property and facilities were great. close to convenience store and takeaway across the road. Staff were very accommodating especially Elaine (thanks). Rooms were immaculate and well built with great finishes. I love the loft style rooms. looking forward to when the tapas bar gets built in a few months.

the beach out front isn’t really great for swimming but the pool is great. I’m not sure if they had them but maybe they could hire out e-bikes and scooters to get around easier. a pool bar would also be good. these are more nice to haves rather than anything I didn’t like.

I had a fantastic time at Ocean Escape Resort & Spa in the Cook Islands. Owners Jade and Barry have created an amazing boutique resort with exceptional attention to detail. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the well-stocked fridge, mezzanine bedroom, huge shower, utilities, small dishwasher, mood lighting and the beautiful pool. One of the standout features is BJ's bar, built smartly on stilts so as not to obstruct the stunning beach views from the poolside comforts. This place is a real secret treat, with amazing food and cocktails and lovely friendly staff. As a solo traveler, I felt very much looked out for, thanks to the excellent communication before and during my stay. Manager Elaine seamlessly set me up on activities and adventures all week, ensuring I had a memorable experience. Above all, it was the kind-hearted people involved who obviously love what they do that made my stay exceptional and comfortable. The eco-friendly design of the resort is impressive, ensuring minimal environmental impact while providing all modern comforts. The villas are spacious, beautifully decorated with a fresh coastal feel, and equipped with luxurious amenities. The staff, led by Elaine, went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. Their attention to detail and personalized service made me feel truly pampered. Whether it was enjoying a local beer by the poolside BBQ or relaxing on the outdoor daybed, every moment was pure bliss. I couldn't recommend Ocean Escape Resort & Spa enough to anyone looking for a tranquil and luxurious escape. It's the perfect place to unwind, reconnect with nature, and experience the beauty of the Cook Islands.

Great place to stay and very clean. Beds are comfy and like the leg lighting in the room. We received a lovely welcome from Elaine when we arrived who greeted us by name when we walked in which made us feel special. We arrived at 8am and didn’t expect the room to be ready until normal checkin time but Elaine said the room is available for us. We were so happy be able to have the room ready early as we were so tired and hadn’t adjusted to the time zone yet. Elaine herself is a real asset to ocean escape she is warm and friendly with a lot of knowledge and can book or recommend anything you need. The room is stocked with everything you need to cook a nice breakfast and some extra snacks if you are feeling peckish. They have a tapas bar there too called bjs, the cocktails there are the best in the Cook Islands we have been travelling around trying them all and these ones by far are the best! The Pina colada and mojito are a must try. Thank you

Right from booking, the lovely Elaine was in contact.. not just in contact but matched my excitement and kept in touch. Her and the resort owner Barry offered us an earlier check-in knowing we were checking out of another resort on the island that day, then allowing us a later checkout to accommodate our departing flight. Elaine was so personable and caring and just an absolute gem, having daily chats and really making us feel like family. Barry was a regular chat too and we honestly left the resort feeling like we had made amazing friends. Barry's vision and execution of the resort is a great story and one he was happy to share in the bar our first night, and while we are on the subject the bar and restaurant... AMAZING! the best cocktails and Barry's personalized tapas menu was delicious 😋. The pool was stunning, salt water, gorgeous little room front loungers and umbrellas... rooms were stunning, great attention to detail and everything you need, including bug spray, beach mats, board games, smart tv, stunning showers! your own little outside couch.. great aircon and fans, USB charging ports, breakfast hamper and a bottle of bubbles!! Amazing massage in the day spa... I could go on and on, the bottom line is... We LOVED everything about the place and we will be back as soon as we can! Close to Muri, walking distance to Villis burgers... You will not be disappointed at the quality of this resort and the beautiful people.

This is by far one of the most beautiful places I have stayed. The staff are all so lovely, the views amazing, pool is natural ocean water, accommodation is top class. The spa treatments are heavenly. Would definitely recommend staying here. Photos don’t do it justice.

I don’t think I can rate this property highly enough. From the beginning of our stay being shown to our villa with a sea view to check out everything was perfect. Every single staff member was kind and helpful, the room was spotless and even after checkout when we were invited to use the pool we felt welcome and in no rush to leave. Eagerly anticipating the open of the Tapas bar. We will be back.

I honestly can’t think of anything I didn’t like about my stay and villa.

Stunning resort and rooms, equipped with everything you could possibly need. Pool and beach area was cute and relaxing. Great location, close to Muri.

This small resort really is an escape and retreat. The units are supplied with absolutely everything, are spotlessly clean, and modern. There is a a great self catering plentiful breakfast in your unit, which is refreshed every 3 days. We had 9 days here and were lucky as the tapas and cocktail bar opened for the first time duringour stay. A great spot to spend a couple of early evening hours. Barry and Jade and their staff know what it takes to help make your holiday great. Friendly and helpful. My partner enjoyed the spa facilities. You need to book ahead for this. The pool lounging is enhanced by nice chilled out music, at just the right volume. The island bus stops across the road every hour but we hired a car for the time we were there. The sea is right at the resort with a small sandy beach but this is not a snorkeling spot. The reef is relatively close to the resort at this spot on the island. There's a communal washing machine available and a small clothesline at each unit. Muri Beach is close by, and there's a night food market 3 times a week. Sunday is the best night as all the food stalls are open. For other restaurants, Jade and Elaine gave us great recommendations. There is a supermarket and burgers literally 2 mins down the street. We didn't try the burgers. It turned out that Jade was also a nurse and dressed a wound when my partner hurt himself. Thank you so much.

There wasn't anything we didn't like, but if you were disabled or struggling with stairs, just be aware that the bedroom was upstairs and the bathroom downstairs next to the lounge and kitchen.

Great facility and service all the way through. We are poor planners for the trip and rushed to the Ocean Escape, the owners/hosts and staff helped us had everything arranged to perfection. Really appreciate the time and effort they had spent on us, and truly we are feeling valued and respected more than guests to a hotel. Also very much impressed by the design and facilities of the resort (rooms), in which we found the owners paid attention to every detail from a customer perspective. We really enjoyed our stay in Ocean Escape and will definitely recommend to everyone visiting Rarotonga.

The villas were so nice and homey and the location was great just down the road from Villis burgers and the gas station all the staff were so lovely and helpful and the owners were so awesome. I will definitely be back to stay again. They have a spa on site too which was lovely and a restaurant with really nice for and drinks too. Just a short drive from everything and Soo relaxing!
