A lovely location, very peaceful. The grounds were fantastic! The breakfast had a great selection, including a nice gluten free selection. The car parking facilities were great, with good lighting and security… plus umbrellas in case it is raining to help you get to the main building.
Overall the grounds are amazing and the castle itself was well maintained, although in the room we had there was need for a number of touchups to maintain the standards found elsewhere. The giant chess board in the garden is a nice touch but it falling apart unfortunately.

During my visit to Kasteel De Vanenburg The hotel generally exceeded expectations in terms of staff and cleanliness. My stay was from September 9th to 11th. The hotel is wonderful and beautiful, carrying historical character in its visible details, while the interior is very comfortable, clean, and equipped with the best amenities. The room design is excellent, consisting of a small, beautiful entrance with a simple detail that's useful for removing shoes when wet from rain. You can take off your jacket in this small entrance before entering the warm, beautiful living area. The lighting is comfortable, the wooden floor is lovely, and there's a small kitchen (not equipped with cooking utensils) and a balcony that offers privacy. The bedroom has a comfortable, large bed, spacious wardrobes, and an excellent bathroom. The hotel is situated in a beautiful area where you can wander around and contemplate nature, including lakes with some ducks and fish. There's a small reserve with some apple and pear trees. Adjacent to them is a beekeeper selling honey. I recommend exploring the surrounding areas, which feature some beautiful details like farms and animal barns. Everything is fresh and tastes different from the cities. If I ever return to the Netherlands, this hotel will definitely be on my list of hotels to stay at for more than two days. The calm surrounding the place gives you positive energy through contemplation and disconnection from electronic devices. The staff are very cheerful and wonderful, highly helpful. The technology used for check-in and check-out services is excellent, better than some world-renowned hotels. I wish them success and hope they maintain their wonderful standards.

A beautiful country side with lots of birds singing. It is a cozy, calming place; where you feel the natures presence at most and can breathe fresh air. Quite and relaxing. The breakfast was very satisfactory and all employees are kind and helpful. Even the small souvenir cabinet was surprisingly good, you can find some good options. It was the exactly what we paid for.
We arrived at night and the room is just next to the forest. It was a little bit chilling us but in a good mood :)

Kasteel de Vanenburg is a magical escape that truly feels like stepping into a fairytale. The castle’s location, surrounded by beautiful nature, offers a peaceful and refreshing break from everyday life. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay.
The only downside was the TV connection—it wasn’t very stable, and we couldn’t log in to Spotify or Netflix. Still, the charm of the castle and the serene surroundings more than made up for it.

A truly magnificent, peaceful environment - Would have loved to stay longer! Supergreat personnel everywhere and wonderful breakfast, à hotel to try out, also for a love weekend. I was happy it was not raining though, my room being one of the farthest from the main buildings (umbrellas are gracefully available!). Can only recommend and will definitely be back!
Did not manage to connect to the wifi in my room enither with my laptop nor my Iphone, only in the main building. Had dinner in the brasserie, also here great staff, but I was disappointed that it was not possible to have a simple piece of bread to my otherwise fine Carpaccio. I find the Brasserie overpriced compared to what you get, also wine wise, you get the choice between "A Ventoux, A Merlot or a Cabernet Sauvignon.... :-)" - Then you know that wine is not in the high seat.

Ambiance, tasty and rich breakfast, huge and quiet garden... excellent for families. I'd prefer to stay again for sure. Price/performance ratio was quite good.
There were many mosquitos and houseflies due to being in the middle of nature, so no comment on their existence, however the stains and the dirt on the walls and curtains could be cleaned. It wasn't appropriate for a hotel at this level. I'd provide insecticide sprays or any other help for the customers, instead of letting them find their own solution. The room was clean in general except this detail.

The location is great! Quiet, in the middle of the countryside. Even on a cold winter day, one can make beautiful walks through fields and forests. The hotel is surrounded by a small 17th century estate, with nice landscaping elements. The hotel itself is a beautiful old building, although the rooms are situated in small buildings scattered around the property. Which is a good thing, as the rooms are therefore modern, with all the comfort one needs. Still the rooms have the same atmosphere as the main building.. There is a restaurant overlooking the park. The room had a fridge, coffee maker and water boiler for tea. Cars can be parked at a big parking lot (plenty of EV charging points) and the train station is just a 20 minute walk away.
We had several bookings for family members. For one booking front desk staff gave us the key for a small room, where we had booked a bigger one. It was all solved nicely by a different person at the front desk, but I got the feeling a big part of the staff are students and trainees. Also during lunch, most staff were very young and orders took quite long to arrive. One needs to learn the trade of course, and especially with current staff shortages it's not a big deal at all. It does mean things don't always run smoothly though.

We booked about twenty minutes before we arrived. When we got there, the staff were very welcoming. We were asked if we wanted breakfast at the property, which I didn't think would be possible since we're vegan and would need it delivered to the room. To our surprise they were able to accommodate. The breakfast was absolutely amazing too! The entire stay was a highlight of our trip. I can't believe the value for the money - I have to imagine it costs more during peak travel season. Honestly, I'd arrange a whole trip just to come back here. Wow!

The location is wonderful and the staff all very helpful and friendly. A good breakfast too. We were attending a workshop and the facilities were very good as well. Nice walks in the area and the public transport is nearby.
The room although well appointed, was quite small and the work space cramped. There were not really areas to sit and relax or work, other than outside in the garden which if raining can be tricky.

A beautiful location, looking like fairyland when you arrive in the dark. The bedrooms are comfortable and functional - located in the grounds a short walk from the main castle. I got a ride in a golf buggy as I had lots to carry. Breakfast was lovely with a huge choice.
Signage from the car park was hard to find in the dark.
