need of renovation (couch in room faded and stained, bedside tables old and heavily marked, shelf in drawers for clothes broken) but the views were amazing from the Beachfront room.

The Staff - they are certainly there for and try hard to fulfil your requests. The layout - whoa! This place is huge yet I never felt swamped. I was part of a family of 10 spread across this resort. Had a great mix of people at this resort. All ages of mixed global cultures. Pretty much everyone was smiling and chatting to each other. A great vibe. and I do not like people - fact. They have fancy rooms and not so fancy. Yesss I picked the wrong one, my bad, again! Hey I got great bang for my buck! Was I comfy? Hella yeah! Would I go fancy? Doh! Talking villas next time because 20 family members could not travel with us but pssst you defo want the spa bath and the ocean view is well... beautiful. Did I explore everywhere? Noo (that's a lot of walking. Me not a fit 60!) there is a tonne of activities to be doing if you want to and an island to explore. For us we had family for extra entertainment. Oh reception have a daily news sheet like you get on cruise vessels ohhh before I forget NO elevators so if you cannot do stairs, ground floor accommodation for you. Packed too much vs stairs? A team member will gladly assist you and carry your luggage making you feel welcome along the way. I like local knowledge. Is tipping expected? NO A tip will be refused, be prepared for that cos that's just honest. I like a coffee break, and a treat on a bad day is a nice pick me up (yes I tipped and then I ran OK) Meitaki maata Edgewater team

Check in before 2pm ugh! I aint gonna lie, those roosters. Gotta do something bout the lighting at night folks, they're noisy! Enter Raro before check in at your peril. This place really crunches numbers and hey, you go to Raro to chillax. 2pm check in worked great for the young. Me at 60? Never again. Next visit will be a villa! lol

Staff were lovely and eager to please. I couldn’t fault them. The lady who does the tour bookings was just so helpful! Also a shout out to the big fella Tui - he always had a huge smile on his face and was so polite and well mannered. Security help carry your bags up the stairs which was so lovely!

I made an in person appointment at the spa and they somehow lost it. That was annoying because I’d organised my day around the appointment. I did however get a massage at a prior appointment and the Filipino guy was excellent! Wifi could perhaps be included given the price.

Edgewater resort is located near great snorkeling locations, and has everything you could ever want onsite Rooms are comfy. I was in a lagoon room which I highly recommend. It had a stunning view of the reef and sea, the pool and palm trees and was close to the resort restaurant for easy access to those refreshing drinks and yummo meals Nightly entertainment and themed meals were great. Check my pics for the single person serve on Curry night 😍 for $30 AUD The pool is clean Beds comfortable Pillows could be renewed but they work. AC is a wonderful addition but the ceiling fans crank out a good breeze, so plenty of options to be comfortable I love this hotel, and the staff and the amenities I can't wait to return

Most of the tables in the Outside seating/dining area are too high for the chairs. Either the tables could be lowered (not so good) or the chairs hightened (Best)..
